*HOSTILE SERVERS* walked in at 8:45 when they close at nine. We were driving all day and really wanted a nice meal. We walked in and the burly woman at the hostess stand gave us the nastiest look. We asked if they were open, she says "we close at nine". I say, " it's 8:45, can we get a table?" She rolled her eyes like a teenager and huffed and puffed while grabbing silverware and menus. She stormed into the dining room with out saying anything. So we said, "sorry to bother you, well go somewhere else". Attended a group dinner with 35 people. Started with a salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and onion (very basic). Pasta entrees were swimming in a fairly bland marinara sauce. The room was clean but felt more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Perhaps ordering a meal off the menu is a better way to evaluate this restaurant. read more

Great pizza, clean restaurant and fast courteous service!

We stopped here for the first time on our way home from the airport last night. It will not be our last. The food was delicious and they had Senior sizes which was perfect for my wife and myself. We each had the lasagna and enjoyed it very much. The hot rolls were quite tasty and the service was very friendly and prompt. We did not save room for dessert but it looked very good. This is the best example of the worst customer service I have ever had. Me and my friend were on a long trip back to Raleigh when we decided to stop for dinner. We entered the building at 8:45 and noticed they closed at 9. We asked the host if they were still serving dinner. She informed us in a very short manor that they closed at 9. We were hungry and asked if it would be okay if we got a table. She rolled her eyes at us and said I guess! She then proceeded to slap some menus around and throw herself about as she stomped us to our table. It was obvious she wanted to go home. There were still many others eating in the dining area. We then decided it was time to go we didn't even stay for dinner instead we went to a very hospitable Mexican restaurant. This review is very late as I was there in October 2016---but---I haven't forgotten the incredible service and delicious pizza! I believe the wonderful young waitress's name we had was Alex, & she was amazing and had the best customer service skills. We always go here after dropping off flowers at the family cemetery. We like the pepperoni-mushroom-extra cheese, and every single time, it is one of the most delicious pizzas we've ever had! This last time I saw they had breast cancer t-shirts to support breast cancer, so I thanked them for doing that as I am also a survivor---they gave me a free t-shirt! I tried to not accept it as it wasn't necessary, but they were so nice and insisted they wanted me to have it. I love this place and will be back next time I am in VA! read more

Enjoyable atmosphere at a reasonable price. The waitstaff we had was attentive and had a wonderful sense of humor. Food was what you would expect for an Italian restaurant. A plus was they made their own rolls, the only thing I needed to ask for was the Parmesan cheese because it wasn't at the table. The waitstaff bought it as soon as we'd asked. I've been coming here for years and it's never let me down. First off, they are always nice and greet you when you walk in and always have a smile. They have a dining area, and also an events area that you can have gatherings at. They give you more than enough food in almost whatever you order. Whether it's a good sub, a great pizza or a good salad, you will definitely find something on the menu you will enjoy. I got a steak and cheese sub on this visit and a side of fries. The fries don't come with the sub but it was more than enough for two people to share. I made modifications to my sub and they were very accommodating to adding what i wanted. Of course there is a charge for it but they still have relatively good prices. Some weekends I will order the chicken parmigiana and it comes 2 chicken breast with spaghetti, a salad and bread. It's more than enough for 2 people to share which is what we usually do. I've never had room for dessert. On Monday's I believe they have a pasta special for a certain time during the evening. I come here often and it's been a great experience every time. I always order off the lunch menu and everything always comes out quick. I recommend the spaghetti and meat sauce. It comes out in portions for at least 2 people and no room to fit in the bread rolls. The service is always friendly. Lunch is less than 10$ with a drink too. Great place! read more

It was so nice to eat here. The staff made me feel very welcome literally from the moment I walked in. I am a northerner, and I'm not sure if it was just good ole' southern hospitality or really good staff but either way...food was terrific. It was priced fairly. I had lasagna...very very good. Great visit for local Italian near the Richmond Airport. Two pizzas that game out great, a chicken panini my wife liked, and a oven toasted steak sub that I really enjoyed. The restaurant made rolls were tasty - we took two dozen home. Great waitress that was very friendly. Grew up around Pittsburgh area Italian restaurants and this one was just as good as any I've had. Great food. Super service (by Logan). Close to the airport (3 miles). Got there about 6 pm. Got seated immediately. Most customers coming out were carrying doggie "bags", making me think "This place must be serving BIG portions". Wasn't wrong on that count. Had a nice chat with waitress Logan who appears to know and like her job! Had a nice garden salad, my daughter had a Cesar's salad. Nice dressing. Then I had a 1/2 portion of spaghetti with a sausage. Thank goodness I only took the half portion! Excellent spaghetti. Daughter had lobster ravioli. LOBSTER RAVIOLI!!! Let me taste half of one: super great taste and texture! She couldn't have dessert either! Overall a good 5-star place. They obviously know their stuff. read more

Roma 's is OK. The food to me is kind of bland but the prices are reasonable and the portions are good. Their lunch specials are substantial as far as size goes and the prices are probably the best around for lunch. But as far as the food goes taste wise it's just ok. We recently attended the Jefferson Cup soccer tournament and dined with a group of 34 girls soccer players and their families. Antonio the manager was extremely accommodating in giving us a set menu and price. When we arrived we had a great set up in a separated dining room with printed menus at each place setting. My friend and I decided to stop here for dinner on our way back to Maryland from North Carolina. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The lasagna was large and absolutely delicious. My friend said her pizza was very good. The food was hot and fresh, and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive without hovering. Amazing! Inviting! Accommodating! Delicious! Yum! Awesome food - especially the pizza and desserts! The BEST Chicken Picatta I've ever eaten! The food is FRESH FRESH FRESH! The last time we visited we came in with a party of 27 in the banquet room! We did call and order ahead of time and were seated immediately, and in and out in under 2 hours. It was a wonderful experience. This restaurant is family friendly but also offers an intimate setting for "date night." It is clean and all of the staff is friendly and helpful. Whenever we visit Richmond we'll make Roma one of our dinner stops! You should too! read more

I have been going here for years but today I found a new level of respect for this fine restaurant. I called in my order and I think there must have been two orders with the same name. My order was given to the other person. I was on my way to work and didn't have time to wait on them to remake my order. Antonio not only remade my order but brought the order to me so that I could make it to work on time and they don't deliver. I have been a customer for years and I will remain one. My two companions and I were visitors to Sandston looking for a nice dinner. We were very surprised at the quality of service and food at the Roma. Our salads and entrees rivaled the best we have eaten in Chicago. Very friendly service (thank you Misty!) made us feel right at home. My Linguine Matteo contained shrimp that was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and the pasta was al dente (over cooked pasta is a personal pet peeve). My companions had the Sacchetti pasta, small pasta sacksfilled with Porcini mushrooms with Alfredo. Both thought it was excellent.
