I came to work and saw their food truck outside and I knew I had to get lunch here. Me and my coworkers all had to get some food. Before going straight to the truck, we tried to find a menu online with pricing to decide what we wanted. We found a few different things online but nothing that was accurate. Also it would be great if they had a online order option as well cause we have short lunch breaks. We all went out to the truck and got great service. The people running thr truck are friendly and funny. Most of the food took about 10 minutes but one of us waited almost 20 minutes. Everything was cooked to order, hot and fresh though. I got the ghost wings and they were amazing! My coworker got the catfish and hush puppies and everything was soooooo good. If you ever see this truck, I recommend it for sure. Tried these guys at the 2025 Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis. Staff were pretty nice. Medium to larger size truck, seems nice and clean. The food was just average to below average for me. I ordered the chicken wings (you get 4 whole wings) for $10. The price was not bad considering you get the entire wing. I got the BBQ sauce, and it was little boring. Not great. I expected the wings to be tossed in the sauce, instead, the sauce was simply squirted on. This created inconsistent flavor bites. Some parts of the wing had no sauce, other areas had too much. I also added on $6 seasoned fries. Definitely not worth it. Fries were just okay and not worth $6 from a portion size and taste perspective. I also asked for ranch, and I was happy to not be charged extra. But my gosh, that was probably the worst ranch I've ever had. Just not good at all. Looking back, I probably wouldn't pick these guys again if there are other food trucks in the area. That said, I do kind of want to try their pulled pork and pulled pork fries. I tried the dry rub wings. They were AMAZING. Well seasoned, just super flavorful, crisp, cooked well through. 10/10 would order them again. I chose hush puppies as my side and that I would pass on again. They weren't flavorful and were to have been frizzled with honey but lacked that too. I tried someone's garlic Parmesan wings and they appeared to be the same original dry rubbed chicken with a sauce. I would prob pick the dry rub over the garlic parm. Someone else tried the ribs and also gave them praise. I completely appreciate that it comes with a full meal of a side and a soda cause most food trucks you pay the same amount for just 1 food item. The line was long but the food got out quicker than I thought it would. Can't say much for ambiance as it's a food truck and the ambiance is only as good as where it rolls. Will definitely grab wings from here again if I see the truck. read more

If it's busy, even remotely, I would recommend skipping this truck. We were at the Edina Art Fair and I thought their Pulled Pork Fries sounded good. They were okay, nothing to write home about. What was worse was the service. It took over 30 minutes to get my fries, after they told me it would take 10 minutes. The woman who ordered behind us got the same thing, but when her name was called, some other lady came and took hers. She must have been tired of waiting, since she demanded her money back. And rightfully so, the woman serving her couldn't tell her when her order would be ready, nor did she even apologize for the inconvenience or mixup. read more

Rollins came to North Memorial Hospital yesterday, and typically, I don't do many food trucks. Still, when I say this was worth EVERY penny, it was delicious, and I wish they came more often! Rollin Nolen's has been hanging outside of my place of employment on occasion over the last two years, so I've had a chance to try a good portion of their offerings. It seems as if most of the smoked things on the menu have the same thing in common - a pretty aggressive amount of smoke flavor and being somewhat dry. The ribs, rib tips and pulled pork are fine, but are mostly just smoke and the accompanying sauce. Some of the sides are pretty good (cheese curds) and some aren't worth the calories (the too sweet/cinnamony baked beans and soggy fries). Prices are pretty reasonable so you can get a filling meal for around twelve bucks, just temper your expectations. read more

I have only heard about this truck when I attended the Food Truck Extravaganza in Stillwater. My bf remembered getting food from them a few years ago when they parked at his workplace. He remembered the pulled pork sandwich being good. I was gonna go for the pulled pork sandwich per the recommendation but last minute at the counter decided to do the loaded pulled pork fries. Let me tell you that I'm glad I went for it. The portion was huge and they were generous on the meat. The meat was tender and tasted smoky. The fries were crispy and seasoned with Cajun spice. I asked for extra bbq sauce on it. The other sauce was sriracha. It was full of flavor. I recommend checking them out if you see them around. The only thing they need to work on is customer service. They weren't terrible, but just needed to be more attentive. I was greeted at the counter but just left at that - not a one moment please. I waited for a good five minutes until someone acknowledged and took my order. And then I had to repeat my order a few times because they were distracted. We just had Rollin Nolen's BBQ for our first food truck of the season at my work place. Excellent food as always. I tried their hush puppies for the first time. They were AMAZING lil balls of corn meal delight! Crispy in the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. Just enough onion for flavor, not overpowering. With just a drizzle of honey. They were just the right size. Not so big you couldn't eat nor then one. If you have an event coming up. Give them a shout. I'll be keeping an eye on their calendar to see when they're near by. The owners are amazing and their staff is so friendly and accommodating but most of all their food is something I dream about at night. His homemade sauces are packed with flavor and seriously so damn good! Best dry rub wings I've ever had! definitely a lifelong customer and anyone who didn't rate 5 stars, cut them some slack. I'll say 3.5 stars. The service is friendly and fast with reasonable prices and portion sizes for a food truck. I stopped by on a very busy day and they handled a long line like champs. I had the BBQ spare ribs, which were good by Minnesota standards. After visiting cities like Austin and Nashville, I NEED to find a good BBQ spot here in the Twin Cities. Unfortunately, this place fell short by those standards. Pretty similar to Famous Dave's. Overall, would stop again if I needed to satisfy the craving. read more

Oh man, Northeast Palace just got a lot more legit! Rollin Nolen's BBQ is giving Market BBQ a run for their money in our neighborhood. We've had their rib tips, full rack of ribs, fries with bbq and sriracha, cole slaw - and my favorite, collard greens. I went to visit this food truck at Cinco De Mayo and this was the first time I had seen it, or purchased any good from it. There were a lot of people around kind of making small talk with the lady taking orders, so it was quite a line. Then after the smoke cleared and I was about to make it to the front it seemed like the woman that took my order was somewhere else as I was giving her my order. I had to repeat my order again because she wasn't paying attention to me. Then once I got my food I did not get a napkin, and they didn't have any out, I seen someone ask and they kind of ignored him. If you are going to serve food especially barbecue you should have either towelettes, or napkins, something for people to wipe the barbecue off of their fingers. Out side of that, the food was good, and the lady taking my order seemed nice. Lots of things could have made my first visit a lot more enjoyable, but maybe next time. read more

Rollin Nolen's BBQ was at my apartment building today for lunch service. Geez, the smells coming out of that truck were heavenly! I had to wait for some friends to arrive before I ordered; that was difficult because I was salivating and chomping at the bit. All the food seemed really fresh and nothing deep fried (French fries, cheese curds, hush puppies) was too oily. I dislike oily fries! These ones were great. I ordered the loaded pulled pork fries and received a whole lotta food! I have leftovers for dinner. The pork was smokey and tender, the sauce and siracha added a nice kick. I only took a star off my review because they did not bring some items that were on their menu (drinks, ribs, potato salad) and I heard other residents complaining about it.
