The restaurant was still buzzing well until the evening; it's a great mixture of upscale and trendy, but not overly stuffy. Food was delicious. I had the barbecue pork ribs with the coleslaw which I've had in the past. The ribs just fall off the bone. The cheese biscuit skillet is also delicious. We went here for my husband's birthday. This also was the night of the wind storm, so it seems Third and Hollywood may have been one of few with power, so we heard it was extra busy. Our plan was to get to the restaurant 45 min early to have a drink at the bar before our reservation. We arrived and were told that the bar was also on a waiting list to sit down and it wasn't first come first served; even the tables in the bar area. So we out our name in for the bar, and waited. We waited over an hour. In this hour, we saw the same hostess that told us we needed to wait for a seat at the bar/bar table tell another couple they could sit at the open table. When I asked her about it, she said "oh sorry, your table will be ready soon." This was pretty disappointing. We finally sat in the back room about 30 min after our scheduled reservation and never got a drink at the bar. Dinner was good. The rolls were great. We might return, but were pretty turned off by the bar situation. read more

Dined in for a three top reservation this evening for a Holiday gift exchange with some good friends who had never been to Third & Hollywood before, but who thoroughly enjoy the North Star Café and Brassica co-brands. We enjoyed lovely service, pleasant ambience and good conversation. Would love to come back and sit on the patio when the weather warms up, as I have only sat inside. Our happy hour drinks were lovely (some cocktails and a few glasses of wine) and were definitely reminiscent of some North Star classics. Our food was fine--we enjoyed the complimentary cheddar biscuits and pimento cheese and the corn dip. However, we found the artichokes to be much overhyped and not worth even the discounted happy hour price we paid. I think that if an artichoke is served with its leaves intact, it is best served whole and with the stem cut so a diner can easily peel the leaves for consumption. The halving and grilling method made the eating experience awkward difficult and took away moisture from the heart at the center. The bang was not worth the buck for the amount of the 1.5 artichokes of which we struggled to manage through one. Would definitely come back for the vibes, but will be avoiding the "limited availability" artichokes and will just steam some at home instead. read more

Good, but not great. Ambiance was really cool. Lots of brick and a very classy look. Service was fast and friendly, though we never received our appetizer until asking for it when the entrees came. It was comped, but the server went out of her way to state she never wrote it down when everyone at my table clearly saw her write it (or something) down as the very first item ordered. Made me feel like I was lying. I had the tuna which a side salad. The salad was very good, though redundant with the mixed veggies served along side the tuna, which emulated a pretty kick ass salad. The tuna was very good. Almost had a wood fired taste to it, yet I didn't see such an oven. Would have been nice to have been offered soy sauce or Wasabi. My daughter had the burger and fries. Both were very good, though the burger tasted like a Big Mac (nothing wrong with that). The men's room had paper towels on the floor and needed to be cleaned. A bit disappointing with everything else as nice as it was. Only parking option was valet for $7. It was easier to take my keys, pay the attendant, and walk to my car than to have them bring it around. read more

I've been for multiple occasions- large group, date, solo. Each time is a very pleasant experience. The staff is friendly- special shout out to Georgia. The Atmosphere is classy yet comfortable. I honestly can't remember what all I've eaten but I know I like to tuna. It was my first experience with fresh tuna outside of sushi, different but good. Ive had the pimento cheese and remember it tasting better than expected, generally not my thing.. In love with the biscuits I get those regularly even when I don't eat in. Most recently I dined for lunch & tried to Mexi Cali steak salad which was good. IT'S HUGE. Needed salt and pepper but the ingredients were fresh. Liked the addition of charred biscuit pieces even though a some were too burnt. For the price, I think the steak portion could be bigger. I also tried the Spritz mocktail -can't remember the exact name, but it reminded me of Christmas/ winter season. Overall I would recommend. They have lunch and happy hour specials as well. read more

Last night, we went to the Grandview Hop and prior I went online to find a restaurant to make a reservation for when we got hungry. I mentioned to my friend that we were going here and she said it was one of her favorites and now I know why. We arrived at 7:30 for our reservation and it did take a little to be seated but that was okay. We were able to split two appetizers, the Grilled Corn Elote and Iron Skillet of Cheddar Herb Biscuits. The biscuits exceeded my exceptions. They were warm and fresh. Definitely my favorite of the meal. During happy hour, I saw you get complimentary biscuits. For my meal, I got the Hollywood Burger which is Brandt Family brisket & chuck* ground in house daily, topped with cheddar, served with french fries. It was very good but I kept looking at my friend's meal. She got the Vegetarian "Mixed Grill". It looked amazing! It is seasonal vegetables with bread salad and wild rice. Although the appetizers appear amazing, every time I go I get the grilled artichoke which should serve 2-4 diners, but last visit my wife and each got our own. My grilled salmon had exceptional sear, smashed potatoes and al dente broccoli wonderful. Previously had steaks and roasted chicken which was excellent. Unfortunately multiple parties had 6:30 reservations and we were seated 40 minutes late. Another party complained that this was the third time in as many months this had occurred. The walleye and salmon were dry/salty, and the sides were (in both cases) poorly cut broccoli. Come on, man. Broccoli? POORLY CUT broccoli? We stopped by Third and Hollywood for happy hour before meeting friends out for dinner and my oh my were we impressed. The inside is intimate with a lavish ambience. Happy hour runs from 4:30-6:00pm Mon-Fri and boasts $3 off all drinks and appetizers, and complimentary cheddar herb biscuits. We showed up a little after 4:30 were able to grab two seats at the bar, although it was already pretty full. We tried their two NA cocktails, Blackberry Spritz and Sweet Strawberry Espresso. The strawberry espresso was delicious and I never would have imagined that coffee and strawberry flavors would tie so well together. Then out came the cheddar herb biscuits and holy moly were they good. They are cooked and served in a cast-iron skillet and come with a side of pimento cheese. Major yum. Our steak was very good. We both ordered the ribeye, the mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts, definitely lacked flavor. We had to salt and pepper both just to eat them. For an appetizer we ordered the biscuits. They were just OK nothing to write home about. I expected to be blown away, however they tasted like they were left over kind of hard and cold. The service definitely won this place the 5 stars! We were warmly greeted and staff was dressed very nice as well which is refreshing. The food was overall 4 stars. We enjoyed the elote appetizer which was a decent portion for 4 people. For entrees we had the Hollywood burger with the Pimento cheese which was cooked to perfection with perfect crispy fries. The salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes was good but salmon was a tad over cooked. My husband got the trout and asparagus which he loved the hearty helping of asparagus. And I had the roasted chicken which was juicy but could have used a tad more salt. Outstanding dinner! This was probably one of the best dining experiences we have had in the few months we have been staying in Ohio. We have been pleasantly surprised with how good the food has been around the Columbus area! This place is now at the very top of our favorites list! (Tip: make sure to make reservations. It is a smaller restaurant, and you will need to valet your car since there is basically no parking.) We didn't know you needed to make reservations since this was our first time here, but thankfully there was a little area in the bar that we were able to get full service. We both ordered the house made ginger ale, and let me tell you: it was the best ginger ale I have had in my entire life. I wish they bottled it! It was sooo good, that I ordered a second! We started with the biscuits and grilled artichoke. Both were amazing, and we would order them again. We decided to share entrees and got the Walleye and the Burger. The Walleye was phenomenal. I would order that again and again. The slaw that came with it was also very tasty. The burger was ok. It wasn't anything special as far as burgers go. It was good, just not as great as the Walleye. We decided to share a dessert, and got the pot de creme. It was so rich a decadent, and we loved the added sea salt. What a great way to finish the meal! We will come back again for sure. I had the chance to check out Third & Hollywood, and I can see why people speak so highly of it. The restaurant has this warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away, dim lighting, soft music, and an elegant yet relaxed vibe. It's the kind of place where you could just as easily bring a date or sit with friends for a long evening of food and conversation. I started with their cheddar herb biscuits, and they were out of this world, fluffy, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, I could've eaten a whole basket by myself. For the main course, I had the seared tuna, which was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the Hollywood Burger, and the bite I stole was juicy and full of flavor, definitely not your average burger. Their cocktail list was also impressive, I tried one of their seasonal gin drinks, and it was fresh and well balanced. The staff were friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and really seemed to care that we enjoyed our evening. If I had to point out one thing that wasn't perfect, it would be the wait time for our entrées. It wasn't terrible, but we did sit for a while after finishing the appetizers. It's definitely vibey inside in the classic sense, which I like! Sometimes simple is best. Love their artwork. Service was amazing too, super helpful and quick. We got the Caesar salad and added chicken. It was ok! I had expected a little more savory flavor, but wasn't bad! Wouldn't say it's the best Caesar in Columbus but I'd get it again. This was a really nice place. As a California princess, I was definitely a bit sticky and hot out on the patio but I made it through. The food was pretty great overall. Some interesting food pairings on the menu, but we rolled with it. The appetizers were quite small (we had a party of 9, with 3 children) and should've been doubled so everyone could share. I would've appreciated if the waitress would've spoken to that. The entrees were much larger in size and everyone seemed pleased with their meal. I had the ahi tuna dish and added their "wild rice" to get more carbohydrates in. The wild rice was in fact, wild. There was a lot going on in there and it didn't cross my mind to ask beforehand. For those with nuts sensitives/allergies: do not order. I would've preferred just some plain white rice and it all was fine in the end. Both were absolutely delicious! I have to say, it might have been the first time the chips actually matched the amount of dip, no awkward scraping at the end! The biscuits were flavorful, though I'd recommend asking for a side of butter to make them a bit less dry. For my entrée, I ordered the Seared Tuna with Chopped Vegetables, and I was obsessed. The mix of vegetables was so unique, yet everything worked perfectly together with the light dressing. The tuna was seared to perfection--tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of seasoning. I will absolutely be coming back just for this dish! Overall, Third & Hollywood nailed it on food and ambiance. My only note is that I wish the service was a bit more attentive. I've been hearing about how awesome Third and Hollywood is for years now and after seeing they made Yelp's Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants for 2024, I knew I had to give them a visit. My birthday is the day before Valentine's Day so while I wasn't there for a romantic evening, it still made for a beautiful backdrop to celebrate my special day. I was able to easily book a table directly off of their Yelp page and I really appreciated the text/email reminders leading up to my reservation. When my friend and I arrived, valet was the best route to go in terms of parking because parking is pretty limited in this area of Grandview. When we walked in, our table was ready for us and the staff was eager to greet us... even with it being a very busy evening due to Valentine's Day. Our booth was cozy as was the entire restaurant. The lighting was dim, the bar was sleek with stone and slate accents, there was a wall of wine bottles, and light music playing. It was really no surprise that Yelpers describe the restaurant as romantic. As for the menu, it is on the pricier side but nothing too crazy - great for a special occasion dinner. We ordered some of the iron skillet cheddar herb biscuits which I heard must not be missed. They were indeed divine and a great snack to munch on while we sipped over cocktails. I ordered an espresso martini and it was perfect! As for my entree, I was craving for a caesar salad and some fries. Basic I know. But it was my birthday so I went with it. The fries were just fries but the caesar salad definitely hit the spot. Maybe next time I'll order a real entree because I have no doubt I'll be back. I'll wrap this up by sharing that the customer service was outstanding. They over heard it was my birthday and they brought me a dessert to celebrate. I mentioned seeing them on the Yelp list and our server was beaming with pride, as he should have. That's an amazing accomplishment and their entire staff made it happen. We decided to go to third and Hollywood for brunch on a Sunday. We got to sit on the patio which was on the smaller side but very nice. I appreciated how it felt private from the street. The brunch menu only had a few options to pick from. I went with the steak and eggs and my girlfriend got the iron skillet chorizo and eggs. Both of these were absolutely delicious. I was ready to lick the plate but it is a classy establishment so I refrained from doing so. She also got an espresso martini which was decent but not our favorite.
