Instead of a special restaurant dinner for anniversary we thought we would eat a couple ribs. The adage @you get what you pay for" holds up well here. But the bill was exurban and this was before the current high price of meat & everything else. My husband said that I would not want to know what he paid which means over $100. I hope they can hang on until their supplies are more affordable. The cost will I am sure be a disadvantage. What we paid would have been or useful in filling my pantry. That being said, it was one of the most enjoyable meals we've brought home. If we could afford it we would definitely be our go-to place. It's a very casual & rustic ambiance. I opted for the brisket sandwich while hubby craved the smoked turkey sandwich. The sides chosen were the creamed corn and potato salad. Our entire order was packed in one of those hefty dishwashing trays. Very clever. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. We totally savored all the food. The brisket was just as tasty & tender as I remembered and hubby's smoked turkey had his tastebuds singing! Hands down the best creamed corn anywhere and their potato salad was excellent, too. The five minute drive back to my house was nearly impossible because of the smells coming from the passenger side of my car, and when I finally did get home my wife forgot about the welcome home kiss because of the smell of the ribs.
