I will be definitely coming back here! I changed my mind midway on the way to lunch at Louie's restaurant since they don't serve an Irish Breakfast - This Pub is across the street. Definitely wanted the Irish Breakfast and the place made an exception because our server asked the cook if they can and they did!! It's a welcoming and cozy place especially on a rainy day! The menu stated they only serve this on the weekends but today was Columbus Day and since the crowd didn't start coming until a bit later I was able to get the Irish Breakfast I was craving! It was the best I ever had with huge pieces of black and white pudding! They don't serve them this size at a diner that is for sure! My husband was going to order the bangers and mash but they ran out of them so he got the Shepard's Pie which he said was tasty, filling and hit the spot. He had two Guinesses on tap and that was good as well. They also have unsweetened iced tea here which I ordered and enjoyed. I was shopping in the area and wanted to grab some dinner. After finding this place on Yelp I made my way here. I was so happy to be able to eat indoors since in NYC we can't We ordered Buffalo wings, Reuben sandwich and chicken fingers. The wings and chicken fingers were really delicious and I couldn't stop eating them. The sandwich was okay I just wished they had toasted the bread, it would had made a big difference. We arrived late afternoon on a Friday and it was fairly quiet with what was most likely a local crowd. The bartender was wonderful! We didn't get his name, but he was really conversational, had some good jokes and an Irish accent. Really good person. We opted for the pretzels; beer for me and wine for my wife. My beer on draft was cold; ice cold. So good on a warm, humid afternoon. The Giant Bavarian Pretzel was excellent! The homemade mustard and cheese were also a very nice touch. I was there on 8/31/23 and the girl behind the bar was so unfriendly and looked miserable. At the end she joked around about how good of a tip to leave. that was the only communication all night. I still left a $20 tip for the short time i was there with the 4 drinks i got. When my credit charge came in i saw she added an extra $5 and made it $25 tip!! You can tell everything is freshly made, there batter on the onion rings must be the best I ever tried Not to mention the batter on the fish. Framed Sports Illustrated cover photographs adorn the length of the right wall, a huge TV hangs at the bars far end, creates the kind of Irish sports bar feeling that suits my drinking atmosphere desires to a tee. If you need a local pub, this place is great. The atmosphere is very pub style. There is a nice size bar, with some side tables. The place overall isn't that big but when I stopped in for a couple of pints it seemed to get packed because there was a birthday party going on for a 50 yr old guy. So if you are turning 50, this would be fun place to have your birthday party. The food was pretty good! I had the crab cake salad. The crab cake was great, very large lump meat crab used to make the cakes. The salad was a bit bare and on the small side though. Also had the potato skins which were great. $7 for a pint of guiness. Me and my boyfriend went here after getting off the LIRR around 1am after a concert. We were really hungry and nothing was open so we figured we would go here since it is open late. We got the quesadilla, everything pretzel, Moscow mule, and vodka ice tea lemonade. Food was really good and large portions, very fresh. I really don't like to post anything negative about a place but last night left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and I just wanted to share my experience. My husband and I were in the neighborhood and we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. The waitress who told us she was the owners daughter was very nice. She recommended the beef stew which was really good, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also really good and we had the sweet Thai chili wings, which again were good. Here's the part that really annoyed me. I ordered a Malibu Bay Breeze, the waitress came back and said would you like a small or tall, I said it's Friday night I will take a tall. She bought over the drinks and when I tasted my drink, I could not taste the Malibu at all. I called her over & asked her if there was Malibu in my drink. She says we put one shot of Malibu in the tall. I said, if it's a tall, shouldn't there be a little more Malibu? She said don't worry about it. I will take care of it and add a little more for you, it's not a problem. I said ok thank you and went on to enjoy my meal. Being Irish and in the business myself, and coming from a family of Irish bar and restaurant owners, I understand the business and how important it is to make customers happy and how important they are to a business. That being said, we get the check and I see Malibu $12, and a shot of Malibu for $8. I called her over and I questioned the $8 shot of Malibu. She says you said there wasn't enough Malibu so I added a shot and charged you for it. I said wow, a shot of Malibu is more than the complete drink itself, but that's not what has me annoyed. You specifically said "No worries, not a problem I will take care of it for you", and then you charge me for a shot? She said yes to which I responded what you should've said was I can charge you $8 for another shot if you would like. It's not like I was having a shot Casamigos or something in that category, I was drinking Malibu. For another $8 I could buy a bottle of it. I understand bars and restaurants are struggling after the Pandemic but to charge me after clearly stating you would take care of it, was not nice at all. She ignored me after that and I said never mind and paid the bill. As we were walking out, she turned her back on us and didn't even say thank you for coming or good night. My bill was over $100 the least you could do is say thank you.. Customer service is a very important part of any business and I just feel that this young lady just needs a little help with this so that situations like this one don't happen again. read more

Excellent little pub! Guinness was served correctly, not rushed. Crab cakes were out of this world. All crab, I don't think there were any breadcrumbs at all, just CRAB! Had a terrible 1st experience with my boyfriend. Bad enough for us to never want to step into this bar again. We walked in at 12am & sat down in one of the booths. The place was empty except for a group upfront at the bar section. We were sitting there for what had to be like 20min.... nobody even batted an eye towards us. Eventually, we got up and just left, talk about AWKWARD. As you can see, we can't speak on behalf of the food/drinks because the service was so bad that we didn't even get a chance to order anything.
