The important thing though, is that I finally went there today and got a cheesesteak with fried onions. The first thing I did when I got home was weigh it. 2.3 lbs of cheesesteak goodness. Naturally, the enormity of the thing comes at a cost: $19.10 out the door. Being honest, I don't know what started this trend of "more food than you can possibly eat", but it's "a thing" now, so what can you do? Buy it, and share or save half for later. But, back to the steak. I'd say the closest competitor that I'm aware of would be High Steaks in Ambler, but in terms of meat to cheese ratio and flavor, I'm giving Verona the edge. In fact, I'd say it's the best or tied with the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten, and I'm old - so that's saying a lot. So we've got a great a steak that will easily serve two, a friendly staff, and prices within the realm of what you'd expect for August 2026. In addition to those tangible things, I take some joy in seeing that the choke hold once around the wallets of locals by that other place that shares it's name with it's location, has finally been broken. Competition is a great thing, and when you're greeted with a smile and a "thank you" that accompanies your order, that makes a huge difference, and is very refreshing. Overall: Delicious cheesesteak, friendly service, and they seem to appreciate that you're giving them your business. That's an A+ in my book.

As a parent, I know my children, and I know they would never take something that doesn't belong to them, let alone something as small as a table ornament, and especially not in front of me. What upset me the most was how quickly they jumped to accuse my kids without any proof or even giving us the benefit of the doubt. After supporting this restaurant for so long, it was disappointing and hurtful to have my family treated this way. I expected a family-friendly environment where customers are respected, but instead we were made to feel uncomfortable and wrongly judged. I'm not writing this out of anger but out of genuine disappointment. This experience left a very sour impression, and I cannot see myself coming back. Respect works both ways, and unfortunately, Giuseppe's has lost my trust as a customer. Went hoping for a pleasurable dining experience. However, I was greeted at the door by a heavy set, sweaty middle aged man who seemed quite irritated by my presence. After a solid 5 or 6 minutes of unbroken eye contact, I chose to seat myself. I probably waited a half hour before I was angrily presented with a menu, which had dark red stains on each page, and many pages were stuck together, limiting my options. I chose to order a personal pan pizza and a baked ravioli meal. I had to wait an additional half hour before my order was taken, and the ruckus in the kitchen afterwards led me to believe they were unprepared to prepare my meal. After nearly forty five minutes of waiting, through horrid stomach pains and hungry throws, I was given 2 plates covered by material that cannot be reasonably described as food. The waiter chose to toss these plates at me, from nearly a yard away from the table. What food I was able to salvage had the taste of metal, dandruff, and some substances on the "pizza" resembled cooked bodily fluid. Before being presented with the check, all the workers in the store put on their coats and left. I chose to follow and enjoy a free meal. My car was keyed. Ultimately, I would dine here again. The emasculating atmosphere and threatening wait staff are a welcome break from the typical coddling I find at most other establishments. read more

My family & I used to live in Huntingdon Valley back in the late 80's & early 90's, Roman Delight was the Go-To place. Now in 2014, it's nice to know - that it still is! My daughter & I were in the area & planned on stopping in for an early dinner. Their waitstaff are still friendly and professional. The food is still out of this world. I had the wings as a starter - probably the only place in the area that has a six (6) piece order (very smart), the wings are good size & the hot sauce definitely brings the heat without knocking your socks off. Excellent! We shared a medium plain pie and still had some leftover to bring home. Their pizza is exactly how I remembered it - simply delicious. They still use those "raised pizza serving trays" so the table doesn't get cluttered (very smart). Almost forgot, They have pretty much whatever beer you desire...Huge selection and ice cold! Hit the spot on a warm day and the perfect addition to my food selection. We saw some other reviews that mentioned price, remember this "You get what you pay for". Walked in expectin' Southern comfort, got a surprise with the pizza twist, but let me tell ya, the real surprise was the waitresses - hotter than a summer day in Talladega. I'm talkin' Southern charm with a side of sizzle. Tried to focus on my pizza, but them waitresses had me doin' more laps than a racetrack.
