Very pleased, and would easily be a 4.5 Most important factors get a 5 star rating: Timeliness and cleanliness. Our driver arrived on-time, to the proper location and with a clean (and sweet!) limo for our group of 30 or so yr olds heading out for a brewery tour around greater Boston. Not only did our driver arrive on time, but he helped keep us on schedule throughout the day. A few other factors hang out around a 4 star: Customer service, contract terms/process, flexibility. Julian (the owner?) was responsive to my 101 questions leading up to our event. Withholding that 5th star as it didn't always come across as friendly and seemed like he was just answering to answer (not sure I can blame him). The contract was fair and was able to be modified. Only quam was the awkward final payment being made upon arrival of the bus driver the day of the event. I would prefer that to be taken care of ahead of time. Roman limousines came highly recommended, so it was a no brainer for us to use their services for a bachelorette party we were planning. I signed the contract which stated that the balance due would be charged to my credit card two days prior to the event. On the day of the rental, our driver informed us that we needed to pay him in cash and that the balance was not charged to the card, as our contract stated. We spoke on the phone with the owner to see if it would be possible to pay with a credit card, as initially agreed upon. Julian, the owner was not helpful on the phone and was rude. I ended up having to try to pull together the remaining balance in cash from an ATM in a nearby restaurant. Our driver was nice and polite and the bus overall was nice, we had some trouble getting the music player to work. Our driver was super friendly and upbeat the entire evening and was responsive to all our requests, including a random stop at 7-11. My fiance recently had a big birthday so I threw a surprise party for him and he repeatedly hinted he wanted a party BUS for his birthday. I did extensive research to find a bus and found bostonpartybuslimo.com, one of many websites for this company. I found the perfect 18 passenger party mini BUS which was perfect size. The booking process was ok although not secure at all. (since I work in the banking industry, I pay special attention to this). Their website was not secure and they wanted me to email a copy of my credit card. (i only sent them a copy and blanked out all but the last 4 digits for security). I will say the man was helpful. All was good until the day of the event. The bus was a surprise so I was incredibly stressed about it. The driver arrived at the scheduled time! But he wasn't driving the 18 passenger party bus. It was a Hummer Limo which fit less people! not the same thing! I was not told ahead of time of this so I was highly upset! A small disclaimer, as I found out LATER, Roman Limousine sold my contract (again something I was not told about until after) so I am not commenting on the service provided by the driver or anything that occurred DURING my rental including the quality of the bus. My review applies to my dealings with Roman Limo before and after my rental. When I told the driver I ordered a bus, not a limo, he said the bus was broken. What struck me as odd is that the limo had a different business name on it. I asked the driver to call his boss and ask for a $100 discount because it was not what I paid for (later come to find out the Hummer limo is $16 per hour less! Total of $96 for my 6 hour reservation!). The whole point to this ENTIRE thing was to get a BUS. The driver was nice and tried for me. He said his boss told him I either pay the whole amount or he were to return to the garage. Since I already collected money from friends and family I went ahead with it for now and figured I'd deal with Roman Limo on Monday. On Monday, I called Roman Limo to complain and demand my deposit back ($200). I had already paid cash for the remaining balance. They had stated that they couldn't refund me anything and that they are allowed to switch it out and gave me some story about how it cost them $100 to sell my contract and blah blah blah. My contract is with Roman Limousine and nowhere does it state they can sell the contract. Only states they can make a substitution, no specifics. On top of it, the contract is incredibly vague and general and basically lets them do a whole lot of whatever they want. In the end I will be filing a claim with the BBB and am debating filing a small claims suit. These are deceptive practices and poor customer service. read more

When me and my friends got to the meeting place, the driver was already there waiting for all of us. The bus was very clean and had everything ready for our party. We were allowed to bring and play our own music selection and this is what me and my friends liked a lot. I reserved a party bus a month in advance .When they arrived, I noticed that the audio didn't work on the bus. I pointed it out ( they make you pay for any damage) and told the Asian driver that we would set up and play our own music. The bill and terms and conditions were not clear or easy to read. Nowhere on the bill did it clearly list a date due for final payment. As with many other wedding vendors, we had a check the day of for the remaining balance. Rather than attempting to help the situation the driver told us not one person would step foot on his bus. This company also had my credit card information since I paid the deposit with it. However the company never reached out to me with an issue. Quite literally tried to rob me. I placed a reservation for a party bus over the phone on Monday. They accepted a $200 deposit. On Tuesday I called and said I no longer needed the bus (found a much better deal elsewhere). The man on the phone told me I would be charged the deposit, to which I replied that they never told me it was non-refundable. They told me "we take our policies very seriously, and we have a no refund policy." I would be fine with this, had they made me aware of the policy in any way prior to booking. I told them I would just dispute the charge with my credit card company because this was absolutely wrong and we ended the conversation. Shortly thereafter I saw an email... a receipt from these guys for $938. They charged me for the bus that I did not use. I decided I should figure out what their policies are... On the website if you click around for 10 minutes you might eventually find their contract, which states all of their "policies," including one where if you cancel within X number of days you have to pay full price. That's fine -- but I didn't sign one of these contracts and was not made aware of their policies. I called back the next morning, absolutely frustrated. I explained that I was never told the deposit was non-refundable, that I never signed a contract, and that I wanted a refund. The person I spoke with threatened that we could "settle this in court," asked me why I wanted to hurt his business by making a reservation and then cancelling it (as if that was my intention...?), said that he "didn't like the tone I was using" (but honestly, what tone would you be using if this happened to you??) and then when I said I would be leaving yelp, tripadvisor, and BBB reviews about this fiasco, along with disputing all charges with my credit card, the man on the phone said they didn't have time for this and would refund me. Did all of this need to happen? NO, it did not. Stay far away from these guys. read more

How does a company have the right to charge you and not tell you why?! The drivers do not know what to do or how to speak to customers. We were supposed to pay in cash as a final payment, however, the driver did not take the money. The manager reassured me that the driver will take it. My company rented this party bus for a corporate outing and it was a terrible experience! The driver did not pull in to where we asked so when we thought he was 20 minutes late, he was really just sitting on the wrong side of the building even though we were calling and received no answer to ask where he was. The worst part was that when we got onto the bus, the entire thing reeked like body odor. There were also about 100 fruit flies in the bus which was disgusting. We also had 27 people and could barely fit in the fleet for 26-30 people. Needless to say, will never rent or recommend them. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! The WORST customer service I have ever experienced!! Your night will be RUINED if you get PETER as a driver!! I rented a party bus from Roman Limousine for my friends birthday party. There were about 20 people going on this bus to dave and busters in providence. Since their were so many of us I asked Lulian, the owner, if it would be possible for the bus to drop us off at two locations at the end of the night. He said it wouldn't be a problem and that two drop offs are complementary and anything stops after that we would be charged an extra 15$ (which was included in the fine print on the contract). The second drop off location wasn't included on the contract so I wrote it in, signed and faxed back the contract. At the end of the night, when we were coming home from dave and busters our driver PETER would only drop us off at one of the locations. Apparently there was no communication between him and Lulian about the second drop off location. Peter was extremely rude to me and wouldn't even look at my hard copy of the contract which I had with me. He would only refer to his copy (which was on his iphone that didn't include the address of the second location which I had handwritten in). He needed verification from Lulian so I gave the office a call and no answer. We were very pressed for time so I knew if we were to convince him to drive us we would have to pay extra which I told him I was willing to pay, yet he still refused. Since the communication between Lulian and Peter was extremely poor, Peter kicked us off the bus in the middle of south boston. Mind you this was in the middle of the winter when the temperatures were in the single digits. We ended up having to find an alternative way home. The worst part of the night was Peter DID NOT complete his job yet he still got his 20% tip (since it's already included in the final price, which we paid before getting on the bus). How that's fair? I'm still trying to figure out! I was able to talk with Lulian the next day about the whole situation. He told me that he needed to hear Peters side of the story and he would get back to me. I sent him multiple emails try to follow up on the event and no response. I ended up filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Still waiting to hear back from them but as of now there has been no response from the company. I would highly suggest you to NOT use this company. They ruined the night that I spend a month to plan. I can't even imagine this happening on a special event like your 21st birthday or worst your wedding day. Save yourself the headache and go with another company. I know this is the most affordable place in the Boston area, which is why I went with them. However if you do rent from Roman Limousine request that your driver is not PETER!!!!! Include it in the contract and demand a full refund if PETER ends up being your driver. Hope this review helps people decide if you are to use this company or not. Do not use Roman Limousine! I'm with the other person who had a horrible experience. A friend and I hired Roman Limousine for our prom. We payed the deposit on my debit card and signed up to pay the balance on that card as well. They sent us two forms with the confirmation, the limo contract and a form for us to confirm whether or not we wanted to pay cash the day of the event, or credit two days before. We chose credit, signed it, and sent it off. The day of prom, the limo driver called and said he was running late. We had to run around trying to find rides to our pre-prom because we couldn't leave our cars there. Once we got there, (the limo driver met us there) the driver said he hadn't received payment for the limo and demanded the balance ($740 cash) or he wouldn't drive us. As we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves and our special night, we had to run around and try and come up with the money. We did, and we got there. The next day I had to take time out of my schedule to go get cash to pay everyone back and then change my debit card and pin number. Roman had a signed form authorizing them to withdraw $740 from my account and chose not to use it. They claimed the form had mentioned a required confirmation call, but there was nothing on the form to indicate such a requirement. Had the driver been on time, this may not have been such a big concern as we would have had time to go to the bank. Do not use this company! I set up an event for my 25th birthday, and was super excited. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews of the company. I was expecting the payment to be taken out of my credit card, but on the two days before the never took my money out. When I called the person who picked up said they don't take credit cards anymore (why is it still on the contract then) so I had to stress out the days before my event and find cash, The day of the event the bus driver texted me letting me know he was the driver and I was kind of concerned... Texting and driving? He texted me later saying he was going to be about 15 late but the weather was fine and there was no traffic . Once again more texting When he did get here he was unsure the drop off points, constantly on his phone, and after he dropped us off he was "clarifying how tips work" My friend who was sitting by the driver area kept seeing him text the whole way home. We tried to clean up the bus as much as we could but the diver kept saying that it was ok and pushed us to leave, In conclusion: I enjoyed my time with my friends but did not appreciate the attitude of the bus driver and the man I spoke with several times on the phone, as well as the outdated contract, the lateness of the driver and his constant text messaging while behind the wheel. Very dishonest company. I booked Roman Limousine for an company outing to a co-workers wedding. They were nice enough on the phone. Day of the event the bus arrived to pick up the group and it was disgusting. Cups filled with alcohol still from the last event. Drinks left behind in the cooler bin as well. The emergency hatch above was stained with what could have been blood or vomit, no one could tell for sure. The whole bus seemed like it needed a Clorox wipe. When I had spoken on the phone with Julian to book the bus he told me we'd even have a bathroom. Day of, the driver of the bus informed one of our group that the bathroom was unusable due to some issues they were having. There were no other options for a group this large last minute so everyone went on the bus. Monday I emailed them regarding our issues. No response. Tuesday I left a voicemail. By the end of the week I received a call back from Julian. Once I explained the issues he basically called our group liars by saying a bathroom was never agreed upon, the driver of the bus told him there was only one dirty cup left, and blood or vomit wouldn't be able to stick to the emergency exit hatch. He insisted the bus was clean. He said we didn't qualify for a refund, so I stated we wanted half back. He laughed at me and said no way. I asked what he would be willing to do to compensate us for the situation and he said nothing. He said he didn't care if I left a bad review or contacted the BBB. If you don't want to leave your party bus feeling like you have to get your clothes dry cleaned and that you've sat in someone else's sweat, I suggest using a different company. read more

I went with Roman Limousine because the rating they had but that doesn't mean much about this company. Our driver was great but Roman is a very dishonest and difficult owner to talk with. We rented a 22 passenger bus and a 18 passenger bus came. After our first stop at I talked to the driver to see the information on the bus to see what size passenger bus it was and make sure there was no confusion. It was uncomfortable to sit in and we had people sitting half on cup holders in the bus for room. There were 16 of us on the bus. So I called Roman and discussed my frustration about the whole situation about the smaller bus. He tells me there is nothing he can do for us with being unhappy about the bus he mistakenly sent out. At first the only option he gave me was he would give us a full refund and leave us at the brewery I was calling from. After telling him that was not an option and going back and forth. He ended up dropping of the proper size bus that was requested. Then at the end of the evening when the payment was due they added an additional amount to what was owed for tax. Which was a problem to me because before booking I asked what the total cost was and at the end of the night it was a lot more than he said before booking. I was extremely happy with the service I received from Roman Limousine. From the beginning the owner was extremely helpful. I was forced to find a Limousine company one week before my wedding because the company I had a contract with originally was unable to follow through with what we agreed upon.
