Carnitas and consume for the tacos.
    Karen C.

Stranded at Love's with car trouble and not wanting roller weenies, we ventured here. The young man behind the counter was helpful with the menu .... So many choices. We had the Carnitas Plate and the Quesabirrias. So delicious. Will definitely stop here again on our way thru Ely!!

We were driving to Utah and needed some gas. Whole their getting gas, we thought we'd go ahead and have some breakfast. This place is located at a Sinclair gas station, so it's a convenient location. They have a pretty big menu. I opted for their steak breakfast burrito. I personally didn't like the burrito. The one thing that threw it off was their "Fries" in the breakfast burrito. It was like undercooked sliced potatoes. The fries didn't look fried at all. It kind of seemed boiled or baked. Since we were in a hurry, I didn't bother trying to get a refund or to get it remade. If looking for some Mexican food, I'd look somewhere else.

My daughter and I stopped here on our way home and boy were we surprised. I got the carne asada burrito and it was great. The meat was tender, the burrito fresh, the salsa incredible, and it was a meal all by itself. If you ever come through here it is well worth your time. My daughter had lengua tacos and she said they were incredible. They were fresh, with incredible cilantro. Next time we come through here I want to stop by. This place is worth stopping by. The portions are great, and the food is amazing.

This is a feast for the taste buds after some time in the desert! The food is delicious and fresh with a salsa bar. We had the Tres Leches cake and WOW! Portions are generous and the salsas are varied and a wonderful compliment.

Wow! Food and portion sizing were awesome. I had heard good things about the food and they were spot on. Got the nachos and fish tacos! I'm a big eater and couldn't finish it. I will definitely be back

From the salsa bar - great flavour and spicy!!!

Extremely generous portions and every part of the plate we enjoyed! Don't be scared off by the exterior. The food came fast and it was piping hot. All the sauces and the pico were fresh and spicy (which we loved).

This is Mexican fast food with a mini market. Lots of choices on the menu and daily specials. Great prices. We ordered the chicken tacos with beans and rice. Two loaded tacos, piping hot. All the required toppings. Served with delicious rice and beans. Also the large pork carnitas burrito with was the biggest burrito I've ever seen and it was not the largest on the menu. Came with a drink. There is a condiment stand with all the traditional Mexican toppings. Took half of the burrito and most of the beans and rice to go. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was piping hot, very flavorful and made to order. delicious!

Humongous amount of food for the money. Fresh-made to order. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was old school 'western/Mexican.'

La Fiesta was far and wide a much better meal than the steakhouse across the street and half the price. This restaurant is quite large with lots of seating and even more pictures of past patrons wearing the restaurant's signature sombrero. I wished it had been my birthday so my picture could have been taken! After sitting down we were promptly given chips and salsa (the salsa was a bit too spicy for my wife - but I love heat) and two glasses of water. I ordered the Super Burrito and my wife ordered the sizzling fajitas, both dishes included rice and beans. While we waited for our order I took a couple gulps of my water and then suddenly heard, "excuse me, may I please fill up your water?" Yes, thank you. As my wife and I discussed our travels and I drank more water, the young gentleman kept coming over and each time asked "excuse me, may I please fill up your water?" Unlike the steakhouse we had ate at the night before that never filled up my water glass the attention to service was very appreciated. Once the food came out - well, the portions are huge! I was only able to finish half of my burrito saving the other half for breakfast the next day. My wife also equally enjoyed the fajitas. The rice was a little crunchy so if there was one negative, the rice would be it. Overall, the food was tasty, the service was attentive, and for a little over $60.00 + tip the dinner was a lot better than our experience the night before at JT's Steakhouse. My only regret is that we didn't visit La Fiesta for both of our nights in Ely, Nevada.

Our non-water beverage was Athletic NA IPA. Dessert, Carrot Cake and Coffee. We split one plate and left the table feeling well-fed, not disturbingly stuffed. The pork chop was thick, tender and flavorful. The salad fresh and diverse, dressed to remind me of the former Evah's House of Steak. Brussels Sprouts, slightly steamed. dressed with balsamic vinegar. Scalloped potatoes mildly cheesy. Carrot Cake Big Slice, not over-iced or too suite. Coffee a strong Americano, steamed frothy. The Athletic was an interesting NA beer. Really Hoppy, strong pinyness, slightly bitter finish. Great choice for an occasion. May 9, 2026 - $92. Far better than dropping $50 in the slots snd having a burger later. Complimentary postcard.

However, the hostess directed us downstairs to the bar where you can order the same dishes. The bar seating area didn't look much different than the dining room upstairs. The steep prices on the menu didn't match the casual dining atmosphere either in the bar or upstairs. My wife and I both ordered the steak sandwich. She got a side of fries while I got a house salad aiming to share these sides. We also ordered a couple of beers on draft. There was a single server working the six or so tables in the bar along with the counter. She had to hustle to keep up and I appreciated the effort. We were off to a good start with the cold draft beers and house salad. They had Firestone on tap which is always a winner with us. The salad was fresh and enjoyable. My wife pushed all the croutons to my half which works for me. We didn't have to wait too long for the sandwiches. The steak was cut into thick strips that made it a little difficult to eat at first. I enjoyed the garlic mayo and the fresh bun. Grilled onions would have been nice but not on the menu. My wife's dinner was served on a badly chipped plate and her fries were terrible. They were soggy and just not appealing. Again at these prices, my expectations are much higher.

The food truck is set right in the middle of the cabins that the owners also run, and the whole setup has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Sandra herself was an absolute pleasure to talk to. She shared parts of her story with me, a story of immigration, resilience, hard work, and success that genuinely warmed my heart. You can feel that this business was built with determination, hope, and a lot of love behind it. The food was excellent. We ordered chips and salsa, pork street tacos, and a chicken salad, and everything tasted fresh and homemade, care came through in every bite. Simple, authentic, sincere food done really well. After days of standard road-trip meals, this felt refreshing and personal in the best way. Overall, if you are in Baker after hiking or exploring Great Basin National Park, this is absolutely worth stopping for. Good food, kind people, and the kind of small business story that reminds you why local places matter.
