I was recently in Richmond on business and was searching for a restaurant near my hotel on Yelp. Roma was somewhat close so I took a chance. Food was delicious, staff friendly and bar had some very good whiskey selections including Blantons bourbon. I was thrilled! It was late, I had to get up early so had a glass of white wine and planned to return the next night. I did and enjoyed my favorite bourbon that has become almost impossible to purchase in liquor stores. Sat at the bar, had a very nice conversation with bartender/owner, again delicious dinner and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I highly recommend Roma, just wish it was in Vero Beach, FL where I live! Ok we have ordered from them a few times But tonight we were really disappointed to say the least. The veal Parm was good but it was topped With a pasty Tom sauce, these are the Nights I long for home in Boston, where you can get homemade spaghetti sauce t which is equal to none that I have tasted in Va. I'd say prego tasted better than pasty anyway and if you don't know what pasty taste like here ya go, open a can of Tim paste and dilute with some water & presto instant crap, it truthfully I like the Arancini Was good but it should have been larger, pasta was done right but spoiled by pasty Tom crap read more

I've been to Roma three times this month; twice for lunch and one carryout, and each time deserves 5 stars. I've ordered and eaten... Roma's Combo Pizza (Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms, Green Peppers & Onions), Fettuccini Alfredo, Cheese Steak Sub, Club Sandwich, French Fries, and Onion Rings. I have no complaints whatsoever. My only nit is that the excellent Fettuccini Alfredo was just a tad watery, easily remedied with grated Parmesan Cheese. My last 2 trips were for lunch, ordering one of the 13 $7.99 Lunch Specials. Total tab+tip is always under $20. I've now tried the Club Sandwich and Fettuccini Alfredo for lunch. Only 11 left to try. I'll get started this week. The store is super clean; all personnel are über friendly, and the food comes out promptly. Mangiamo! read more

I sat at the bar to avoid a wait. My blackened chicken primavera was delicious, and way more than I could eat at one sitting! Can't wait to finish it tomorrow. The hot roll was incredible. If I had gone to dinner here by myself, this would have been 5 stars. I had the tour of Italy pasta dish, which is awesome. All 4 components (manicotti, lasagna, chicken parm and spaghetti & meatball) were great, but the chicken parm was exceptional. I don't think I have ever ordered chicken parm in my life, but I might just do it on a future visit. But honestly, any of these 4 as an entree would have been great. My wife's dish, on the other hand, was not very good. She went with the pick and choose pasta special, and ordered angel hair pasta with pesto sauce. Didn't know it until it arrived, but the pesto sauce is more of a creamy sauce, and it kind of made all the noodles lumpy and soft. It did not taste very good. Her dinner was salvaged by ordering tiramisu for dessert, which she loved. Libbie was our server, and did a great job. When we arrived, we were only the 2nd couple in the front dining area. By the time we left, all the booths in that room were full, and she was taking care of all of them, and doing it well. We will definitely come back again, and just not order pesto. read more

Roma's has always been one of my favorites BUT my last order was less than what was expected. The pizza definitely did not have the extra cheese I paid for (barely any cheese at all) and the side salad should have been called side lettuce because that is about all it was. I made an major mistake last night I was tired an ordered spaghetti last nigh for take out. Nice people on the phone and in person,!! Worse spaghetti I have ever tried to eat. Baked with cheese and very hot when I picked it up. I only live 5 minutes sway. I could NOT EAT THE spaghetti cause it had NO tastes at all. There Is no way to resurrect this dish. I am glad it cost me around $ 7.00 but I am afraid that the disk is not. worth saving! read more

We have been coming here for years for their pizza. We love it. Out of all their branches that I have tried, this one is the best. The pizza is always just right and taste amazing. 1) Food is fresh and taste great. 2) Waitstaff is friendly and attentive. 3) Drinks are good. Prices are average for the area. Lunch here is generally fast and their personal pizzas are always great. The dough and the sauce are the key to their awesome Pizzas. Their pizza passes The Pizza Taste Test: 1) Must taste great fresh and hot. 2) Must taste great a day later as left overs in the Fridge. 3) Must taste great a two days later after it has been in the fridge. 4) I have frozen it and had it weeks later and it tasted great. Everything is so amazing. There lasagna is only one of my favorite meals with the rolls. And there Philly Sub with the fried onions and peppers with your special orders are to die for. Aside from the constant frigid temperature, this place is awesome! Service is always excellent and the food is always fresh and delicious. I typically order pizza here, they use real Italian sausage! My personal faves are the white pizza and the margherita. If you do come here, bring a jacket - seriously - no matter the time of year, the temperature is about 60 with 10 knot winds. read more

Fresh Greek salad added grilled chicken and Mediterranean salad comes with filet mignon. Homemade Ranch and Italian dressing is great tasting. Rolls we used to dip as well. Mussels in white sauce they have red too. Italian subs was delicious. Great customer service. The best eggplant parmigiana, calamari tasted great. Italian sub is the bomb. Meatball Appetizer is perfect size and filling. Rolls served hot w butter. Desserts are tough to decide which one is your favorite because they are all great! I visited this Roma's for the first time recently and had a wonderful experience. I was with a large group celebrating a birthday. We had about 2-3 servers for a group of about 25. I was pleasantly surprised that, unlike most of my experiences with large group dinners, there were no issues with things like speed of service, drink refills, etc. The servers were very attentive and efficient in their handling of the group, and I don't recall anyone complaining about needing something and not having it. And even though there was a preset menu (because of the size of the group) the food was pretty good, though not the best Italian I've ever had. I had not previously heard of this location but after my first visit, would not hesitate to return. read more

We had a bit of time before catching a flight back home and saw the good reviews. So we ordered a caprese salad and Roma's combo (pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom and green peppers). The caprese salad was huge and tasty. Generous portions of mozzarella, basil and tomatos on leafy greens with a plentiful portion of balsalmic vinegarette. The pizza was very good. Heartiful portions of ingredients and full of flavor. Thick and well cooked crust. If you are close to the airport and want a good pizza, check out this place. read more

Came here for lunch before flying back to Texas. Lasagna nice and cheesy just the way I like it. Teriyaki chicken wings were "very good" according to my 15 year old son. Husband ordered Tour of Italy. Good thing he skipped breakfast because it was big. (And also cheesy!). We boxed up half of the Tour of Italy, also my younger son's fettuccine Alfredo and brought them back to Texas with us. It was worth it to bring it with us on the plane. Plenty of food for leftovers tomorrow . Nice waitress too. Margaritas are mostly ice. I slurped mine down within seconds. But then ordered a Pinot Noir which paired well with my lasagna. read more

The restaurant is clean, friendly staff and the food was amazing. I'm vegan and they went out of their way to fix dinner for me. Wow! We were a party of 7 on the hunt for a real lunch on a Saturday driving back from the beach. The food was amazing, hot, and well proportioned for the price. The service was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu options and on point with the recommendations. My 9 year old daughter has severe food allergies and this restaurant totally blew it out of the park! She said it was the BEST restaurant because she could eat like a normal person- and not just order a bunch of side dishes. Antonio listened to my concerns and did a phenomenal job selecting several items she could actually eat. We will absolutely add this restaurant into a yearly stop! Highly recommended! read more

Server was nice and friendly. I ordered veal cutlet parmigiana. I have not had veal since i was a kid but i just had to try something different. The sauce was ok, nondescript. The cheese was great. tender and chewy, and stringy. Just as it should be. The problem - the veal may have been great, no way to tell. The coating was slimy and gooey, just plain gross. It robbed the veal of any possible flavor. I took one bite and there was no way to eat any more. The waitress asked if I was done. I said yes. She took my plate and brought the bill. Note to waitress: when a customer takes one bite of a $20+ meal and stops eating, try asking if there is a problem. Of course, maybe she knew the problem and did not want to hear it again. read more

I've been here many times as it's one of the better Italian places in the area. They are most well known for the baked spaghettis and that's what I normally get. You can get a variety of sauces with or w/o meat and the cover it in mozzarella and bake, not sure how you could go wrong with that! We've tried a couple of other dishes (your typical Italian fare) and everyone has always enjoyed there food. It's a decent sized local place. It's always clean and the service is always friendly. The prices are fair ($30 for 3 people) and you always have leftovers. This is where I take visitors who want a good comforting meal. read more
