They were on time for the carpet installation and the representatives were nice people. The problem with them occurred when I noticed that there was a small issue with the installation. The carpet was put over a sliding door slot and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to reschedule multiple times with a no-show from representatives.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On reaching out to them for the reason for no-show, they told me that they removed my service ticket from the schedule without calling/texting/reaching out to me[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they dont do sliding door installs (They misunderstood my request, and didnt bother calling/reaching out to me).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also wanted me to send pictures to some email address to confirm that its a carpet issue that they have caused and not a sliding door install.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just frustrating and disappointing to work with. They stretched it in the incorrect direction, promised to return right after the holidays, and spent the last three months returning zero phone calls... Home Depot as well. We placed an order for new flooring from Home Depot and RR did the install. Our installer, Joseph Matter arrived on time and got the job completed pretty quickly and it looks amazing. He was very professional and didn't skip a beat. Installed new flooring in the living room and hallway The product is the LifeProof flooring and it's amazing. I'm updating my previous review after Joe from RR called and sent Alejandro back. After the initial install, there were areas on the Berber carpet that just didn't look right. FYI- Our previous new construction home had Berber throughout and after 16 years, it held up very well and we never had these strange ripples nor areas where the carpet edges were not up against the baseboards. I am very familiar with the seams and do not have an issue with them. I've uploaded some before and after photos for reference to show how well Alejandro was able to re-stretch the carpet to fix the problem areas. In the before stair photo, (left) you can see where the edge was fraying where they cut the carpet, didn't staple it so you could actually put your fingers behind it and the backing is showing because the Berber part came off! After all was said and done, I was happy with the time and effort Alejandro took to re-do the install. I'm docking the one star due to the lack of communication with the time frames given (see previous review) and we were left hanging and the fact that the job could've been done correctly the first time. read more

The crew was very professional. They paid a lot of attention to detail, and they all worked well together. There is one small issue; the access lid to the crawl space has a metal handle to lift the lid. The one they used is very painful to step on in bare feet. It's located in the middle of the dressing area in the master bath. Not sure what to do about that, as of now we just try to be aware of it and not step on it. read more

PROS: `-The actual installation looks great. Alex did an AMAZING job. - Jim Cary (manager) couldn't find installers for our vinyl so he gave us an upgrade. CONS: - They forgot to call me to reschedule and I only found out after I called when they didn't show up. Then they rescheduled me and didn't show a second time, finally our installer showed up on our 3rd scheduled appointment but after our scheduled window of time. - They don't appear to be super organized or maybe lack manpower since they first lost my vinyl then couldn't find workers to install it. - There was a LOT of back and forth which I had to initiate. They would say they would call to follow up with us and (with the exception of Jim) they wouldn't. By the 3rd day, they appeared irritated that I was calling - meanwhile I needed to verify that they would actually show since I couldn't afford another day of babysitters and I couldn't trust they would call me. - its small but the customer services supervisor (who forgot to call on the first day they missed) said she was sending a gift card to home depot but we have yet to receive it, If it comes in the mail I will edit this out. Went through Home Depot on this project, which, based on past experiences with HD, can sometimes be a bit of a gamble when it comes to their contractors. NOT disappointed in any way! This company is contracted by HOME DEPOT for carpet installation in my area. We ordered carpet for one room from Home Depot. They charged us ($1141.00) for the carpet and it was finally installed a month later. ROMANOFF RENOVATIONS was great initially, scheduling the installation, reminder notes, etc. until installation day when the scheduler called to tell me the installer was out with suspected COVID. I had already moved everything out of the room and put it in our living room. The scheduler sent a text that a new installer was scheduled to be at my house between 2:00-5:00 the next day...GREAT, until we waited from 2:00-5:30 and he was a NO SHOW! He finally called at 6:11pm to tell me he would be late. SERIOUSLY! Another installer was scheduled TWO DAYS LATER to show up between 11:00 and 2:00. He called at about 1:00 to say the best he could do is 4:00pm. The installer showed at 4:00 pm (alone) and did a great job (hence 2 stars) but couldn't move furniture back into the room by himself (this was part of the contract). My wife and I moved the furniture back into the room ourselves. The TAKE AWAY is DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT THAT REQUIRES INSTALLATION UNTIL AFTER COVID IS GONE (if at all)... This was a painful experience that no one should have to endure... read more

HomeDepot buyers beware! Romanoff is the contractor hired by HomeDepot to install their carpet. Day of installation, a team led by Antonio show up and immediately display a very bad attitude and start saying disparaging things about another subcontractor on-site. I get called by Antonio to tell me he is not going to install my carpet because I am not on-site, even though I was represented well. I told him to just leave the carpet and pad and I would have someone else install it. We are talking about a small 16'x16' bonus room. he refuses to leave the carpet that I had already paid for and tells me I would have go into Boise to their shop and pick it up. I get Home Depot involved and they tell me that if I go pick up my carpet that the pad will not be included that I already prepaid. After a lengthy unproductive chat with both Romanoff and HomeDepot, I ended up having to cancel the whole order minus 15%. All this after waiting a month. Then I get a text asking for follow up for Romanoff because they want to be sure that I was EXTREMELY SATISFIED and if not they wanted to rectify it. so I called them back and they couldn't have cared less. it was altogether a top 2 all time worst consumer experience of my life. mind boggling how little they tried to make anything right either at HD or Romanoff read more

Attempted to get them to help, several people said they would help out and then they ghosted me. They refused to answer phone calls, texts, voicemails. Absolutely garbage company. Ordered laminate flooring through Home Depot. They contracted Romanoff Renovations to do installation. Had issues with them from the beginning. Changed my installation date then changed it back. Finally the day came to instal the floor and this is the final results. They told me I'm out of luck and refuse to continue installation. Told me to order carpet and have them install the carpet in a couple weeks while I am forced to live in the unlivable conditions their people left behind. My dogs and family cannot live in the irresponsible mess left behind. Told me I'm out of luck and refused to finish job because it would void the warranty even though I was ok with a voided warranty. The owner shows little to no sympathy and does not care whether a job is finished or not, as long as he gets paid. Forced to hire another company and contractor to clean up the mess. Avoid this company at all costs and don't be left stranded without a home to live in and told to pretty much deal with it. Do not do business unless you wish to do business in small claims court. read more

Overall they did a very good job but there is a pretty obvious line in our main living room where two pieces came together which I am a bit annoyed about .. hopefully it goes away over the months. I will have to say I hesitated to go through Home Depot insulation because I hear more bad things than good. But this time I am so glad I overrode my first instinct. Mr. Torres was our installer and he arrived five minutes early, and got the entire house done in 7 hours. They pulled up the old carpet held and held it off they got the new carpet and padding installed and it's actually installed better than the original carpet. He took no shortcuts and just did a phenomenal job. I highly recommend these people and if I could give this company 20 Stars I would. read more

For carpet they were the worst ever! Waited 2 months for first appointment, they were over an hour late. When they did show up, I was told they were going to leave a room off and only give me a runner up the stairs. Which was not what I paid for. I went to call the company and the installers just left. Had to wait another month for them to come back and try again. First they were to show up at 8am, then 12, then 3 then 5. Finally at 5:30pm one guy showed up, an hour later 3 more showed up. They didn't get finished till 11:15pm. They forgot to replace the closet guides and you had to be careful walking up stairs because the nails were poking through. Two weeks later they were to come back and fix these problems but never showed up. I have called many,many times but at this point nothing has been fixed. Overall a bad experience and I wouldn't recommend. I ordered tile and installation through Home Depot. I waited months for the install, which I understand because everyone is busy. Fast forward to a week before the install was scheduled, they called me to tell me they had to cancel and reschedule, and couldn't get me in for another two weeks. I was frustrated because I had to reschedule my vanity, plumber, and countertops, but it happens and I tried to be understanding. When they showed up I mentioned that I was doing heated floor mats. The installers seemed like they had no idea that this was the case, even though I confirmed with Joe when he reschedule me that we would be using the heated floor mats. He even told me the tile I wanted to use was compatible with heated floor mats, but his excuse was that he thought I was just curious if it could be used or not. I specifically told him we were using the heated mats when I spoke with him and even called Romanoff before they rescheduled me and told the gal who answered the phone that I wanted to be sure we could use heated floor mats and it wouldn't be a problem. Apparently because whoever put the order in at Home Depot didn't put it in the order, when though I purchased the cfloor mats through Home Depot, they couldn't or wouldn't install my tile because of this. All other installers I spoke with have said that heated floor mats are easy to install over, just that generally it takes more thinset. I was in tears on the phone with Joe, I'm 3 months pregnant and very sick, and have no bathroom upstairs because this company refused to do our floors. I even offered to sign a waiver of some sort not holding them liable for any issues with the heated floor mats but apparently that wasn't an option. Joe made me feel like this was all my fault, wasn't apologetic and refused to do our install, even when I offered to get any necessary tools to make sure the heated floors were in working order before they laid down the tile. I have to now find a new installer and have no bathroom until I can get someone else who hopefully isn't booked months out. I would stay away from this company because it seems like if there are any hiccups or miscommunication they will not be understanding at all to your situation. read more

Installers did a good job. Hard workers, kept to the task at hand and finished in a reasonable amount of time. My only complaint is the amount of "scrap". I measured the largest pieces and estimated the smaller. Approximately 20% of the total carpet was waste. I understand that there will be waste but not 20%. I suggest spending the money and get at least two measurements. Save money....save the environment.... read more

Don't normally do a bad review, but this experience was completely unacceptable. Ordered the carpet from Home Depot, they contracted this company out of Idaho. Almost two months to get the install date, which I was fine with. I live out of state. Two days before the install, I called to confirm the install, so I could drive up the next day and clear out the home and have everything ready. Took the 3 days off work, drove up there. The day before install (after I'd driven up and cleared out rooms) I get a call that their worker had a family emergency and they had to reschedule. Unbelievable. Talk about a company that cannot handle their schedule. Tried to work through it with Home Depot, no luck. Steer clear. Poor communication, did not follow through. Got my money back, called a non-local installer (our of Utah) that I've used before and they are coming up and installing in a couple days. Can't believe Home Depot would let themselves be represented like this. Terrible experience, with both companies. read more

Romanoff Renovations was selected by Home Depot to install hardwood flooring for us. Home Depot made it clear when selecting a contractor that the new installation was to integrate to existing flooring. When they selected Romanoff, I confirmed that they knew it would be to seamlessly integrate new flooring with existing and I was assured by Home Depot that Romanoff could do it. On the day of the installation, the contractor for Romanoff arrived and said he could not do it without ripping up all the existing flooring and replacing it in order to integrate. I told him that we made it clear that this was what we wanted and were told it could be done. The Romanoff contractor said that they should have been told so they could come over in advance to check out the job site. Since it was nailed down, all the existing flooring would have to be ripped up for the integration. I told him it was engineered hardwood and that was clearly in the job and he told me there are several types. As far as I know, there is laminate, engineered hardwood, and solid hardwood. I let him go, called Home Depot and had the installation removed from our bill. I then contacted another contractor for a second opinion. Not only was the job able to be done, but the new contractor did an excellent, high quality job and we will have them back to do other work. The contractor who installed our floors said that Romanoff either didn't know how to integrate an existing, was not experienced, or both. Either way, I don't recommend Romanoff Renovations for a job of this type. read more

Absolute worst experience possible. They cancelled our install twice literally the night before. This was INCREDIBLY inconvenient as we had to reschedule plumbers, dog boarding and our own accommodations with less than 24 hours notice to those businesses. The second time they cancelled, they did not provide a new install date. I tried calling multiple times to get this info and would get routed to I believe the Idaho falls location who would then kindly track someone down in Boise for me to talk to. We finally got our tile installed today after getting management at Home Depot involved. They pulled all of our trim, no big deal but they WRECKED it and our walls and the reinstall looks atrocious. We were able to provide some new trim and they didn't measure it properly and installed multiple pieces on a small wall. There are large gaps in the trim as well. We are going to now have to pull all of it again, make repairs to the walls where they damaged them, and purchase and install new trim correctly. Quality of work is awful. Office communication is awful. If you went through home depot and didn't know this would be who you are working with, call and get your money back and hire a different contractor. read more
