First, the bad part, the store is hot. The fans helped, but the lack of cross breeze made it stifling. I was sweaty and not about to try anything on in that condition. This is not the shop owner's fault. The day was very humid. They carry a lot of cute stripper type outfits. Good for dressing racy. They carry their own brand which is very good quality. They also carry Leg Avenue as well as a few other brands. There are a few male outfits and underwear choices. They have a wide selection of shoes. Wide selection of hose, stockings and tights as well as bras, panties, thongs, corsets. Sex toy wise, they carry the "novelty" brands as well as the Lelo line (pricey line but totally worth the extra money). They do not have a large selection, but they will likely have what you are seeking if you need basic enhancements. There is a small assortment of BDSM items for the beginner crowd. (Lifestylers will understand where to shop for the higher quality stuff, this is not your shop for that. Message me privately if you don't know already, I will not sully a review by mentioning a different store.) The shop owner was there. She is friendly and not a bit pushy. She helped when asked but did not hover after I told her I was browsing with no particular thing in mind. I enjoy helpful salespeople who do not follow you around, but do not appear so busy it seems rude to ask for advice or help. Good selection, not sky high pricing, helpful sales people. I spent just over $100 and am very happy with my purchases. This is a classy little store that women, couples or gentlemen can feel comfortable visiting. This place is small and the selection isn't extensive but the staff is friendly and the prices are great. I happened upon this shop coming back from surfing Brooks street. My girlfriend had called me to pick her up something for a bachelorette party she was going to that night when, lo and behold a few blocks up, right on PCH was this place. She wanted some boxed lingerie and party favors. The party favors were slim to none but I got what she needed. The person who helped me was really easy to talk to, didn't make me uncomfortable and was so helpful I ended up spending like $100 on stuff for my girlfriend. I have been to this store for every costume I've needed in the past few years. The reason I'm writing this review is because I'm surprised they have so few on yelp. Every sales person I've had takes as much time as I need to go through catalogs and help me adjust boots/corset, and have never made me feel like I'm a bother (I definitely know what I like and take lots of time picking out accessories, etc). They also have a full alterations and manufacturing facility downstairs, where else can you get a costume customized for you at a reasonable charge? The skirt is too short...no problem, they make it longer. I just got done picking out my Santa con costume, and for $200 I got boots, fluffy covers, furry gloves, light up skirt, bling top and hat. It is soooo cute, can't wait to wear it. Every time I go to a costume party, I get tons of compliments. read more

You can get high-end, one of a kind items as well. I have gone there last minute for outfits and gifts and am always satisfied with my purchase. They always help with ideas. Reading some of the reviews on this place honestly shocks me... I can't believe it has gotten decent reviews.. I have driven past this place many many times, and one time my boyfriend and I decided to stop because I liked the costumes in the window and on the mannequins. To start, there is no parking. Yes, I know, it's Laguna beach and it's on PCH, but there is very limited parking, and I got lucky that someone pulled out of their spot down the street. Then we walk in. Not only was I overwhelmed with the messy and chaotic set up, but I was overwhelmed by the HEAT in the shop. I went in in May, not particularly hot weather, especially by the ocean. We were uncomfortably stuffy walking around, and it did not make for a pleasant shopping experience. The searching around continues. We were greeted upon arrival, which was nice. But once greeted, we were not left alone. The shop owner (who also told us she lives there in the back of the shop) was EXTREMELY pushy on sales. I am in commission sales myself and I know when I am being 'worked' on a sale. It was an extremely uncomfortable trip. She followed us around the entire store, almost watching our every move, which was strange. It almost seemed like she thought we were going to steal because we are a young couple. She was completely wrong and it was very insulting. While she followed us around and stared us down, she also pushed me to try on things I was not interested in at all, and pushed me to buy tons of products and costumes that I kept telling her I had no need for. I tried a bikini on, it didn't fit, and she tried telling me "that's how it is supposed to fit". Like I said, I am in retail at a very high end department store, and I know when I am being lied to and 'worked' into the sale. Needless to say, it was a bad experience. The shop was hot, cluttered, small, the owner was very pushy and awkward, and some product seemed cheap. We ended up literally sneaking out of the store so the woman wouldn't bother us and ask us why we didn't buy something. Had high expectations for this shop... They do a nice presentation on the outside, and it looks very inviting, but once you go inside it is beyond disappointing. Less pushy, more genuine sales! I will not be a returning customer, mostly because it was so uncomfortable. It's a shame because there aren't a lot of costume shops around that I know of. This is a great place to shop for raves and raving outfits! Whenever I have an upcoming concert or festival, I always stop by here first. They have a huge selection of things like fluffies, onesies, sequin bras, and a wide colorful variety of wrap tops, spandex, and rave skirts. The pricing is what you would expect from a boutique, but not outrageous. A lot of the things here you can buy on Amazon for $5-$10 less, so it's not too out-of-range. This is a great store in Laguna with a wide variety of selections and good prices. They also carry J. Valentine clothing, costumes, and bathing suits, which I love and have only usually been able to get online. They can also get you J. Valentine items even if they don't have them in stock at the store. Very friendly and responsive service and the Yelp Deal for $10 worth of $20 merchandise is awesome!!
