I kept a close eye until Wednesday morning he was spitting up blood. The clinic 5 mins from me is closed Wednesday so after asking around I landed on wildcat. It was a 40 minute drive for me but with my cats condition we were on the road in minutes. The front staff was very nice and helpful and is always very sweet when talking on the phone. We were seen my Dr. Sharpe and he has done a phenomenal job. My cat has slowly started to feel much better after a few weeks of meds and with that being said he's began to show his true colors at the vet LOL! He's a wild one and WANTS to give Dr Sharpe and his techs hell but they are always finding new ways to work with him instead of making the issue worse and stressing him out more. It's because of that effort that he's been able to apply his knowledge and help us in the correct way. I've continued to make the 40 minute drive multiple times now and have never thought it wasn't worth it. I'm a young/first time pet owner trying to get all this right and he has been amazing about answering all my questions and concerns and never makes you feel bad for having so many questions. I had even called them twice over the past few weeks to ask more questions and was able to talk to the vet directly and he again was still so informative even when I'm not in office. I came here after family recommended it, and i do not recommend it to ANYONE! we drove 40 minutes…read moreto come to this vet, my puppy is showing major signs of hip dysplasia, MAJOR, and all he had to say OVER AND OVER was she doesn't need x-rays because she's a puppy and he's not gonna be able to see if she has hip dysplasia. And I asked him multiple times why he wouldn't be able to see because of x-ray would show that very clearly, as soon as he came in the room, he gave her a hotdog. And then proceeded to recommend a dog food that has had multiple recalls. And has garlic in it, which is toxic to dogs. I had to tell him not to give my dog treats because of the ingredients in them and he recommended to stop giving her the food. I'm giving her which is extremely expensive and has all real ingredients. He then told me multiple times to feed her twice a day like that's going to affect her hip problem.. We stood there for over an hour and he just kept repeating the same thing saying "he's not gonna be able to tell. You have to wait till she's two years old to see how bad her hips are going to be" if she was to get an x-ray there's multiple solutions to hip dysplasia at a young age. The older she gets the worst it's gonna be. Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis, and Double/Triple Pelvic Osteotomy (DPO/TPO) something that could've been recommended if she had gotten an x-ray but this vet has such a little experience to the new medicines it's concerning, do not bring your dog here if you just wanna be disappointed. $30 just sit there and tell me some bullshit and not even check her.
