Staying in DT Richmond and was craving a local pizzeria. Not sure why these guys have such a low score on Yelp - Other scores are 4.7stars. Only reason I didn't give a 5 was because it was a little pricy for delivery. The Meat Lovers pizza was packed w/ toppings and has great flavor. The cheese stix were awesome and you order them as a pizza size (plus can add toppings if you choose). Quick delivery - less than 40 min in the middle of dinner rush hours. Great job Chanello's and hats off to the Front Desk at the Marriott for making the suggestion. You earned yourself a repeat customer!! read more

My wife and I recently bought a home ad was doing some repairs on July 4th and had some friends and family coming over and was treating them to some pizza. While Chanello's wasn't my first choice as I called two local Italian Resteraunts who were closed for the holiday. Ordered my two large pizzas on the app with a two-liter pizza for pick up at 1:15 PM and it was 39 dollars. Ordering online was a little challenging with it constantly asking me to verify if I was a human and not taking my card a few times. My wife picked up the pizza which was ready on time and the poor workers had no AC in the building (Very hot that day 94 degrees). Pizza was delicious and had no complaints. Prob only take a half star off for the app and not the workers or food but won't allow such. Will come back. read more

I go past this Chanello's every time I go to King's Wok or Canasta's Chicken, all in the same strip mall. The storefront has a very uninviting appearance, which is why I've not stopped in until last week. The storefront appears to be the first line of defense against robbery, much like the windows at your bank. Not exactly welcoming. But I've eaten pizza from other Chanello's stores in the past, so I thought I'd give it a try. I spoke with a man a little bit, and a woman much more. Both were pleasant and accommodating. I ordered a medium Pizza with Pepperoni, Green Pepper, and Mushrooms. (I checked first... they use fresh mushrooms, not canned.) I also ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sub, and a Greek Salad. Fifteen minutes later I was on my way home. At home, I first ate 3 slices of the Pizza. Good, but not exceptional. I was thankful that I had ordered a medium and not a large. Next I ate the Greek Salad, and enjoyed every bite. But between Chanello's Greek Salad and that from Canasta's Chicken (right next door), I'll take Canasta's every time. I was getting full by now. But I unwrapped the Philly Cheesesteak and was very disappointed. The assembly was very sloppy. The sub itself was very mediocre. Chanello's has decent reliable food at decent prices. But whatever you're in the mood for, you can find better nearby. read more

Not a bad product at all. Dude on the phone hung up so fast, I couldn't even ask for black pepper and crushed red pepper. Pizza cake real quick with a really nice delivery lady. :-) But, no peppers, no napkins, no plates, and no fork to eat my "well placed" cheesecake (as you can see) in a hotel room. Visiting for a wedding from California and a friend ordered an extra cheese pie from here. I bummed a slice and all I can say is I wish I ordered my own pie!!!! DELICIOUS!! Only giving 1 star because the pizza is ok. As far as service, -10 do NOT RECOMMEND! We ordered 2 pizzas and 4 sodas for delivery through the website. We got confirmation and it said that they are sending a DoorDasher to deliver it. Sent tracking info and details. COOL. Time goes by. Driver gets here with only our pizza, no sodas. We said ok. He left. We called the location we ordered from and spoke to the "manager". Explain the issue and simply asked if they can send out our sodas that we paid for. She had an attitude and puts me on hold for 11mins. Never came back. So I hung up and called back. She picks up. Saying "oh I'm sorry I was trying to wait for my boss to respond to me". So I'm like soooo you could have gotten back on the line to tell me that at minimum! So now I'm pissed because not only did you not take accountability for y'all mess up but you didn't even attempt to make it right you just left me on hold. So now she's like she will send out her guy to bring it but won't know how long it'll take because he isn't even there right now. The steak and cheese is probably one of the best Richmond has to offer. I live on the opposite side of town but never seem to mind paying the toll to get pick up one! Steak and cheese all day. UPDATE: They now suck. Chick just pulled up to my house blasting gospel with her brights on. Foods ok, service in the negative. They lose delivery orders and are normally late. I order delivery from here sometimes. It's a 3 as long as you know what to order - the Philly cheese sub, turkey sub, and meatball subs are pretty reliably good. But I've ordered the wrong thing far too often. Apparently, the cookie and the cinnamon rolls are just meant to be dog treats or paper weights - the cookie appears to be a foil take out container that had super greasy cookie dough pressed into it to line the bottom and then it was passed through the oven conveyor. It resulted in an inedible greasy brick. The cinnamon rolls appeared to have been prepped the same way but were still mostly raw, chewy dough. read more

Walking into this place always sketches me out a bit because it's clearly old and has seen better days. Plus it's so uninviting when you have to communicate with someone through a square hole that's barely big enough to get a pizza through.. Besides that, though, this location is great. The staff is always friendly, and their warmth really makes up for the appearance of the place. Plus, my pizzas are always hot, delicious, and well-made. Well apparently door dash never had someone to pick it up and failed to let me know. I decided at 1230am to call the restaurant and have them deliver it. A Lunch-special delivery regular, the food is great an added bonus- the fries come seasoned the salads are salivating and fresh. The chicken fajita sub is my fave and I'd recommend if you're not in the mood for pizza (which is pretty tasty as well). Delivery always arrives on or before delivery time. Fast friendly.
