The food here is really good, but the customer service I've received over the phone is not good. I have a speech disorder, which means it takes me a little longer to say what I need to say than the average person. Almost always, people are perfectly patient and have no problem waiting a couple extra seconds for me to say what I'm ordering. Tonight, however, when ordering from Roma Pizza tonight over the phone, I was hung up on even AFTER i explained I had a stutter, simply because they were "busy." I know restaurants are busy, especially in these trying times, but refusing to wait a couple seconds for someone to say "spaghetti" is ableist and rude. read more

So I been eating here for a while now. The pizza is pretty good. I would recommend it. The cheesesteak and the chicken parm pasta Has basically no seasoning on it. No flavor. The garlic knots where probably microwaved because they were hard and not doughy at all. The pizza is good but other items consistently have no seasoning. I know its hellertown but some salt and pepper wouldn't hurt at least. read more

I ordered a cheese steak to go and it was awesome. Made in less than 10 minutes, it took me a while to get there and the sandwich was still piping hot loaded with meat and onions and the perfect amount of white American cheese. A huge cheese steak for under $10 I couldn't have asked for more. It tasted as good or better than anything you would find in the city. I'll have to go back and try the rest of their fare. We knew Walter from years ago when he worked at another restaurant. He's an incredibly hard worker and it shows. This is a humble pizza shop where the emphasis is on the food....it's not fancy but the food is AMAZING. Pizza is just right, sandwiches are huge and tasty, and the apps are incredible. In the area for a graduation, stopped in for a few quick fresh slices of pizza. Wrong decision, should of picked another establishment. The available slices at 5"15 pm were 4 slices of plain, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch and something with French fries on top. I had to ask if the plain was actually plain because the dough "bubbled up" and when it fell looked like something was missing (cheese and sauce). Wife had two slices of plain, I tried the Chicken Ranch and Buffalo Chicken since the plain just didn't look great and there wasn't that other popular pizza ---- oh yeah pepperoni. The dough was below average, not much cheese at all ( I tasted my wife's plain and if I had my eyes closed I'm not sure I would have thought it was plain pizza ). My Buffalo Chicken was okay, but it looked like it was fried breaded chicken diced into 1/4" pieces. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was terrible with the same chicken as the buffalo, very small amount of cheese and not much flavor other than the hint of bacon. I don't have a pizza oven nor am I a "trained" pizza maker but have to say I make better pizza at home in my standard oven on a pizza stone. As we sat at the table to "consume' our pizza, I noticed the ceiling was stained, walls and plastic baseboards were in disrepair, the chairs had tears. Not a "fresh" looking décor. Watching the guy behind the counter making pizza, he also answered the phone, worked the resister handling money then handling food all while never washing his hands or wearing gloves. Then waitress showed up from the back started making a cheese steak, wiped the counter by the grill with a rag and then through it on the condiment table behind her, right on top of the condiments. She didn't wear gloves or wash her hand either. So sorry we ate here. Never again. read more

We ordered a cheese steak and my wife got food poisoning and puked twice tonight. The roll smelled like cigarette smoke, and there were dark black bits in the sandwich probably from not cleaning the cook surface properly. I haven't been happy with the quality there and may not go back. read more

Pretty good pizza! I came in at lunch to get a slice. Pepperoni is usually my go-to, but it looked like it had been sitting out for a while. So, I got the stuffed meatlovers. It was very flavorful. It could have been left in the oven a bit longer. It was just slightly warm. They have Coke products which is great. I'd go back. read more

I called before we came and they were the only place out of like 15 places that would accommodate us. I have two favorites from Roma's! First is the spaghetti with meat sauce. It tastes like awesome homemade spaghetti (that I'm not capable of making as good at home) and it comes with bread and a side salad for a great price. Best pizza in Hellertown! One of my favorites there is the California Cheeseburger. It's always thick and juicy. My son and I hardly ever go in without ordering Roma fries, which are French fries smothered in cheese, ranch, and bacon. Sounds weird but it is so good. Their pizza was horrid..it felt a day old and almost made me sick, and to top it off they charged me for a water cup!!!, which I'm pretty sure isn't even legal !
