The pancetta and calabrese were both salty but the pineapple balanced the pancetta. I personally preferred the Hawaiian side. It was a good portion size and I liked having the half and half option to try different flavors. Delish pizza big enough to feed a crowd. Can be a bit of a wait for pickup even on a Thursday, but totally worth it for some great pizza. A standout was the sesame crusted white pie, great garlic flavor and the crust is super unique and tasty. Hot honey pepperoni was a favorite as well. read more

I took my family here while visiting Whistler based on the reviews we read and we were definitely not disappointed. They have a nice variety of offerings that they can sell by the slice in a short amount of time. The staff was super friendly and the service was very efficient. My only slight complaint is that the slices I ordered were a tiny bit undercooked for me. I like a really crisp crust and mine had a bit of a "flop". Everyone else in my group got slices that were super crispy so I guess I was just unlucky. They say service with a smile, I was met with service with a scowl. Shannon, on of the hosts, really ruined my entire experience at Handlebar. I'm a local and have been a customer for a while, and that was the worst interaction I've ever had with any of the staff at the establishment. I can understand that people have bad days but it should not impact your professionalism so profoundly. Since, there have been times where I have questioned whether to buy pizza from Handlebar in case I have to interact with her again; I am aware of similar instances with other patrons. On the flip side, the back of house were twice as kind as she was from behind the kitchen, they never disappoint; shout out to all the Harrys. I am severely disappointed that this is the first impression many would receive of handlebar, it is a great spot which I would recommend to many, just not if she's on shift! read more
