We went late afternoon on a Saturday (two littles with us that we did not want to disturb other diners). The food was great. We all tried a different dish. Each as fabulous as the other. From the ambiance, the super comfy barstools, the food and Annette behind the bar, everything was just wonderful! We started with the bruschetta. It was super yummy and different! The ricotta cheese, local honey, prosciutto, balsamic glaze, basil micro greens and roasted tomatoes made this dish phenomenal! I had the chicken Marsala served with homemade fettuccine. Clean with modern decor and plenty of seating. Just fantastic food. Like actual fresh and intentionally prepared Italian dishes. Full of flavor and well presented. The quality of food is entirely above the norm for the price range. A new favorite and I will be back. I had the lasagna and my wife had the chicken parm. I tasted both and they were amazing. I think I will try the chicken parm next time. The table bread was fresh and must have rosemary baked into it. Great flavor with soft butter. Came here for dinner with some of my family and had a delightful meal. The restaurant is beautiful and looks like a fine dining restaurant with its moody ambiance. The menu is on the smaller side for most Italian restaurants but everything we ordered was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, made recommendations and check in on us frequently. I would highly recommend the Cesar salad and the chicken parm. If you are vegetarian, the pasta caccitolo is a good option but runs a little on the salty side. read more

There was so much right about our first visit to this place, it's hard to offer a suggestion for improvement; however, I'm up for it, I think. First, it is essential to give compliments for the service, friendliness and ambiance, which were perfect. Of special appreciation: The temperature: Thank you for not freezing out your guests as most restaurants seem to do. The background music: Classic tunes from the years when tunes were melodious and memorable, with the audio at the perfect level for conversation. The restrooms were among the best among many, many that I have visited in restaurants. Only one small thing stood in the way of five stars: The sauce for the feta lemon chicken was much too watery--so much so that it had difficulty clinging to the pasta. The lemon flavor was quite significant, perhaps more than needed. Maybe more lemon zest and less juice, along with some thickening, could be considered. Everything else--the lasagna, the salad, bread--were primo! This is on our return list to try more offerings. read more

Can you nominate a restaurant for a Michelin Star? I would if I could!! I can't believe this is the first time we have been here! It was so dang good! Beautiful atmosphere with stunning art. Very upscale looking and inviting. The staff was so impressive. From the waitress to the food runners. Top notch service. But the food!!!!!oh my! All made from scratch and everything was to die for. The crab cakes were the best I have ever had and we always order them where ever we go. They were cooked perfectly and came in an amazing creamy sauce that had so many elements of flavor. We couldn't put our finger on what it all was...guess we will have to go back again!! The lasagna my husband said was the best he has ever had, I agree. The pork Milanese was so tender and packed with flavor with the light lemon pasta on the side. Even the ceasar side salads were a delight. So fresh! To Top it all off the dessert special was a vanilla bean custard with an express glaze. I felt so pampered the entire evening. Excellent food with great flavors. I would say this is more of a date night establishment vs family dining. Expect to pay $20-$26 per person and that's just for the main dishes, not including if you have appetizer, drinks or dessert. We had a party of five and were told a 35 min wait. By the time we were seated, ordered food and ate, we were there well over 2 hours. They were a little slow on getting the food out. We ordered the $16 Italian nachos and they were just ok. The crab cakes (you only get 2) and they were delicious but again $24. I wouldn't pay for those again at that price. All of us enjoyed our meals but the only complaint I have is they don't bring out the fresh baked bread with the roasted garlic to dip in oil until they bring your entrees out. I believe they want you to continue buying alcohol drinks until your food comes so they don't give you the bread but considering I don't drink alcohol, I was sitting there starving waiting for my food so that was not appreciated. All in all, it was a nice experience because my son graduated High School so it was a special occasion for us. Our bill including tip was over $300 so it's not something we will do often. I will say it is nice to have a good quality Italian option for dining in Lindale. read more

The crab cakes were so moist, perfectly cooked, lots of crab meat & served over a delicious sauce that would make any dish incredible! My husband had the special, a stuffed flounder served with baby potatoes & grilled asparagus. Amazingly wonderful! I would suggest adding it to the menu. I opted for the Chicken Parmigian. I liked they offered a choice of half or full size. The made from scratch sauce was nicely balanced, not too sweet & with a little kick of spice. Spaghetti was cooked perfectly & the chicken breast wasn't too thin or too thick & cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor & save room for dessert....the tiramasu was out of this world! From out of town and went in with friends out of curiosity. Being originally from near Bostons north end, I will admit to having a picky palate for Italian but I didn't think it was that picky. Inside was cute and clean. The waiter was quite darling and attentive. The food took quite a while (and they weren't busy so we don't get it) but he was on it and kept us updated without us asking. The Caesar salad had a good dressing, but kind of...a lot. The bread they brought wasn't much to write home about but fairly fresh (I expect better from a "scratch made" place tho!). The piccata and Marsala sauces were ok, maybe a touch heavy on the salt, but the pizza had that cardboard crust texture like the crust was frozen. The sauce was more of a tomato paste than a sauce, and again there seemed to be a strong salt flavor. In fact we thought the menu said "wood fired" but it definitely was not. In fact it looked like it was cooked on a pan. Maybe it's just the Texas standard for Italian. But it's definitely not ours. read more

My wife and I went to LaCascio's on a whim one evening. We had been there before and weren't super impressed. I'm glad we gave it another shot because we really enjoyed it. I had the Steak Marsala and my wife had Lemon Feta Chicken. Both meals were outstanding and we will definitely go back. I will also mention that every meal is only as good as your server. A great meal can be ruined really quickly by bad service, but I'm happy to say that our server, Anette, was EXCELLENT. From meal recommendations to refills, to warmth, to attention, Anette knocked it out of the park. The only thing that was less than perfect was a party of 80, half of which were super rowdy kids whose parents were allowing them to play tag (no, seriously) throughout the restaurant (very inconsiderate on the part of the parents that allowed this behavior). The lasagna was visually impressive with distinct layers and tasted as good as it looked, though a larger portion would have been appreciated as my tween son devoured it quickly.
