    Gamberi e Prosciutto
    Norma M.

We stopped by Storico for a light dinner after dropping off donations at the nearby library. Having loved our previous visits, I was really looking forward to ordering my favorite dish, the Gamberi e Prosciutto pasta. Sadly, it didn't quite hit the spot like it used to. The flavors felt a bit muted compared to the incredible, authentic version they served when they first opened (I even cross-checked with my old food photos!). Fingers crossed they revert to their original recipe and prosciutto brand soon. That said, service remains a bright spot--Nicole was warm and friendly, and we were seated quickly.

This place is cute, vibey, and in old town tustin! Def hard to find parking but it is doable. Very busy on a friday evening but there was indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was very friendly, and all the pasta is supposedly made fresh in house daily. We got the bruschetta as an appetizer and each got our own pastas. Def do not get the half size, just get the full! Some pastas come with protein but mine didnt so i added chicken for $9!!! My pesto pasta was $22 for the full size so its very pricey, especially for not including any protein. The bruschetta was very good, and I dont even like tomatoes usually! I liked it a lot though! The pastas were a miss though imo. I liked the texture of my pasta noodles but the flavor was meh. I thought it was underseasoned. The chicken on it was very good though and I liked the charred flavor. I tasted the carbonara and between the 4 pastas the consistency was not there. The carbonara was sooooo raw LOL. Like very raw, i wouldnt call it al dente. Same with the farfalle - super raw. My pasta and the other red sauce pastas were fully cooked though. Its a cute spot but i just don't think the pastas are that impressive. Especially for the price.

Not sure why it took me so long to try this cute restaurant in Old Town Tustin when I live just minutes away! We started with Prosecco served in chilled glasses (such a nice touch ), then shared the calamari, burrata salad, and Gamberi e Prosciutto pasta before finishing with gelato. Everything was delicious, but the pasta was the highlight of the meal. Made with fresh shrimp, shallots, white wine, prosciutto, tomato paste, and a light cream sauce, it was packed with flavor while still feeling light and balanced. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

A great little local spot in the old town Tustin area. If you love Italian food you must drop in for dinner. My wife had been wanting to try this place for sometime and we finally went on a Friday night, it is small so make a reservation. Between us we ordered 3 plates of pasta. You can get a full size and half size. We got two full size and a half size so we could share a little bit of everything. My advice order the full size because who doesn't love left over pasta. In order by our favorite dish... Carbonara - rich and creamy, one of the best I have had (my wife didn't like it as much as me) Ragu fettuccine - my wife loved this plate Gambrei pappardelle - this was so so but the shrimp was good We also ordered the house bread which was worth it. There are so many different pasta dishes that we plan to comeback

Came back to Storico to try other dishes and it did not disappoint. The Paccherri alllaPanna was fresh, savory and delicious plus the pasta was perfectly al dente. The calamari fritti were crispy and crunchy (love the vodka sauce that came with it). The tiramisu was the perfect dessert to end this wonderful Italian meal. Nicol was our server and she was super friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy, intimate and festive.

I ordered a full bowl of the Salsiccia pasta. Plenty of free parking behind l. The pasta was really well done. Perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce with the sausage bringing a nice savory depth to the whole dish. It felt hearty without being too heavy, and every bite was consistent. The place has a clean, modern feel but still feels comfortable enough to sit and enjoy your meal. Staff was friendly and service was quick and smooth from start to finish. Simple order, but everything was done right. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a solid pasta.

The food here is made with love. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Food was hot and delicious. Been a long time since I had really good authentic Italian.

The vodka penne is amazing and truly always a win here! It's rich, flavorful, and one of those dishes I'd order again without even thinking twice! We also finally tried the fried calamari because every time we come to this chain I see people ordering it, and now I totally get why. It was super fresh, perfectly crispy, and really delicious. Everything we've had here has been consistently great, which is why I keep coming back! Definitely one of those places where you know you're going to eat well every time!

I came to Storico for an early Mother's day lunch. It was around 12:30 on Saturday. I called the day before to ask if I could get a reservation but the nice gentleman on the phone said they don't do reservations for that time but I should be good to get seated right away with 7 people. He assured me I shouldn't have any issues. I will assume he forgot it was Mother's day weekend lol. When we arrived the hostess told us all of the big tables were full and it would be a 30 minute wait. She also said the kitchen closes down at 1:45 so.... In other words my chances of dining in were slim to none? Or we would not be able to order any food once we are seated?? I really am not sure where she was going with that. My daughter stepped in and asked if there were tables available outside. She said there was but it was probably too small for us, we asked to go see and thought the table was actually perfect for us. So we asked to be seated there. We had plenty of elbow room and the table fit our food perfectly so I am not sure why she thought it was too small. Overall we did not feel like she was taking much initiative to be accomadating on a holiday weekend. The food was so authentic and amazing that I didn't even care. My pesto was so fresh and flavorful, the pasta was cooked perfectly. Everyone in my family ordered something different and everyone loved their dish! Service was friendly but not very attentive. They add a 20% gratuity for parties 6 and up. The restaurant inside and outside is super duper cute and charming. I would definitely come back again as the food was just so good, I would hope to have a better experience with service next time though. I am always very aware and forgiving when going out Mother's day weekend.

Full marks for ambience and service. I love that you can enjoy a meal, have a coffee afterward, or even go wine-tasting--all on one property! However, I continue to be a little underwhelmed by American-Italian cuisine. While the food looked appetizing, the flavors were a bit too heavy for my taste. The two standouts I truly enjoyed were the loaded bruschetta and the delicious affogato!

Pane Della casa ( housemade focaccia with olive oil & balsamic vinegar )
    Amy B.

The incredible quality and authenticity of the Italian food here at Storico Spaghetteria, together with the relative affordability of such foods, makes this restaurant my top pick for everyday Italian fare outings. The pane della casa ( homemade focaccia with olive oil & balsamic vinegar ) was extremely delicious, perfectly salted, and the olive oil with balsamic vinegar tasted outstanding. There were four pieces of focaccia that came for just $3 and I had to take a piece home because it was a lot! The pesto pasta in the half size was $17, and even this was so much that I had to take some home. However, the quality of the pesto and the fusilli pasta noodles were second to none here in OC, and I am now so happy to have found a real Italian restaurant that serves real Italian food for reasonable prices - I worried about having to choose between unhealthy Alfredo and cheese wheel cheaper pastas versus expensive full-scale dining experiences, neither which made sense to me, until I found Storico Spaghetteria, the answer to my Italian food needs. The staff at the Spaghetteria are super dedicated, professional, attentive, and courteous, and I love the kind of upscale yet friendly Old Town Tustin atmosphere here. This actually differs sharply from my experience at the Storico Cafe next door, which is for my next review. I love Storico Spaghetteria and I know my mom will love this place too!!

    Sara L.

Storico offers some of the best pasta dishes around, and I can confidently say every dish I've tried has been delicious. The freshly made pasta adds an extra level of flavor and texture that really elevates each dish. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and welcoming. Their drinks are also fantastic and pair perfectly with the meal. A great spot for a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

Storico continues to impress! Great vibe, great staff, and great food. Our three pastas tonight were packed with flavor, high quality ingredients, and so delicious! The pesto was flavorful but not overwhelming, the ragú was so rich and the pappardelle were firm enough to scoop it up, and the risotto was creamy even without cream. The salad was also a great, light appetizer. I will definitely be back!

The tomatoes were hearty and cut a perfect thickness. Could have used more balsamic for me, but my husband liked it fine. Chef special: Swordfish picatta with mashed potatoes, vegetables & tiny salad - 4/5 This was good. The picatta sauce was delicious and the fish cooked perfectly. I would have liked a mix of different vegetables. Lasagna - 5/5 - this was my favorite. It was cheesy, served very hot, the noodles were not mushy. Just deliciousness on a plate. The service at the bar was outstanding. Our server was attentive and offered us as much bread as we wanted. He went over the menu and offered suggestions. We only drank water and the cup was always full. He was great! Seating - there was plenty of seating, so was not sure why we were only offered a choice of 2 tables both basically on top of the party next to you. I feel they can do better in that department. There was seating outside, which was also offered, but it was way too hot and humid that day to dine al fresco. We ending up sitting at the bar. Forced tipping: They add a "kitchen appreciation" fee to your bill, which I did not care for. I feel this is tacky, but if they are doing this, it should be posted somewhere that they are, feels sneaky otherwise. The food was very good & I will likely be back to try other dishes.

My husband and I came across the restaurant on a Saturday at 430pm. We had our baby stroller and have been mindful on avoiding dinner rushes while going to restaurants, just in case. The Host asked us if we were a party of "3 and a half" which we laughed and said yes. We waited outside where there is patio seating and only a couple of tables taken. Inside, there were people at the bar and maybe one table occupied. The rest were open. I could see through the windows that the staff made a big deal about the stroller, they were walking around making hand motions as to where the stroller would "fit" mind you we've been to plenty of restaurants where this has NEVER been an issue. They came out to speak to us twice stating they were looking for a spot. I told my husband we should just eat elsewhere but he insisted on waiting. We did not want to sit outside due to it being hot. The host finally returned and said that they have reservations and can seat us at a table but we have an hour limit due to the reservation. My husband obliged b/c he was hungry, and I was annoyed. We got seated in the back which is fine by the big display of wine and our stroller replaced a chair. Which idk why that wasn't suggested or thought of in the first place. Our server was very nice but the other staff just kept side eyeing us. Dinner was rushed, it was tasty yet over priced. Our baby slept the entire time, No fuss thankfully. What were they to do if they had someone in a wheel chair and couldn't accommodate space? I know the comparison is far fetched compared to a stroller however it was the first time I ever encountered this. Since someone else made a comment about them not being seated due to a stroller, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you have small children as it seems it's not welcomed. Again, we were mindful and have been going to dinner before 5pm.

12/03/2023 *DOOR DASH DELIVERY*…read more Dinner with the cousins tonight and hubby wanted Italian food. The place he wanted to order from didn't open until 4:00 pm so we decided to try this place. I think I have eaten here with a friend/old coworker when we moved to the area. Not sure if we have eaten here as a family many moons ago. If we did, I did not leave a review. We ordered the Pasta Special family meal, which is supposed to feed 5+ people: One large lasagna (beef or spinach) One large spaghetti, your choice of marinara or beef sauce One large house salad Half a loaf of garlic bread (split in half) * if you want all lasagna, it's $2.00 additional We also ordered mozzarella sticks (6 in an order plus marinara sauce), three orders of homemade meatballs (2 meatballs per order), apparently I ordered an extra loaf of garlic bread‍, shrimp, and clams in white sauce, and chicken cacciatore (chicken, mushrooms, green peppers, and a red wine sauce). We didn't care for the chicken cacciatore. It was like pasta in red sauce with some veggies. The meatballs were moist and their marinara sauce was good. The mozzarella sticks were your basic frozen that they fried up. The garlic bread loaf was ginormous and tasted okay. The house salad was basic iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots and cheese with a few slices of salami, with ranch dressing. Little O and I really enjoyed the clams and shrimp in white sauce. We ate most of the noodles the first day. Since there was a lot of sauce left over we saved it and made our own pasta to add to it the next day. It was still very tasty. It was a lot of food but the taste was just okay for us. We probably won't need to come back again.

We had picked up two calzones to go and while the service was nice, the food was pretty bland. The…read moretomato sauce was very ecidic and the crust very dense. Prices were fair and the food made to order on time. Not bad but also not rushing back for.
