Our garage door sensors were malfunctioning, making it impossible to close it without holding down the button to override the sensors. I called Roll-O-Matic and they walked me through a few troubleshooting steps. When those didn't work, they put me on the schedule for a few days later, and ended up being able to come earlier than expected. John was courteous, professional, and installed two new sensors and explained all the work to me very clearly. Pricing was reasonable and it was a great experience overall. I called with a simple question and was asked to give my name and phone number and the woman on the phone said she would get back to me. This happened six more times (possibly seven) and to this day I have never gotten a call back. I finally got my answer off the Internet and it took me 30 seconds to fix the problem. Let me just start by saying that every other review on here is spot on. I was looking for a new garage door so i automatically went to searching at the big box stores like home depot. Lucky google alerted me of roll-0-matic right here in my own town. I stopped by un announced and was greeted by Gena who was beyond nice and answered all my questions, it didnt take long to realize this was the place I was going to use. I was considering installing the door myself and even that didnt change their attitude towards me and offered assistance. Home depot turn around time was more than a month snd higher prices. I called in the morning, he was able to stop by the same afternoon and fixed everything within 90 minutes, even reminded me to keep an eye on a part that is near EOL, but he didn't push for replacement. I was having a problem with my remote and was told by many garage door repair establishments that I would require a NEW unit. Then I called Roll-O-Matic and spoke to Gena. She was extremely helpful and suggested that John would actually come to my home and see exactly what was needed. Needless to say that he replaced just one pulley and then lubricated all the working parts. A tweak here and an adjustment there and the garage door is working as good as new. I would give ten stars if possible. Been having multiple troubles w our garage door that a different company came, said there was nothing wrong, charged us an exorbitant service fee for coming. Door finally just completely stopped working and had to call for help. Got John in on the same day. a most pleasant and friendly gentleman, who, upon just walking in the door was basically able to diagnose the main problem, plus all the minor problems we have been having with this door. Some amazingly fast and concentrated 20 minutes later, he was done and even did maintenance oiling, tightening bolts etc. door works like a dream for the first time in months. It wasn't as straightforward an install as I thought, the height of the door was going to impede where the rail was supposed to be placed. It was actually the most bitter cold day of last winter that John came to my rescue. The more than 20 year-old armature broke when I tried to raise the more than 40 year-old door that was stuck frozen to the ground. Gena worked with me to accommodate my peculiar work schedule and it was almost dark when John arrived atop the icy hilltop where I live. It was pitch black and 20 degrees colder by the time he finished installing a new, up-to-code, system with remote. I felt frozen stiff just watching him work diligently under inhuman conditions without complaint. The cost was more than fair. There is a special place in heaven for this couple. read more
