This small pizza place has been around for a long time. Not much has changed including the employees. They are always happy to see you even it if its been a long time between visits. The gourmet pizza options are very good including the mexican taco that I got again recently. I also got an order of spaghetti and meatballs. I am usually skeptical about meatballs but they were excellent.I will keep going back. read more

I went there for first time. Enjoyed it till I found the woman's brown hair in my pizza. This is unacceptable.

So disappointed. This place is kind of divey. On walking in there was a woman splayed out in one of the booths, sleeping, and the overall ambience was rather icky. I saw reviews extolling the Sicilian pizza but there was only one counter slice, on Friday at dinner time! Neither the Sicilian nor the regular slice had a distinctive taste, and the crust was more cardboard than dough. After a bad experience there I found Nick's, about a mile away. It was just the opposite. So my advice is go to Nick's. read more

They offer the standard Pizzeria menu- wings, cheese steaks, hoagies, fries etc. In addition to great pizza, their wings are particularly good too. Well here in PA there are only two places that reign supreme and one of the two is Mama's! I am not usually a Sicilian pizza fan but Mama's is absolutely in a class of their very own! The Marcello special is as close to gastronomic heaven as one will ever experience. Each bite is crunchy, intense with fresh tomato and garlic flavor and the fire roasted mushrooms and sautéed spinach and garlic are mind blowing. Don't want Sicilian well their traditional pizza makes most New York places tremble as they are freshly made with attention to doneness of the crust and their using only the finest of cheese and topping. My wife discovered this place because it's right by her work. We are never disappointed. This place has good food and a staff that is incredibly friendly. It's got that great neighborhood feel. How did I read all of these reviews and see no mention of wings?! Everything at Mama's is exceptional but despite moving from the area 6 years ago I make almost weekly trips back for their wings. They are literally the best coming from someone who's taken multiple road trips up and down the east coast to places that were supposed to be the best. Food was okay but the cleanliness is subpar, at the very least. I get that they're going for an old school look but grime on the floor looks dirty and bit classic. It's sticky and gross. I'm giving them 2 stars because they seemed nice but there was NOTHING special about their pizza. I grabbed a slice of Sicilian (end piece) while I was waiting for a large pie and I knew right then it wasn't that great. I've driven past here quite a few times and was curious if they were any good. It's tricky getting into their lot but I was hoping that was a good sign that their pizza was so good it was worth the hassle of going around the block to enter. It seemed like there was just too much sauce on a very thin pie with not a lot of crust border. I added two sides of fries-both cooked too well done, again nothing special. Maybe the other reviews are people settling for pizza because there isn't anything else near them. I won't be returning. I'm guessing some of these positive reviews are for the other Mama's Pizza locations. The Mama's on Belmont Ave is sensational and the pizza looks NOTHING like this! read more

There are about 5000 pizza places within a couple miles of my home, but I always go out of my way for Mama's pizzas. Their specialty pies are just the best. While they might seem a little pricey ($16-20), they are large and very filling. They don't skimp on the ingredients here. They have a lot of great pies but my favorites are cheese steak (which for some reason isn't on the menu, but just ask for it), chicken pesto, and primavera (spinach, broccoli & diced tomatoes). Omg yum is all I can say!!! I am obsessed with their cheesesteak! The best I have ever had. We have been ordering from this place every Saturday night for the last two months. My husband knows not to even ask me where else we would go for Saturday night takeout because this is the place we've been looking for for takeout for the last 10 years of living in the area. 3 1/2 stars. I think more folks need to know about this place. Having asked many people what local pizza they would recommend in and around Oreland, Mama's hadn't been suggested. Good thing there's yelp. Went with no toppings on my pizza this first time just to see how it stood up by itself. The crust is a traditional style and and was very good, although not close to being well done enough, which is how I placed my order (I'll push a little harder on the next one). The sauce and cheese were also good ... definitely better than most places in the area. I look forward to trying their specialty pizzas. Great neighborhood pizza joint that has been in the neighborhood since I can remember (over 10+ years!). Pizza is great, and we usually get the personal Stromboli (HUGE) and also an order of wings. I wanted a genuine Philly Cheesesteak and my local host brought me here. It was delicious and served quick. I can't speak to the pizza by taste, but it sure looked good and if I wasn't set in a cheesesteak, I definitely would have enjoyed some. We live in Baton Rouge and make it a point to eat at Mama's whenever we visit family in Fort Washington. The pizzas are out of this world. We just can't get pizza like this down south! The owner always greets you and will bend over backwards to accommodate your pizza cravings. For example when asked when the food would arrive the man said "well if I had a magic carpet I could make it there quickly." The service is fast and friendly!!! They are very patient with answering questions when someone has never been their before. Have yet to find a pizza that I like, but have only ordered the Italian Taco. There is a lot of toppings, so food is worth the price but I prefer not only thin crust but also crunchy. Everyone was extremely friendly when we walked in but I was shocked by our total price. I ordered 4 specialty pizzas totaling $80. The pizza sizes were decent and I get the quality of pizza and toppings were good but I took one bite and was unimpressed. The pizza is a little greasier and crust is much thicker (preferred thinner crust) and not as flavorful (sauce wise) as it was before. ..:. My hubby and I have been faithful customers forever of Mama's Pizza in Dresher PA. So tonight I called in an order for delivery (which for the most part we usually pick up). So an hour and a half later no delivery, then I receive a call from the driver to verify our address he will be here shortly was lost, 10 minuets later still no delivery! I call the owner tells me he thought the guy knew where he was going and found out he didn't know but would be here in a minute 10 minuets later showed with a cold pizza I refused to pay he called the owner who said just give it to them. I called the owner back to say thank you and how disappointed I was with what took place. I even said do you know who we are and he said yes I know who you are are and than flipped out! It really stinks cause they are our favorite place things happen in the pass (forgot to bring our salads, and he apologized and would bring them back I told he it's fine don't worry, another time he brought an extra pizza when I said something he was great I'll take if off I said no that's not me and he said I'll take care of you next time it didn't happen but I was fine with that cause I love there food it's the best), but I just shrug it off and the only one time I complain he cops an attitude with me?
