Very cute homey ambiance. We got the pizza bread, chicken parm and penne amore. I thought the penne amore was a bit sweet for me but loved the pizza bread. All the quality tastes great. Waited about 20 min for a table on a Thursday at 6:30pm.

I recently visited this restaurant and I enjoyed my experience. The food tasted very delicious. Food: I ordered the linguine with baby clams and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the portion size was great. The spinach bread was good too. Service: The service was okay. It took awhile to get seated and to get our food. Ambiance: The decor inside is nice. Since the restaurant is big, there is plenty of seating.

I ordered one of the special dishes, and it was really good 4/5 . However, the shrimp scampi was too watery and bland 3/5 . You could taste the lemon, but overall, it was just okay. The calamari was good 4/5 , but the Parmesan on top ruined the dish. It was too much, and the cheese on top was overpowering. Staffs are very attentive and the place is spacious with indoor and outdoor sitting.

Roma D'Italia in Tustin is such a cozy spot for celebrations We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here, and now I get why they're one of Orange County's longest-standing Italian restaurants. The homey family vibe was everything Our favorites were definitely the veal and pizza bread, but the seafood pasta was also light, flavorful, and so good. The tiramisu was perfectly bittersweet, and it was my first time trying spumoni ice cream... officially obsessed!!!

Really good food with quick service. I ordered the pepperoni rolls, cannelloni, and cannoli and they were all delicious. My favorite was the pepperoni rolls - simple, but made with fresh ingredients and bread and cheese is the ultimate combo. They also provide free bread that's crunchy on the outside and soft inside, along with butter. The one downside is that since it's an older building there is a smell, but you may get use to it after being there for a while, or you can ask to be seated outside.

We have been to Roma D' Italia a few times in our lifetime but not often. Super good Italian Food. Pasta Dishes are perfect and service is very fast and attentive. We went today on a wim and glad we did. My wife had the Lasanga, and I ordered the Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Alfredo. Super Good and Their Ranch is perfect. We had the Teramasu-Delicious. Great atmosphere, and the economics work ! We have so much food left over for our son to enjoy as he is home from UCI. Can't go wrong, call ahead to get seated faster. Enjoy!!

The half sandwich and soup is a whole lot of food. This is meatballs.

We had a great experience overall. Just reminds you of a great cozy Italian restaurant. Smells delicious the minute you walk in. We had really nice service when we went for a lunch. They have special items for the lunch menu. Patio's pretty nice if you want to sit outside.

Roma D'Italia is our favorite lunch spot when we're craving pasta, just like mama used to make! The ambiance is what we remember from our childhoods - red and white checkered tablecloths, Frankie and Dean crooning in the background (iykyk), and not too brightly lit. The service is friendly and familiar, the same people who have greeted us for years take good care of everyone. Now the food - expect hot fresh rolls from the oven, a little butter, a little parm, and Mama Mia! My go to dish is cheese ravioli with meat sauce - the best of both worlds. My companions love the Pepperoni Bread, House Salad, and a side of meatballs. If you're really hungry, try the lasagna or gnocchi. Buon appetito!

Luckily we called in advance so we didn't need to wait during a busy weekend night. We tried this place last time and just had to come again! We tried their pepperoni bread last time which was delicious, and this time we ordered the sausage bread. Both were greatly paired with their side of meat sauce. I prefer the pepperoni, but both is a must try! It's huge menu with a bunch of variety. They have signature pastas, pizza, baked pasta, sandwiches, and all open to customizations. I swapped some of their spaghetti dishes for linguine and they were happy to do so. Their veal was also very delicious, not dry at all compared to other places who make them.

This might be one of the best Italian spots in OC! Came here for a date night with my boyfriend and we got seated right away, which is always a win. We had the pepperoni pizza bread, pizza, and spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza bread is the perfect way to kick things off, and the pasta tastes like it came straight from a family cookbook. Everything hit just right, and I'm definitely telling all my friends about this place. Can't wait to come back and try even more!

Roma D Italia is a great Italian restaurant in the heart of Tustin. They have a large menu with authentic home cooked Italian favorites. Their pepperoni bread, antipasto salads and pasta entrees are delicious and served in large portions. This is a great place for date nights and celebrations. Highly recommend - and save room for dessert!

Ask the Community - Roma D' Italia

    Is there a dessert cover?

Yes! Customers are always very understanding and willing to pay the fee for any sort of outside desserts or treats.

Is there a private dining area for small groups and parties?

    Yes

    Do they take reservations?

No, but you can call ahead and let them know you are coming if you have a large party. Usually not much of a wait

Are there any gluten free options?

    Do they take reservations?

We call before we go and they add our name to their list.

Are they open for lunch on Saturday's? The hours of operation lead me to think that they are, but then the page says that lunch is only served Mon-Fri until 3pm. Does that mean no lunch on Saturday? Why are they open then?

Yes they are open for lunch on weekends. They are open at 11am - 9:30pm on Saturdays and you can order anything from the dinner menu. (No lunch combos and dinner prices)

    Do you serve cocktails?

Yes, they do. They have a full bar

Is there room for a stroller to be by a table of 2?

On their outdoor patio. The tables inside are packed pretty tight. I'd go in less busy timeframes. There are better Italian options honestly...

    Do you have wine?

Yes, they have wine. Red, white, Italian, Californian, etc. They also have a full bar.

Are pets allowed on the patio?

No, only service animals are welcome

    Do they take reservations?

No I don't think so. Sometimes before a holiday like Valentines Day or Easter, they put out an informal waiting list the week before

Does this restaurant require Covid vaccine?

No! Just proper PPE and a good vibe.

How is outdoor dining here? Are there heaters?

Yes! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great atmosphere and vibe. I believe there was some heating system but it's very nice and they are accommodating. Ciao

    Can you eat inside?

Yes, they have indoor and outdoor dining.

Any delivery tie-ups with Grubhub, Doordash or Uber Eats?

No we don't have any delivery.

Do they serve items from the dinner menu during lunch time?

I have ordered dinner items during their lunch hours before, but it has been a while since that time. I would call and ask to be sure.

I'm looking for a place to accommodate a group of 24 adults celebrating birthdays for this Friday June 21st. Do you have a private room or....? Can we bring our own wine? thank you kindly.

It's actually pretty standard for restaurants to charge a corkage fee and a desert cover. Corkage is only $15 per bottle and desert cover is only $1.50 per person. Completely in the realm of reasonable IMHO.

    Whats the corkage fee?

    $15 per bottle.

Is this a good place for my kids who are allergic to egg? Do the ingredients have egg : the pasta noodle, pasta sauce, meatball.etc..?

Unfortunately a lot of the dishes do include egg, but you can find egg free options throughout the menu. The grilled chicken or salmon with vegetable is totally egg free, as are most of the salads. The pasta does have egg in it, but there are many…

They place the pre-made pizza slices back into the oven so that when it comes out, it's fresh, hot, and ready to eat. The food quality was pretty average, definitely nothing special to note compared to the many pizza joints all around OC. I did not find it particularly appealing but the slices were big in size. The place has a lot of seating and the ambiance was definitely very casual. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking to grab a quick bite during lunch where you can take advantage of their lunch deal.

It's often hard for people to agree on whether one is good, bad, or great. I had several guests come over so I ordered large pepperoni pizza with green bell peppers and onions. We all agreed - It was great, lots of toppings and the right amount of cheese and sauce. Crust was perfect texture. It was ready when promised so I quickly drove it home to a hungry group. There are many pizza places much closer to me, but I had to try this one. I am taking a class at Orange Coast College and one to the cooler classmates (Simeon) told us how great their pizzas are at his location in South Irvine. But I went to the one at Jamboree and Irvine Blvd. It was great there, too. It's in a shopping center with lots of parking and a short walk to Ralph's to pick up some beer and sodas. We were in the Costa Mesa are before we were going to head out back north and my crew wanted to have this deep dish pizza again. What we liked was the crust was so good. It wasn't overly cornmealish like some of these "authentic" Chicago pizza places. I grew up out here in the west, so I'm used to a more flaky light crust. My first Deep Dish Chicago pizza was Zachary's in Berkeley in the Bay Area. This Costa Mesa location is located just south of the 405 at Harbor Blvd. Go to Baker Street and turn left and it's right there. Easy Parking. One thing you gotta know about the deep dish pizzas, they take longer to cook cause they're just so big and need more cooking time, like maybe 35-40 minutes, depending on how busy the kitchen is. We get a classic combo pizza and have some drinks while we wait. It arrives and oh boy does that look good. Dishing it out takes a little practice, but we're good at that now! I love a good thin crust, and the fresh ingredients really won me over. The price is also very reasonable. A large pizza is under $30, which I think is a great deal--honestly, I'd even say it's on the cheaper side these days. They don't have different pizza sizes. You can either order by the slice or get a whole pizza. One thing I really liked is that you can split a whole pizza in half and choose two different flavors. That's definitely a big plus, especially when you're ordering for a group. The pizza itself is surprisingly light and clean-tasting. Even though you're eating pizza, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all, and I didn't feel weighed down afterward. Now, one small downside: you have to pay for water, and even hot sauce or ranch costs extra. Since the pizza itself is reasonably priced, I'm not really complaining, but... if I have to pay extra for every little thing, I can't exactly say I'm thrilled about it. I did really enjoy their habanero hot sauce, though! It had a slightly unique flavor that I really liked. After eating with my friends, I seriously debated whether I should buy a whole pizza to take home for the kids. I loved how thin and light the pizza was, but for my personal taste, it was a little... ordinary. It wasn't quite a "WOW, I have to have this again!" kind of pizza for me. So I decided to pass this time and thought, "Maybe next time if I'm in the area." Would I come back? Yes! If I get the chance, I definitely would.
