    char seoul bagel

Let's hope the char siu, kimchi, egg, and cheese bagel makes a comeback in the future ... Last weekend, I saw they launched a special collab with Hay Hay Roasted for this limited-time "Char Seoul Bagel." As a Hong Kong girl who loves bagels and char siu, this was literally a dream come true. I traveled all the way from JC to LIC and I was SO OBSESSED with it!!! It was basically a Hong Kong and Korean-inspired BEC. My taste buds sang at the first bite. It was layered with a fair amount of sweet and savory char siu, kimchi, pepper jack, egg, and a drizzle of chili oil. I went with their recommended plain bagel so the flavors could really shine. The bagel itself was perfectly fluffy on the inside with a crunch on the outside. If you miss this limited-time collab, don't worry. They also have bagel sandwiches with SPAM on their regular menu!

The cart isn't always here every morning when I get to work so I usually don't bother looking for it. My usual spot closed so I decided to give rollin a try. There was a line so it took a little while but it wasn't horrible. The guy taking orders was nice and personable. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a roll. I think they got good tasting sausage and cheese but not the roll. I wish they had asked if I wanted it toasted or not. Half way through I realized some of my roll was burnt and I had to rip it off it didn't taste good. It came out to $9.03 before tip. That's pricey for the area. The cart looks well kept.

Got a specialty bagel they were testing out with cha siu- was really delicious and I appreciated that I could customize the bagel and cheese. It was a bit heavy, and I'm not sure I loved the cheese with the cha siu. Would definitely come back for their other bagels!

Service is very quick. Owner/staff are friendly and attentive. Menu is surprisingly extensive for a food cart/truck. Bagels are fresh, flavorable and big. The bacon, egg and cheese is delicious. Eggs are perfectly cooked, bacon is crispy and cheese always melts. There is no ambiance to speak of because you're outside on 44th drive, center blvd or Jackson Ave depending on the day but the loyalty and friendliness of the staff and their customers is appreciated.

I got a sausage and cheese on a plain bagel, and the bagel was chewy and fresh. The service was great as well. I'll have to come back to try some schmears!

Pleasantly surprised! These are ginormous chewy bagels at a phenomenal price point! I got a bacon egg and cheese + cinnamon toasted bagel for $12, including tip! Think this will be my go-to moving forward! Great value and not a chain = all in!

Found this spot while looking for best bagels in NY and was not disappointed. Amazing service and I loved that these are hand rolled! Definitely worth stopping by on our trip here.

Fresh bagels! Chill dudes in the cart. Quick ordering but lines get long quick. Around 830AM on Sat. I wished blueberry was part of their daily menu but will settle for everything & cinnamon raisin.

This is the spot if you want to find a decent bagel spot in LIC! Surprisingly hard to find a decent bagel on a weekend morning when you're in this area. But fear not, Rollin bagel has the goods. During the week, they are in front of Skyline tower in the court square area and on weekends, they're in front of the hunters point library by the water. On weekends, there's usually a line and they'll start to run out of bagels. This past Sunday, we were there around 11-11:30am and they ran out of a few types of bagels. They're really fast with pushing food out, I was honestly impressed. I like how the bagel sandwich is still warm by the time we ate it. The bagel itself is perfect for my taste. It's not overly doughy, right amount of crisp, it paired so well with bacon egg and cheese. They had turkey bacon which makes me like this place so much more. I like how they have a lot good selection of bagels and cream cheese, esp for a small truck! There are many things I would come back here for. The other item we got was the salt bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was very delicious, I typically like sweet cream cheese with salt bagel so I'm glad they had that. Pro tip: they are active on instagram so it's great way to find out if they're open on holidays. @rollinbagelsnyc

My commute takes me nowhere near this truck, so it's taken years to get the right timing to finally try their bagels. WOW! I think this bagel is what pop-up bagels tries to be. Rollin is a nice mix of crusty, chewy, fluffy, and excels in each area. I had an everything with strawberry cc, one of the best versions of that in the city. As popular as the truck got while I was waiting, the two guys inside kept it moving. No wonder they sell out so fast. For the location, it's right at the entrance of the G train. Some map apps have the location across the street/around the corner.

I just tried the larger truck outside of Trader Joe's for the first time and I'm very impressed! Service was super friendly and my bagel came out quickly. I got an everything bagel with lox spread and it had generous chunks of lox in it, not tiny specs like some other places I've been (cough cough Utopia). Price was reasonable for the quality and size of the bagel, I'll definitely be back!

Sesame bagels with egg, ketchup, salt pepper and one of them has sausage too

It tastes like a bagel from a food truck. Not sure why people love this place. Go to Utopia, so much better.

And if you haven't had Birria-Landia or birria in general, well, you'll probably still like them! Casa Birria is a simple food truck with a simple menu of just a few items. I noticed they have a few meat options but assuming you eat beef, you of course have to get the birria (slow-cooked beef in a slightly spicy and indulgent broth). It comes in multiple vehicles which are all basically some configuration of tortilla, onions, cilantro, meat, and sometimes cheese depending on what you pick. The taco is the classic and the $12 taco combo is a nice deal, though as a smaller eater and cheese-lover, I personally go for a couple of mulitas. Juicy meat with a bit of heat, melty cheese, and legit corn tortillas soaked in that delicious broth, what's not to love? The truck is open pretty late, has fast straightforward service, and like any truck does not have seating so you have to either eat on the sidewalk or have a place in mind to bring it; there is a park a few blocks up. Definitely cheaper than most meals in this part of the city and I'd be a regular if I lived close by!

The price is right, he's efficient, clean and there's plenty of room for social distancing while you wait for your food. The trouble is when I went today it was a different guy. I said give me extra beans because I didn't want meat and leave off tomatoes because I'm allergic. Well in addition I didn't find any grated cheese, it's like a cheese powder on it, and he said he puts guacamole on top but he didn't. The good news I'm full and it was cheap and fast. I don't plan to return though. It's a cute cart but not that cute! It's not good when you get to the location where you plan to eat and find your food isn't up to par.
