Roman Delight in Abington has been a spot my family has gone since I was a little kid and I love the vibes, the food, service and of course the nostalgia. My dad used to get us pizza here every Friday growing up and some of our faves were the pepperoni, white pie & Brooklyn Special. Now I still love the pizza but the Cheesesteak Hoagie Wrap is a big go to for me as well as an adult and when a kid along with their cheesesteaks. Definitely recommend this spot for lunch or dinner! After dining at Roman Delight for over 20 years and never once complaining about anything, not even when they made my club sandwich with the heel of the bread or when the grilled chicken salad had barely visible chicken in it, today I asked to have an item taken off the bill. First time in over 20 years, and the pizza guy became hostile and threatening and told us never to come back. He even said that he knew us and that we've been coming there forever but chose to be hostile instead of gracious. I get it. Great family pizza (and more) joint and has been for decades. Love actually going and eating there- they have waiters and beer! Nice for a cheaper night out than a full on restaurant. Average tasting food at best. Nothing special. The cheesesteaks had no cheese! Why do you call them cheesesteaks? The meat was the cheap imported kind that needs to be chopped into thousands of pieces just be made edible due to the large amount of gristle present. But at least it was not spoiled/rancid like that served at many competing shops. The sausage grinder did have cheese and was somewhat tasty although certainly not enough so to warrant the $13 price tag. The pizza is super salty and has canned tomatoes in the sauces, so the pizza has that metallic taste that you got from school cafeteria pizza. Yuck! The service is slower than a dead snail swimming in frozen molasses. Some of the waitresses are arrogant and rude. The prices are higher than a nuclear powered kite. I remember eating here as a kid. Nothing seems to have changed including the flavor of the foods. Again, nothing special. But at least the food is not as old and rotting as it is at much of the competition. read more

Basic but comfortable and friendly atmosphere inside. Clearly an efficiently run and clean restaurant. Entrées are excellent as is their pizza. Always have excellent, efficient, and friendly servers. Not thrilled about their post Covid abbreviated hours, but I'll live with it and keep coming here when I want Italian food. read more

We order led from here a few times for work. The 1st time we order 5 pizzas to deliver to the local Police department at Thanksgiving time. The 2nd time we order our meals for our work Holiday party. Both times they were very accommodating and efficient. The food was ready for pickup early both times and was still hot and fresh. They were extremely friendly and willing to take on the large orders. We will continue to order from them for work and even personally (even though I don't live near them). Zero stars for this place. Tried chicken Marcella and the sauce was yellow and as we all know, Marcella wine is not yellow. So it tasted watery and gross. Then they brought me chicken parm. Which was fried and burnt around the edges, also disgusting, and they're charging $20 for this. it's not even a real chicken breast. It's a cutlet that is frozen. The owner Mike came over to my table and was very angry because he stated that he's been doing this for 40 years and no one's complained, then he proceeded to take the chicken parm on my plate and tear it up in little pieces in his hands even though I actually didn't complain about that. I was going to take the rest home. So that was my experience, there. Everybody in the restaurant who heard him looked like they were in complete shock at his poor behavior and he told us never to come back again. Well, okay, not a problem. You're not a real Italian restaurant and shame on you for your a very poor behavior let's be real. You're in the business of customer service and you suck at it. I'd like to add this review. Sitting that when I got home from eating at this place. I threw up the spinach that I ate and little piece of chicken that I ate as well. I love this place! It's not gourmet, it's just a really great pizza/Italian place where you can bring your family. I've come for dinner once and taken the kiddos for pizza lunch multiple times. I enjoy this over smaller places because I get waited on in a comfy cozy restaurant and I don't feel like I'm in a dive. I like lunch time here. It's not too busy and the pizza is hot and fresh. Fresh fresh fresh. I hope it's fresh...otherwise I sound like a derp! DERP! No, it's good. I am picky about pizza and I keep coming back, so there you have it. They have TVs dedicated to sports but I don't ever feel like I'd be over-run with fanatics. I'd say the ratio of generational clientele is fairly matched, which makes it a great "family" restaurant. The cheese pizza runs you around $12 for a large (or $1.75 per slice) but it's worth it. Flavors are great, cheese & crust have the perfect respected textures. The Caesar salad was fresh and plentiful, but I probably wouldn't order it again simply because I didn't care for the dressing and the chicken looked like my mom pan-browned it....but it WAS fresh and I did finish my plate. I also recommend the white clam pasta and the cheese steaks served on perfectly soft rolls. Yum! They do serve coffee (for moms like me who somehow made it to lunch without getting a chance to get some coffee) It wasn't very strong, but it'll get you through. Alternately, they also serve beer and WINE. Yes....the first quarter page of the menu tempts you with grapes and bottles. You're welcome. This place is loved by many locals but, not this local. Flavors are lacking and portions are small. I've eaten here many times because I live and work up the street. I haven't encountered management but I've heard that it is terrible. The portions are lacking......if you order a cheese steak you can put all of the cheese steak on 1/2 of the roll and that's what it's suppose to look like. One time I got the 1/2 sandwich meatball special and it came with 2 meatballs and they cut one of the meatballs in 1/2 to kind of fill the bread. Lunched at Roman Delight with an old friend. Parking's cake. It's a sit-down kind of place, with a genial atmosphere. We were seated right away. For starters, I had a pleasant minestrone soup, a good warm up to lunch. My slice of pizza had sausages and black olives - the olives were strangely limp, kind of weird, right? Toppings cost extra, as expected, and the sausage definitely gave my pizza slice, which would otherwise be a plain one, a little salty character. Last I checked, they had a liquor license, so get a beer to go with that pizza. Stop in if you're in the area. read more

Ordered a chicken parm sandwich and French fries to go. The sandwich was great! A good size especially for the price. Plenty of chicken, sauce and cheese. The bread was nicely toasted as well. The fries were a big portion and good - they just needed to be salted. The only downfall of the order. Although I've eaten in and taken out pasta dishes in the past without issue, I was disappointed in my most recent experience. My husband & I were looking for someplace different for pizza & wings, and seeing as though we've enjoyed the pasta dishes previously, we chose Roman Delight on a Sunday night. My husband placed the order one pizza, one order of wings) then went to pick it up. Upon arriving, the staff attempted to give him the wrong order twice, then realized they hadn't made the pizza. They compensated his extra wait with a $5 discount, which was a nice gesture. When he arrived home, we realized that the wings were missing condiments- no blue cheese dressing!!! The atmosphere is beautiful and the food was delicious! The portions were large and our server was great. They have great appetisers and the fries are so crispy.
