A great little local spot in the old town Tustin area. If you love Italian food you must drop in for dinner. My wife had been wanting to try this place for sometime and we finally went on a Friday night, it is small so make a reservation. Between us we ordered 3 plates of pasta. You can get a full size and half size. We got two full size and a half size so we could share a little bit of everything. My advice order the full size because who doesn't love left over pasta. In order by our favorite dish... Carbonara - rich and creamy, one of the best I have had (my wife didn't like it as much as me) Ragu fettuccine - my wife loved this plate Gambrei pappardelle - this was so so but the shrimp was good We also ordered the house bread which was worth it. There are so many different pasta dishes that we plan to comeback

We went on a weekday for lunch and it was nice and not too crowded. The three of us ordered a salad to share and each of our own pasta. All the dishes were so delicious and enjoyable. Nice vibe and interior decor. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered a full bowl of the Salsiccia pasta. Plenty of free parking behind l. The pasta was really well done. Perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce with the sausage bringing a nice savory depth to the whole dish. It felt hearty without being too heavy, and every bite was consistent. The place has a clean, modern feel but still feels comfortable enough to sit and enjoy your meal. Staff was friendly and service was quick and smooth from start to finish. Simple order, but everything was done right. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a solid pasta.

The vodka penne is amazing and truly always a win here! It's rich, flavorful, and one of those dishes I'd order again without even thinking twice! We also finally tried the fried calamari because every time we come to this chain I see people ordering it, and now I totally get why. It was super fresh, perfectly crispy, and really delicious. Everything we've had here has been consistently great, which is why I keep coming back! Definitely one of those places where you know you're going to eat well every time!

I came to Storico for an early Mother's day lunch. It was around 12:30 on Saturday. I called the day before to ask if I could get a reservation but the nice gentleman on the phone said they don't do reservations for that time but I should be good to get seated right away with 7 people. He assured me I shouldn't have any issues. I will assume he forgot it was Mother's day weekend lol. When we arrived the hostess told us all of the big tables were full and it would be a 30 minute wait. She also said the kitchen closes down at 1:45 so.... In other words my chances of dining in were slim to none? Or we would not be able to order any food once we are seated?? I really am not sure where she was going with that. My daughter stepped in and asked if there were tables available outside. She said there was but it was probably too small for us, we asked to go see and thought the table was actually perfect for us. So we asked to be seated there. We had plenty of elbow room and the table fit our food perfectly so I am not sure why she thought it was too small. Overall we did not feel like she was taking much initiative to be accomadating on a holiday weekend. The food was so authentic and amazing that I didn't even care. My pesto was so fresh and flavorful, the pasta was cooked perfectly. Everyone in my family ordered something different and everyone loved their dish! Service was friendly but not very attentive. They add a 20% gratuity for parties 6 and up. The restaurant inside and outside is super duper cute and charming. I would definitely come back again as the food was just so good, I would hope to have a better experience with service next time though. I am always very aware and forgiving when going out Mother's day weekend.

Storico offers some of the best pasta dishes around, and I can confidently say every dish I've tried has been delicious. The freshly made pasta adds an extra level of flavor and texture that really elevates each dish. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and welcoming. Their drinks are also fantastic and pair perfectly with the meal. A great spot for a consistently enjoyable dining experience.

Storico Spaghetteria is a quaint Italian cafe in Old Towne Tustin (which is unfortunately located adjacent to street construction along El Camino Real). The restaurant is cute and great for a more casual dining experience, perfect for a family gatherings. I found Arancini a bit dry and bland, which was disappointing as Arancini is typically one of my favorite Italian appetizers. The Cacio E Pepe was fine, the highlight of the meal was the Tiramisu.

Full marks for ambience and service. I love that you can enjoy a meal, have a coffee afterward, or even go wine-tasting--all on one property! However, I continue to be a little underwhelmed by American-Italian cuisine. While the food looked appetizing, the flavors were a bit too heavy for my taste. The two standouts I truly enjoyed were the loaded bruschetta and the delicious affogato!

Pane Della casa ( housemade focaccia with olive oil & balsamic vinegar )

The incredible quality and authenticity of the Italian food here at Storico Spaghetteria, together with the relative affordability of such foods, makes this restaurant my top pick for everyday Italian fare outings. The pane della casa ( homemade focaccia with olive oil & balsamic vinegar ) was extremely delicious, perfectly salted, and the olive oil with balsamic vinegar tasted outstanding. There were four pieces of focaccia that came for just $3 and I had to take a piece home because it was a lot! The pesto pasta in the half size was $17, and even this was so much that I had to take some home. However, the quality of the pesto and the fusilli pasta noodles were second to none here in OC, and I am now so happy to have found a real Italian restaurant that serves real Italian food for reasonable prices - I worried about having to choose between unhealthy Alfredo and cheese wheel cheaper pastas versus expensive full-scale dining experiences, neither which made sense to me, until I found Storico Spaghetteria, the answer to my Italian food needs. The staff at the Spaghetteria are super dedicated, professional, attentive, and courteous, and I love the kind of upscale yet friendly Old Town Tustin atmosphere here. This actually differs sharply from my experience at the Storico Cafe next door, which is for my next review. I love Storico Spaghetteria and I know my mom will love this place too!!

Storico continues to impress! Great vibe, great staff, and great food. Our three pastas tonight were packed with flavor, high quality ingredients, and so delicious! The pesto was flavorful but not overwhelming, the ragú was so rich and the pappardelle were firm enough to scoop it up, and the risotto was creamy even without cream. The salad was also a great, light appetizer. I will definitely be back!

Came here with my boyfriend on a lunch date and honestly, it was such a great experience. I have a dairy allergy, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive when it came to modifying my order. I got the arrabiata with no cheese and added mushrooms because I love them, and it was absolutely impeccable. So much flavor, perfectly balanced heat, and honestly didn't need cheese at all. The quality of the pasta and sauce really stood on its own. The interior was really charming too, which made the whole experience even better. It's always a relief finding a place that takes allergies seriously and still delivers amazing food. I'll definitely be coming back.

Service was on point tonight! Completed dishes never sat long and we were checked on constantly. The pasta was al dente and flavorful. The caprese salad was fresh and enjoyable. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating and is open and inviting. They have a few tables for larger groups.

Storico was decent overall. We ordered quite a bit, and the pasta was very good definitely the highlight of the meal. The food itself was flavorful and well prepared. The service, however, was just okay. There was some miscommunication, as I wasn't informed that changing the pasta would come with an extra charge, and I also wasn't told that the bread they offered would be an additional cost. The servers were present to clear plates and remove food, but there wasn't much check-in beyond that. I completely understand that working in the food industry can be overwhelming, but attentive service really makes a big difference in the overall experience. The restaurant itself is very nice inside, but if you're dining as a party of two and plan on ordering multiple dishes, I'd recommend asking for a booth or a larger table. While the staff did help clear plates between courses, it sometimes felt rushed almost like we needed to finish one dish quickly just to make room for the next. We honestly ran out of table space with everything we ordered. Overall, excellent pasta and a beautiful space, with room for improvement in service and communication.

I expected it to be crowded as usual and that parking would be insane. Fortunately, and surprisingly, there was plenty of parking. As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a hostess. When I observed the dining area of the restaurant, it was approximately thirty percent full. The bar contained about the same amount of occupants. We waited two minutes and the hostess took us to our table. Once we were seated, our server immediately came to our table to greet us and take our beverage order. When she came back with our waters, we both ordered the parmesean chicken sandwich. Our orders arrived and I realized I made a huge mistake as I didn't read what was included in the sandwich. I don't eat pork and prosciutto is included. I apologized to our server and told her about my error. She said it would not be an issue at all to make me a new sandwich without the prosciutto. Once my sandwich arrived, I dove in, and it was good! I wish the chicken was a little meatier and juicy, though. I also didn't really taste too much of the mozzarella and provolone. I love that melted cheese you get with the bite, but it sort of was lacking. The sauces were prevalent and tasty. It wasn't the best I've had, but still good, nonetheless. I had a side of salad and it was just a regular mixed green salad. The service was fantastic! Our server was extremely attentive and friendly. We ordered the lamb chops, the special cheese block pasta, calamari, etc. Honestly, everything was so good there wasn't anything I wouldn't recommend. I would suggest adding a protein to the famous cheese block though. We also ordered one of every dessert and were very happy with everything. The food came out timely, the room was cozy and great photo op opportunity, and the servers were so attendant. Overall, would come back again for an event.

Still such a great hidden gem of a place. Very old school vibe, just good, honest, traditional…read moreItalian food at a reasonable price. Went again for a sit-down lunch, service was great, food tasty, everybody was friendly and kind. Please treat yourself and go here. It is not pretentious; you just feel like you are sitting somewhere very familiar and eating good food without feeling like it broke the bank to do it.

12/03/2023 *DOOR DASH DELIVERY*…read more Dinner with the cousins tonight and hubby wanted Italian food. The place he wanted to order from didn't open until 4:00 pm so we decided to try this place. I think I have eaten here with a friend/old coworker when we moved to the area. Not sure if we have eaten here as a family many moons ago. If we did, I did not leave a review. We ordered the Pasta Special family meal, which is supposed to feed 5+ people: One large lasagna (beef or spinach) One large spaghetti, your choice of marinara or beef sauce One large house salad Half a loaf of garlic bread (split in half) * if you want all lasagna, it's $2.00 additional We also ordered mozzarella sticks (6 in an order plus marinara sauce), three orders of homemade meatballs (2 meatballs per order), apparently I ordered an extra loaf of garlic bread‍, shrimp, and clams in white sauce, and chicken cacciatore (chicken, mushrooms, green peppers, and a red wine sauce). We didn't care for the chicken cacciatore. It was like pasta in red sauce with some veggies. The meatballs were moist and their marinara sauce was good. The mozzarella sticks were your basic frozen that they fried up. The garlic bread loaf was ginormous and tasted okay. The house salad was basic iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots and cheese with a few slices of salami, with ranch dressing. Little O and I really enjoyed the clams and shrimp in white sauce. We ate most of the noodles the first day. Since there was a lot of sauce left over we saved it and made our own pasta to add to it the next day. It was still very tasty. It was a lot of food but the taste was just okay for us. We probably won't need to come back again.
