Was there for the Australia fifa game over the weekend, sat at the bar, only to have the bartender be an absolute a**hole the entire service for absolutely no reason. He was rude, passive, and looked like he was high on something. I didn't catch his name but he was Australian and had realism tattoo sleeves. I had another friend come up to me and say 'what's up with that bartender? He's so rude'. That's when I knew it wasn't just me. I've been in the service industry for 10+ years and I understand the pressures and annoyance of people but if you can't at the very least be cordial to your customers then it's probably the wrong industry for you. read more

We were slightly high maintenance (so we thought) by asking to put an mls game on . They said it was not a problem at all! They happily accommodated ! The poutine was so tasty and good! We went to Tapley's for a late lunch/apres ski and discovered one of the best deals in Whistler! They have a lunch special from 12-4 for $20, which includes a sandwich, fries, and a beer. We ordered their Caprese Sandwich and upgraded to yam fries - and were blown away! The Caprese sandwich was everything we wanted and more. The bread was fresh, the pesto flavor unbelievably tasty, the buffalo mozzarella melted in our mouths, and the balsamic drizzle added the perfect complement to the whole meal. The yam fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned and came with a delicious chipotle mayo. Honestly, this meal was so good, I woke up thinking about it the next day and had to go back for round 2. Plus, our server was the sweetest! We sat with our dog on the patio outside, and our server not only remembered our dog's name the next day when we came back, but also remembered our order, and even the fact that I had asked for hot water instead of regular. This will be a regular spot for us for future Whistler trips! read more

Friendly staff, mainly because they liked our dog. The dissapointing part of our experience was when we waited over 30 minutes to find out that the staff forgot to place our 2nd entree and that it would take a "long time" before it would be ready. The waitress offered an apology then asked what else would we like. Because it had gotten so late, we apprehensive ordered something quick but unfortunately, not satisfying. The staff seemed more interested in visiting with other familiar guests than us. Another dissapointment was how our Cider drink had ice cubes in it, which customarily,Cider is not served this way. On a positive note, our wings were quite tasty. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant unless management takes their customer service & food availability much more seriously. read more

Wish I could put negative ratings. My girlfriend and I just finished dinner at sushi village, (great restaurant btw). This is my first time in Canada. We went to Whistler for a night and since we were up here we thought it would be great to go to a bar after riding our bikes to dinner. We walked in and kinda just hung out for about 30 minutes. We then each ordered a drink, I ordered a tequila shot. ALTHOUGH! This took us 20 minutes and while waiting at the bar I had my arms resting on the bar waiting for my girlfriend to get their attention to order something. We finally got our drinks and after about 5-10 minutes I ordered another two tequila shots (I am still completely sober atm) and I thought I heard the bartender mention that I looked tired or resting my head earlier so I thought he was just trying to make conversation and like a joke about how I need more tequila to "wake up" but NO! He never brought me my shots. So 10 minutes go by after I watch him make everyone else their drinks. Then we ask the other bartender and the original bartender says no he can't have any more. That's when I got so confused. He instantly walked away and tried avoiding us so we told the other bartender to get him over just so I could understand what was going on. He said "I saw you resting your head, you are too drunk so I have to cut you off" I said I have only had that one shot. He said "I don't know what you had before this" I told him that we just finished dinner. He said, "we could have you kicked out but you aren't causing a disturbance so I was gonna let her (my girlfriend) finish her drink". I just said okay and we walked away. Then we tried to play darts and my girlfriend ordered her own Moscow mule and asked for darts and they refused to give us either and said that they already told us that we have to leave. This was such a great first night in Whistler besides this horrible bar. Unless in Canada you have to be a crazy or up beat drunk in order to keep drinking then this bar is absolutely horrible. I know there are tons of bad reviews already but they need to change management or owners because this is just horrific. I can't imagine the amount of people that come here for boarding and mountain biking, the amount of business a good bar could do here is insane compared to what is currently there. I really wish I knew the bartenders names. One was bald and the main one was late 20's early 30's with short semi-curly hair and facial hair. Thanks for completely ruining our night. read more

This time, we were there on a Sunday for football, the crowd was chill yet lively. TV's everywhere. Waitress was very nice. Super friendly. I asked for water and it came with a slice of lemon. I've been to high end places that don't give you lemon wedge with your water. It was a nice treat. We were in Whistler on a Sunday and were looking for a place to watch some NFL. After going to a couple of other bars that told us they would have the TVs on, but not the sound, we stumbled across Tapley's. It's just around the corner from the Village Stroll, so we actually asked one of the locals where we might be able to watch the game, with sound, and were directed here. We had a super visit, enjoying the games on a multitude of TVs. We ordered some beef and barley soup and a burrito for lunch, and both were tasty. I wouldn't necessarily return specifically for the food, but the atmosphere for watching sports was perfect. I note that their posted hour are 11:00 opening on Sundays, however they were open at 10:00 when we visited. No doubt that the next time we're in Whistler for the weekend we'll be paying Tapley's a visit. read more

What a nice and unexpected surprise coming here! Honestly, the waitress Cassy (I hope that's right) made my night! She was hilarious, welcoming, mapped out our next move and told us where to hit the taxi line. Ordered their panned Canadian pizza. Their dough was super tasty, and the portions were huge. The place is filled with locals, and seemed to cater to the younger folks. Their local canadian tap beer was expensive for a pitcher, and tasted like any other branded beer. Overall, food was great for the price, but drinks were on the pricey side. read more
