We loved the roll up ice cream! The experience though of watching them make your flavor is a must as you need to see how unique it is to pour the cream and then the flavors to make it into the flavor you choose. We loved the dreamsicle orange ice cream. It was sweet but not too sweet which we really liked. The only thing is the price! Having been all over the country and a small bit of the world. I've came to love a certain sweet dish. We are so lucky to have in little old Kalamazoo! Rolled up ice cream! I was very patient in celebrating them. How? Well by grabbing a cup of rolled ice cream during their soft opening. It was amazing and unprecedented to see such a huge crowd. But alas I know how amazing rolled up ice cream is. Well worth the wait indeed! The staff kept their cheerful smiles, jokes, and positive outlook during the entire busy bustle. I know that had to be intense. Was it worth the wait. Yes! Yes! And yes! I can't wait to go back! I got the brownie rolled up ice cream. It was simply divine. I'm proud to leave this review and wish this amazing new place success. Went back again and it's still some of the best ice cream I could have. Had to give the root beer float a try. Came here few times for rolled ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from. My favorite is the brownie. The staff is very friendly and quick. My only gripe is the ice cream is way too expensive especially for the portion size. Also tried their bubble tea - horrible and the tapioca bubbles tasted so old. read more

Look. The further a business gets from its original products the less likely that quality will prevail (think: HOT N NOW) HnN was a local hit until Pepsico Corp purchased and expanded the menu. HnN worked because it's limited menu allowed for fast service. This was lost along with the business (a very short lifetime for such a business!) Beware. read more

Stopped in today after hearing a lot about this place on Mlive and facebook. This place is amazing! My wife got the butter pecan ice cream roll up, and I got a non menu special item they had. The "moody". Raspberry, sea salt, chocolate and pretzels. They are all hand crafted amazing treats. If you havent been, I highly suggest you getting down here ASAP. I love the new concept in kalamazoo! It is a new open store on stadium, next to biggby. It is still their second week, so I am giving a 4 hoping that they make some changes to the container of the ice cream. We had the strawberry roll, which was really good not too sweet and creamy at the same time. I would recommend that they change their foam cups because it was a little bit hard for me to eat from it. The taste is really good; the owner chatted with us a bit stating that all the ingredients are fresh and local! Recommended :) read more

Pick your base flavor, pick your mix-ins and smash it all into a liquified blob. Slowly work it into a frozen slab and scrape into lovely little rolls that are always Instagram-ready! I've seen this process on several stories and wanted very badly to try it. Now we have it here!! I enjoyed my dish very much. Not too sweet, and just big enough to satisfy. The $7 price tag was a bit much, but the experience of watching the process go down made it worthwhile. The biggest concern I have is how much time it takes to make these lovely concoctions. The place was relatively empty when we arrived but was super-hopping as we were finishing. Those poor fellows working the slabs must be exhausted by the end of the day. Perhaps a few more slabs, especially come summer time when the weather calls out to all us Midwestern-moles to get our ice cream on? And maybe put some cabinets up to create the illusion of mystery when taking the mixing materials off of the bare shelves behind the hard working people. It just would look nicer than what they currently have all exposed to the elements and prying eyes. read more

Fun concept, great entertaining staff, but the result is... strange. It doesn't melt, but it's not so cold that you get brain freeze. (Seriously, an hour later it was still not ice cream soup, and it was 80 degrees outside.) If you're looking for that smooth mouth feel you get from premium ice cream this is not for you. It's a neat idea, but we were not impressed. There are much better ice cream places out there that are not overpriced.

The ice cream was flavorful, but small and a bit pricey. They offer only one size. I also tried their boba and it was terrible, such little flavor and there was barely any tapioca pearls. I don't even think that should be called boba. read more
