Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. I'm used to my stylist calling me first just to make sure I feel comfortable with another person styling my hair. The front desk was courteous and professional. Tamara, my stylist was very professional and took good care of me. Took about 6 inches off my hair per my request. My first reaction was too much hair product because my hair felt sticky and I didn't like the way my hair was styled. I normally put a beach wave using a flat iron and light hairspray. I came home brushed out the product and restyled. Overall, the cut isn't bad and the service was professional.

Rolf's is located in the posh AJ's Market shopping center. I have seen him on TV, he looks like Dana Carvey. He doesn't cut hair here. The young hair stylists who do cut hair here spend too much time engrossed with too much personal chit-chat with each other that should be saved for private chat or lunch break. The prices for cut and style start at $45 and go up from there..depending on the level of their "highly-trained" hair professionals. They also offer professional make-up application service too. I was offered some water when I arrived for my appointment by the young snooty receptionist gal. I've had my hair done here like 3 or 4 times by different stylists and it's pretty much the same experience as described each time. Not too impressive, just ok for $45 plus tip. read more

From the moment I walked into the salon I felt well taken care of and safe with all the covid precautions as well. I had to travel 45 minutes to get there from Sun City West and it is worth it . Angela is amazing , My first time there and Anglea took her time , told me my h/c from Gig Harbor, WA Salon Riviera was right on . However, I am now is a very dry environment. I have my hair colored, cut and extension maintained by Olivia McKinsey, who is exceptional, knowledgeable and always on time. Olivia also gives the BEST head massage during conditioning treatments, that are out of this world. I love the customer service and the beautiful Salon located at Arrowhead, Peoria. After coming for over 15 years I am done. They make it impossible to get your hair done. Previously they separated the stylist from the coloring person and now they never work on the same day. I switched to LifeSpa in Scottsdale and it is more than 1/2 the price and less time! I highly recommend looking for someone else. It shouldn't be a chore to get your hair done. Such a shame. I showed up to my 12 pm appointment about fifteen minutes early to be told that it would actually take another hour. I was allowed to reschedule, but I decided to wait because I live far away, but it actually took two hours until my hair was worked on. Once I did get in the chair, everyone was super nice and I enjoyed the time I spent, but I realized after I got home that my entire head is completely bleached white with zero dimension whatsoever and some spotty looking roots. I had asked for a platinum balayage, and it doesn't look bad, but it definitely isn't a balayage, it's a straight up all over bleach job with zero dimension, and the low maintenance grow out I wanted will be impossible. I've attached photos of two inspiration pictures and photos of what I got. So if you're not interested in potentially needing to wait for an additional two hours without getting a heads up before you come to the salon, and if your idea of a balayage is similar to mine, then maybe this isn't the salon for you. But with that being said, the hair stylists did beautiful braiding and other things, I just won't personally be returning, even if offered to get my hair fixed. Once is enough.

I have been getting highlights for twenty years, I know sometimes it gets dry. I also noticed a jagged and uneven cut. I have since put on a mask three times and the ends are still fried. I reached out to Amanda this morning with a picture that clearly shows not only the fried hair but the horrible cut and asked for a refund. The response I got wasn't even from her and didn't even have a name on it. They just made another appt for me to come back in!! Why would anyone in their right mind go back after Amanda did such a horrible job and wouldn't even respond to my request for a well-deserved refund? There's $400 down the drain!!! Book an appt at your own risk!! Update: The manager, still don't know their name, offered me a refund for the haircut, the cheapest service. I agreed to the cut and tip to be refunded. But, Im still out $300 for burned, shabby looking hair. No apologies from the stylist or the salon. I just received a response from the owner on Google. In response to the owner, it looked fine when I left. Amanda hot ironed and you couldn't see the chopped cut. So, it does reflect perfectly. I tried to mask my hair at my own cost, why would I let a stylist touch my hair again after she did that? YOU would never accept that for your own hair, why should I? And I sent a very clear picture of the cut. You don't need to examine it in person!
