Wonderful Italian restaurant with incredible food and vibes. The parking lot nearby the restaurant is valet only, but in the overall plaza there is plenty of free parking. The food is fantastic, both the pizza and pasta were cooked to perfection and very delicious. They have a large indoor dining area as well as a large bar are outdoor patio area for watching sports. It gets quite busy so best to book a reservation ahead of time. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Finally had dinner at North Italia after driving by it for years. We came for dinner on a weekend with reservations. If you're familiar with this shopping center then you already know parking is horrible so we chose to valet. The sign says cash only but they take credit cards. The menu has a lot to offer and I was happy to see they have mocktails. For apps we got the house made focaccia and calamari. The calamari had a unique breading that I didn't care for but the rest of my group loved it. Next time I'll go straight for the focaccia. The bread was fresh from the oven and the whipped ricotta was incredible! Because I'm a sucker for pasta I got the bolognese, which was tasty but very rich. Overall it was good food and attentive service even on a busy evening. It makes for a nice date night spot.

I've been wanting to try this place for years but it was always booked the day of, but I was able to snag a reservation for Father's Day dinner. Take time for parking unless you want to pay for valet. I thought this place would be bigger considering it looks big from the outside, but the interior looked beautiful. White Truffle Garlic Bread (5/5): This is a must get to share with your party. The garlic is empowering and the truffle is so packed with flavor. The breast was fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Calamari (5/5): Very big pieces and comes with marinara and spicy mayo sauce. Definitely solid. Yellow tail Crudo (4/5): this raw fish looked a bit disorganized but it was still good. The flavor wasn't as strong, but it satisfied my sushi cravings. Funghi Pizza (5/5); This pizza blew me away. The mushroom flavor was potent and the crust was so fluffy. One of the best pizzas I've had. Cacio e Pepe (5/5): Super cheesy and the pepper flavor was strong. I enjoyed how fluffy the crust was. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka (5/5): Not too flavorful but it was good. Flavor was still impeccable Bolognese (2/5): For a special dish, this actually terrible. The pasta was undercooked as it was still hard eating it. This was one of the dishes that I would ask for a refund for Squid ink tonnarelli (5/5); This was amazing and the best pasta dish of the night. The pasta was cooked perfectly was it was both bouncy and chewy. The squid and shrimp were great with the sauce. This place is good, but pricey and small portion. I'd probably only come here for a special occasion

North Italia is one of my favorite chains. Everything on their menu is delicious and I always want to order 2-3 of everything. My favorites: - Zucca Chips - White Truffle Garlic Bread - Calamari Fritti - Bolognese - Squid Ink Tonnarelli I'm always too full to get dessert but I'm pretty sure I would love them too.

So I was excited to come here because I saw they had a lunch special deal. However, they failed to tell you that it expired on May 31 very disappointed. The restaurant also says it opens at 11 AM. We got there at 11:07, and they were still not ready for all the guests. We ended up waiting outside for another 5 to 10 minutes before we were even seated. Service was decent. However our Stromboli came out before our steak salad. Thought that was very odd, since a salad is pretty much just the raw vegetables. My friend did ask for her steak well done, however, it came out tough as can be, and it was also burnt. But since that came out last, we didn't want to send it back. The vegetables itself was fresh and crispy though. Stromboli was good. I also said we were celebrating my friend's birthday. They didn't offer us anything free for her birthday, and they didn't even mention it. I don't know why the reservation asks if we are celebrating anything, if it doesn't matter. Overall it's ok.

Service and ambience are amazing Food is scrumptious especially the grilled bread with great aromatic of cheese and olive oil, great combination The squid ink is very intense but delicious. The steak was grilled to perfection and tender Dishes are on a smaller portion but enough to share Definitely will go back

The Irvine North Italia is by far the best location!!!! It's just a classic. I will never get over the White Truffle Bread Appetizer, it is seriously delicious & is served hot & perfect in a skillet. The Yellowtail crisp is a delicious appetizer option too!!!! So many flavors are put on one plate & rly compliment one another. They put lime, pistachios, & pineapple with the fish & it's soooo yum. OFCCCC U HAVE TO GET THE SPICY RIGATONI VIDKA PASTA. Like it's just that freaking good make sure at least one person in your party orders it. I always replace the sausage with meatballs though. For dessert we grabbed some dirty almond chai coffees that were soooo good & give u a nice kick of caffeine. We also got the banana caramel butter cake that was too insane. So warm with crispy edges & paired with a vanilla bean ice cream.

Excellent Italian spot from an established chain. Food and service are excellent. Definitely try to get reservations on peak hours. It's valet parking in the front, and it can be difficult to get parking nearby (but plenty of parking in the parking structure behind the gym). Food- 5 stars wild shrimp scampi- standard but delicious squid ink tonnarelli- perfectly cooked and bright. I would recommend sharing the pasta dishes, especially with contrasting heavy and bright dishes. the squid ink and braised short rib were excellent going back and forth between them braised short rib marsala- buttery, fatty, goodness. salted caramel budino- I couldn't get enough of the dessert. Well balanced and delicious Service- 5 stars Food came out quickly and the servers and bartenders were really attentive. Bottom Line Excellent Italian restaurant from an established chain. Great food and service and always consistent

I wrote a review over 7 years ago, so it is probably time to write another one! Luckily, this location is still as wonderful as it was, back then. Shoutout to the spicy eggplant appetizer, which is now my favorite!???!! The customer service was INCREDIBLE last night (but it always is)- thank you to MELANIE, who went above and beyond (and my toddler son was obsessed with her and kept wondering where she went) The ambiance was hustle and bustle, which is crazy, because we went on a Wednesday night. Thank heavens for the car valet team: I was so appreciative of Ivan, Will, and Kevin- they were all personable and respective. Ivan's my new favorite. Definitely trust them with your car and tip them WELL!

Great spot for quality Italian food. We came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The food and ambiance were amazing. Service was also very friendly. We ordered the white truffle garlic bread, which was so flavorful and paired well with the ricotta. For pizza, we got the Margherita and Hot Nashville Chicken. All were really good. The crust was thin and crispy. All the pastas were also amazing. We ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Trottole Chicken Pesto, and Fettuccine Alfredo. The sauces were creamy, and the pasta tasted fresh and high quality. The only downside was that it was definitely on the pricier side, and the portions weren't very large, especially since we were dining with a bigger group. But for an upscale experience, it's a great spot.

Ate here for brunch since I was in the city Irvine. The area is nice and simple. No reservations, just walked right in for a party of 7. We had a child with us so they placed us in an area where there were plenty of kids. We ordered Wine, cocktails and appetizers as well as main entrees of salad and meat. Our food was delivered quickly. Drinks and food was delicous. No complaints. This place has plenty of parking. It was a nice clean restaurant. Not to plain but just right with the decor. This place had good vibes. The service was great. Had a great experience. Clean restaurant, good food and good service. Its hard to say something negative.

Northern Italian food I guess you can say. Neopolitan pizzzas, lasagnas, squid ink to weekly, truffle breads, salads, bambolinni donut dessert, and a whole lot more! I ordered The Pig neopolitan pizza a ceasar salad. Twas good! Also ordered the bambollini pizza for desert. That was yummy! Service was good and speed in a busy night wasn't bad. Cleanliness was good. The place was rockin! TVs playing sports. Basketball at the time. Can't hear it of course as this place is pretty packed so noise level is a bit loud. Overall, this is a comeback kid!

The entire thing was big enough for two normal or maybe even three light eaters. The steak was excellent with a sweet coffee rub with a slightly sweet mapley taste. I could only finish about half and save the rest for the next day. Even though I was full, I decided to try the fried apple pie because it was recommended by many other reviewers. It was actually amazing. It was the dish that was highly recommended by the server and she was not wrong. The ice cream on top was probably House made and the pie itself was like a gourmet version of a hostess apple pie but of course with much higher quality ingredients and it was delicious. The vibe of the restaurant is exciting. It is a fun place to visit with the visual aspects such as the bird cages in the window case. Oak barrels used for aging whiskey are set around and the general vibe was very attractive. Everyone was having a great time and making quite a lot of noise from all the conversation and the music, but people were really enjoying themselves. If you want to have a quiet conversation with someone, this is probably not your place, but if you want a fun time with that kind of vibe, it is an excellent place. I recommend Bosscat highly.

Our server was also the bartender, Javier, who was really on top of everything and even indulged in a little movie chat with us. We were never forgotten being the only ones sitting outside. The food was really great and was served in a timely manner. I got the Fork and Knife burger. Let me tell you, wow! It was spectacular! They have a nice variety of dishes to eat as well as drinks! I would definitely recommend this place!

Upon arrival, the main indoor…read moredining area was relatively empty, though the patio was completely packed--clearly, it's the popular spot. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and I can easily see it being a great date spot in the evening. Because our group was so large, I couldn't sample or photograph every dish, but here is my breakdown of the items ordered near my end of the table: 01. Arugula Salad (half) $8.00 - 3 Stars - Light and exceptionally simple, topped with red onions and parmesan cheese. Frankly, it was a bit too simple, the dressing was entirely unmemorable. 02. Prime Rib Dip $25.50 - 3 Stars - This arrived looking very promising. The fries were perfectly crisp, and the creamy horseradish packed a powerful punch (it will definitely clear out your sinuses). Unfortunately, the thinly sliced meat was slightly overcooked, dry, and a bit chewy. While the au jus was flavorful, I've definitely had better prime rib dips elsewhere. 03. Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich $20.50 - 2 Stars - This was the biggest disappointment of the lunch. It looked great initially, but hiding a layer of mashed potatoes underneath the chicken was a strange choice that made the bottom bun instantly soggy. The chicken itself lacked crunch, likely because it was completely doused in what tasted like standard Frank's RedHot sauce (tangy and vinegar-forward, but not actually spicy). No wonder there are barely any photos of this online; I wouldn't order it again. 04. Lobster Roll $32.00 - 3 Stars - Beautifully presented with large chunks of lobster and a side of sweet potato fries. However, at this price point, it felt overpriced for the portion size. The flavor was a bit bland and lacked a "wow" factor. While I appreciated the use of butter lettuce to keep the roll from getting soggy, the lobster meat didn't actually fill out the bread end-to-end. On the bright side, the butter sauce was quite good. 05. Creme Brulee $12 - 3 Stars - A very standard crème brûlée with a decent portion size. It was served completely chilled, which threw off a few of my colleagues. While it's traditionally served chilled, some places serve it closer to room temperature, so this really just comes down to personal preference. 06. Fresh Seasonal Cobbler $12.00 - 3 Stars - As a massive fan of cobblers, I was underwhelmed. The berries were cooked down so much that they lost their form entirely, taking on a jam-like consistency. The crust layer was incredibly thin and soggy, making the whole dessert feel mushy. Luckily, the vanilla ice cream helped cut through the intense sweetness, but overall it was just okay. LOCATION/PARKING - The restaurant sits right on the corner and shares a parking structure with Monaco, The Trough, and Izakaya Osen. Valet parking is available, and the restaurant validates for 90 minutes. CUSTOMER SERVICE - The service seems to depend heavily on who you get. While the staff was generally friendly, they weren't particularly attentive, and we constantly had to ask for refills. To be fair, assigning just one server to a party of 14 is a tough ask, this venue is likely better suited for smaller groups. VERDICT - Overall, the menu feels a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. If my team decides to host another lunch here, I wouldn't object to returning.

Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening.
