Nice bakery in the LIC area - I really enjoyed the pear tart, and would return to try some of their sandwiches as well. Note that they do allow laptops, which I appreciate. There aren't too many seats, but also isn't the busiest during the week.

4.5. Dropped in on Saturday around 6:30pm and picked up a couple pastries to go. The location is on a corner and walking into the store, what comes into view first is the counter with pastry displays and register. For pretty late in the day, I felt lucky there were still quite a few items left! Getting a cannelle was on my mind though these were sold out by the time I arrived, so a pain au chocolate $4.25 and an apple turnover $4.75 it was. For ease of transportation the staff member manning the cashier was able to provide an extra paper baggie for the croissant, though it's extra (I think $0.2?) for a larger bag with handles. Their quality is very consistent and delicious. Buttery, properly laminated and risen, I appreciated the dark chocolate in the pan au chocolate so it wasn't too sweet. The apple turnover was good as well, a little sweeter from the apple filling. So good, especially for the price!

this bakery has such a special place in my heart. we've been buying birthday cakes from this bakery for the past year and everything we got (the napoleon, chocolate mousse cake, black forest cake, espresso 31) was delicious! i think the standout is definitely the espresso 31 as it has so many different elements (almond chocolate cake, espresso creme brulee, chocolate mousse, and chocolate pearls). there are lots of different flavors and textures that worked well together. the cake is so good that i've requested it for my birthday again after having it for my last birthday. the rest of my family tried it this time and really liked it too. we've also gotten other goodies like the brownie, cheesecake (amazing), carrot cake, and a roasted chicken and sirarcha sandwich and they were all good! this place is such a gem and we will keep coming back for sure.

Delicious desserts. Had their croissants and palmier which were so yummy, flaky to perfection. Also go their sandwich with tuna but it was really hard bread. Tough to chew. There are a few tables and there is also a bathroom available. Their coffee is decent and so is their chai latte. I would go back if I ever in the area again.

I am always willing to make the over one-hour trek to Cannelle LIC because of their premium cake quality and reasonable price. *Galette des Rois $30 L size Freshly prepared right before I picked it up, the pastry was so buttery, puffy and flaky. A rich almond paste was encased between the golden pastry layers. Surprisingly, the sweetness level of their frangipane is the lowest (compared to Dominique Ansel and Frenchette). Also the mini ceramic they hid in the king's cake was so adorable. What a cute surprise. I enjoyed it both warm and at room temperature, but I do prefer having it reheated in oven before serving to gain back the crispiness. The L size costed only $30 with 8 servings. The most affordable galette des rois I've ever bought. It can be pre-ordered online 24 hours before the pick up date. I also spotted that they sell S size ($20) in store, which is perfect for a smaller household.

I've passed Cannelle a couple of times when I walked through Long Island City to the waterfront. On a nice, warm, Sunday morning, I had the chance to check it out and order a morning coffee and a baguette sandwich. The coffee was good and the sandwich was great (salami and cheese with mustard). Nice service and ample seating. Cannelle serves pastries as well, but the sandwiches looked too good to pass up.

Great little bakery in LIC. I've been trying to go to the original one in Jackson Heights for a while, but they usually sell out of the primary French croissant items. Staff was very friendly. Area was clean. Nice music (not too loud). Not a ton of space. Would not recommend this location as one to bring a laptop and do work at. I ordered an almond croissant. It was excellent with a good amount of butter. They also had the cream on the inside. Will definitely go back. Very fair pricing

We get cakes from here for special occasions at my office, which is not too far away and I always enjoy them. Everything I've had from here is nice but I really like the Gateau St Honore cake...it's really an incredible creation.

Not much more to say but... Everything tastes as LIGHT AS A CLOUD! Items I've had: - Almond Croissant: very large, surprisingly light & crispy, not-too-sweet - mini Black Forest cake: again CLOUD - The Cannelle: believe the hype! buttery, vanilla, hits of rum. Sponge cake meets crumpet with a crisp shell - Carrot Cake & Red Velvet cake at a party: sliced, it might be small but Big impact! Great ingredients & flavors, raisins & nuts in the Carrot Cake, you can taste the quality, the cake looks dense but is again - a CLOUD. - Small Molten Chocolate Cake: (from a box of 12 at a party) VERY gooey on the inside (maybe 70%). Would have liked it to be a bit more cooked. Again tasty and not-too-sweet, quality ingredients. Open until the evening, which is nice. The space is a welcoming minimal wood design. It might be possible to work or have meetings in there, but feel the traffic in and out, of the mostly rectangle space, might be distracting. Wouldn't mind trying some other sandwiches or quiche for lunch and just a plain croissant. Decent prices for this quality. About a 15-20 minute walk from the Courthouse Square subway, but worth it! A very gentrified, now family-friendly area- between industrial areas. I think the NYC ferry stop is very close by though.

Wow the desserts at this place are amazing. I loved them. They taste really good. Me who doesnt often like to eat dessert because I want to control my weight, i gotta say this place blew my mind! I will definitely order more often from this place : )

    Vanilla Panna Cotta w/ Passionfruit
    Samantha D.

Bought a vanilla panna cotta with passionfruit to go on a Monday night. Didn't end up eating it until maybe 2 days later, but it was still pretty good. The panna cotta itself wasn't too sweet, and there was a good vanilla flavor to it. It was very smooth and creamy. The passionfruit syrup on top was so good. It tasted fresh, the seeds provided a nice textural contrast, and the tartness complimented the panna cotta really well. The price for the panna cotta wasn't terrible either. $6.50 for the panna cotta in LIC, is pretty good pricing for the quality and taste of it.

I know it's a super bad pic.. Coco Traise (L), Praline (in the middle)

The 7 layer cake is a beautiful work of art and the taste marches. Its a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting topped with strawberry and chocolate mouse. Note to the wise, don't make the same mistake I did. Always look at your cake once it is placed in the box. The display cake looked good, then I did not get to inspect the cake before it was placed in the box. Once I arrived home, I saw that the top part of the cake had a dent in the mouse and strawberry covering which made it look messy. It was an embarrassment to present it as such so I improvised by using the mother's day signage to cover up the blip. When I called to speak with the location about it they dealt with it very professionally and were apologetic about the situation and offered a comp. It was such a relief to have customer service go right after experiencing that.

We had low expectations, realizing it was in the middle of Times Square, assuming it would be a tourist trap like most places in Times Square. We were pleasantly surprised! It had really good crispness and delicious filling, which was vanilla forward (used to normal custard). Didn't try anything else except the lobster tail. They have other flavors as well -- we will try the Nutella flavored lobster tail next! AMBIANCE: Super small place (expected) so it's take away only. Would come back if I'm in the area again, although I tend to avoid due to crowds.

They don't have a large bagel sandwich or schmear section menu, they keep it simple here. But, I'm all about smoked salmon so we ordered the NY breakfast bagel sandwich. Bagel consistency was chewy and flavor profiles were light-for example I tasted a hint of the dill cream cheese schmear, hint of smoked salmon, chives, red onion , and lemon zest. Good, but would have liked stronger flavors or more of the ingredients. What shined was the cinnamon Babka! A dense bread with a soft gooey cinnamon goodness in the middle. Hard to have just one slice :D. They offer a chocolate one as well. Orwashers have a couple of locations, we happen to hit this one as it was on our way to The MET.

It's a simple classic cookie that's crispy on the edges and chewy in the center without being undercooked or gooey. I especially feel that a lot of cookies have too much chocolate in them, but I'm obsessed with the dough part of chocolate chip cookies. This cookie was a really good balance and it was delicious until the last bite. Gonna be an obsession for a while for sure. Other things to know the staff were pretty friendly and greeting when I walked in. It's a small place. No particular seating area available. Great to walk in grab what you want and leave. I did also try their tomato focaccia which was delicious. The Dubai croissant however, was not it. The filling was dry and the croissant had also dried out, so it was just a flaky chalky mess. But definitely go for the cookies and breads.

After an awkward moment trying to figure out who I was supposed to order from and then asking the price of a soda, I commented that the process was confusing.
