My girlfriend and I's first vacation together was to Ligonier and during that first stay we got pizza from Roman's. Now every time that we order pizza here in Delaware, we can't help but think "man I miss Roman's pizzeria". We made a trip for our 3-year anniversary to Ligonier over the 4th of July weekend and of course we had to return. Roman's Pizzeria is absolutely amazing. The pizza is cooked perfectly; light flip, perfect undercarriage, and the crust is the perfect thickness so it's crunchy but not burnt when cooked. Not only was our experience great the second time around, we spoke with the owners who actually gave us a free cupcake as a congrats on our anniversary. The best gluten free pizza that I've had in my entire life! I got the cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza, and it was simply incredible. They even have vegan option, too! Delicious pizza! Love that they will cook a thin crust upon request. A five- PLUS selection this order was their oven-roasted wings (all mild buffalo with ranch to dip). These were the crowd favorite. As I write this- just started with a four star update because they omitted the two complementary toppings offered on their delicious stuffed portabella. But I think the pizza and wings push it to a 4.5, so I will round up. Because I would order again without hesitation. A bonus is you can pick up a slice to give it a try. Gross! I went in for lunch and ordered a couple slices and a salad. The pizza was mid-grade...basically the same overpriced style predominant in Ligonier. There was no ambiance other than the snooty elderly couple sharing a piece of pizza who were dressed like they were in a 1980's shampoo commercial. The server was blasé and took her time; no sense of urgency in her. What really struck me was that she didn't wear gloves whenever she made my salad! I won't be back! read more

You must eat here! The pizzas are delicious! This is a semi hidden gem as it sits back from the sidewalk but easy enough to see. So nice to have the option of pizza by the slice and the Margherita pizza is fantastic and we highly recommend the Feel the Heat pizza. This is a super clean pizzeria good for take out, dine in and it's fun to sit outside as well and take in the Ligonier atmosphere. The owners are so kind and friendly! You might have trouble finding this place because it's a bit off Main Street. However, you will find the pizza to be among the best you've ever had. We were so pleased with the slice we had for lunch, we returned that evening for dinner. The menu offers a wide selection of pizza, salads, Stromboli, and calzones. Prices are very reasonable and you have a choice between eating inside, outside, or carrying out. I did notice that they also deliver locally. The staff is among the most friendly you will ever meet and every one of the staff members went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied customers. I highly recommend Romans and I'll be sure to make this a regular stop on my future visits to Ligonier. read more

We're always interested in trying new, local restaurants and had read some positive reviews about Roman's, so we opted to order one Saturday evening. I get it...new businesses are going to have to work out the kinks. But at some point, consistent and reliable service needs to become the norm so your business is successful. I wish I could give a review of the pizza based on taste, but, sadly, I can't review what wasn't made. We ordered a large, 3-topping pizza (pepperoni, spicy sausage, green pepper) and were quoted a pick-up time in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, when I went to pick it up, the order hadn't been made. It didn't seem as if the restaurant was busy, yet there was the ticket for our pizza, hanging forlornly on the rail. Staff was apologetic, and offered to make the pizza, but I declined. With so many other options for pizza in the Valley, we'll stick to our favorites in the future. read more
