Pros: Location, great staff, valet parking Easy to walk anywhere in Waikiki. A side road, so pretty quiet from the street. Valet is always nice and valet team are great. Beautifully decorated hotel. Cons: Someone was knocking on our door at 1am. Was an impaired person looking for someone. Once my husband told him twice that he had the wrong room, he continued on the floor knocking on doors. They should consider a card only elevator or better security. I would've panicked if I was alone. People walking in the hallway from a night out talking and it was very loud. Quiet area signs may help. Or insulated doors. In short, I wouldn't stay again since we had hardly any sleep due to the phantom knocker and loud guests in the hallway. But, cute hotel.

Adults only hotel, free of kids making it a little more relaxing. To begin, the staff at the front desk can either be very nice or passive aggressive. Ariel was very kind, welcoming and patient. Resorts fees are quite expensive if you're staying for a week but that's as expected. They have a confusing policy of what gets refunded back to your card. The hotel has a nice aroma as you walk in. Room cleaning: We were told rooms get cleaned every other day, since check in we had to wait after 2 days to get our room cleaned, then it was every other day, I'm not sure if maybe they're short staffed and it's difficult to keep up with the cleaning? I feel it's standard to have a hotel at least make the beds daily and change towels daily. When we first arrived, our room did not have the complementary shampoo and conditioner in the shower, only the body wash. It was then placed back when our room was finally cleaned. The complementary shower products, soap and lotion smell pleasant. The shower has little to no door, which gets the bathroom very wet, we were told by a different hotel staff member to use the small towel as it's a "bath mat". Our rooms shower didn't have any shelf to put our bath products down on. Not sure if lights were on a timer or motion sensor, but they would turn on and off at random times. The mini fridge is not that cold, has no freezer compartment. The water machine was down for a couple days towards the end of our trip which was a bummer since that's one of the benefits of this hotel having reusable water bottles provided. When we asked a staff member about it, he said the machine would be getting fixed that day and it still wasn't fixed unfortunately. There is no room service to order food. The beds are extremely comfortable and the air conditioning works well. Our room had a window that didn't open but had a cute little view of downtown. The pool has good hours open for availability and you can order food and drinks which is great. Personally felt like the pool was a little too warm for the summer heat everyday but it was a relaxing environment. The restaurant inside is wonderful, separate review of that :) The bar the Lei Stand was great too! The location of the hotel is extremely convenient!

I stayed here for 5 nights during my stay in Waikiki. I stayed in their standard room on the 5th floor. Here are my pros and cons of the hotel: Pros: - The location was great. It's easy to walk to the Royal Hawaiian Center and all the shopping centers - It's also not that far from the beach and they provide towels if needed - They have bike rentals if you want - The bed was comfortable enough and I slept fine - They have an onsite bar and restaurant that was pretty good - We got 2 free non-alcoholic drink cards and $100 credit to spend on whatever we wanted - The pool area was cool - They have some complementary classes and a schedule if you like but we did not participate in any of it - Elevators were quick and easy Cons: - The check-in process was painfully slow. We had to wait for the person before us and the guy who finally checked us in had to sense of urgency. He was very nice but we would have preferred faster service. - I got the standard room and the room was a little small to me and too dark - The restroom sink was small and not many places to store anything on the counter - The shower also didn't have anywhere to place your items besides on the ground. The water also kind of went everywhere if you use the overhead one. - There was no vanity area. There was a makeup mirror which I brought out to do my makeup at by where the coffee machine was but the lighting was atrocious - They don't have an on-site gym. You can go to their sister hotel which is about a few blocks away - They only have valet parking. Sometimes there is street parking but it is difficult to find - They use to be all adult but that is no longer the case Overall, it was fine for the amount of days I stayed but probably wouldn't stay here again. If you're looking for a luxe experience then this is not it but if you're looking for a spot that's in the area and easy to get everywhere then this is worth considering.

The rooms looked quite fancy and chiche, but lost it's charm due to the impractical shower panels and lack of counter space. It was a tad bit noisy due to the cloistered design of the rooms. Got some credit from the hotel and spent it in the japanese fusion restaurant downstairs. Food was decent but was a miss in my books. The dishes took it's time to get out of the kitchen and the quality of the dishes were subpar - case in point the wet and mushy pancake.

We stayed overnight after our daughter recommended it. My husband had a heart procedure in Oahu so it was a quick trip from Kona. The hotel has been open about a year and is directly across from the International Marketplace. Perfect in terms of proximity to shops and dining. We ended up having a few bites at Herringbone and Stripsteak as well as picking up great pastries. The boutique hotel couldn't have been better. Location, coziness, service. Although due to hours we didn't eat there there are two restaurants available and we will try next visit. Super friendly staff. Spent our very early morning exit speaking with the nicest gentleman who is from our hometown of Kona. Love the mid century vibe. Blessed we were able to pass on info for this great spot to all of our uber drivers and medical staff. Definitely love the kamaina rates no resort fees. Only cons no tea available in room and that small shower door as you will be cleaning up water.

So cute.

Just stayed here friday-saturday and it was such a vibe. The esthetic of this hotel is modern, luxe with it's dimmed lights ambience. Amazing customer service, the room was clean and still smelt brand new. I stayed in a 1 bedroom, king bed 1 bath. There's a beautiful restaurant in the lobby and across the lobby Romers has their own bar. The ac was great, king bed was super comfy, ample storage for a 1 bedroom with 2 guests. The food was delicious!! I'd definitely come back here again. There was a pool but i didn't get to check it out. Overall, i enjoyed my stay, i would come back here again and recommend this hotel!

Amazing place, clean, most importantly KID FREE. What a blessing, also a close walk to the local beaches and amazing food is only a short walk away! Be sure to swing by and stay for atleast a week! You'll never have enough time!

Yes, the bar and restaurant are open to the public. As a matter of fact, I would make this location my pregame spot for drinks. Affordable cocktails and spirited staff make the package.

Embassy suites Waikiki 2123…read more Bed - nice and comfy. Little movement from partner. Mattress was a Serta Perfect Sleeper Plush mattress. Hotel offers different types of pillows in the room and spare blanket in armoire. Also in the armoire is hangers, an ironing board and steaming iron, which came in handy for those wrinkled linen shirts mashed in my suitcase. The Bathroom. - one sink with a little counter top space but sufficient. The toilet was also bidet in the master bath. The shower pressure on 21st is ok but low, but it did the job. The Ac in room was awesome! It gets super cold, if you need it, quickly. It was nice for those hot humid days of walking in Waikiki. It had an In-room mini fridge and bar sink with 4 real drinking glasses, which I like. Hated there was no freezer in the mini fridge But the bell hop station offers to freeze ice packs, or whatever you need, for you. We had 3 sliding doors with west views and moderate views of Waikiki beach. The Second bedroom has own bath with also a single sink, toilet and shower- No bidet. The room/bedding/bathrooms were clean with no mold in the showers. The furniture showed a little wear but nothing excessive. The Elevators were fast! The pool, mangers reception and breakfast are all on the 4th Floor (terrace level). Breakfast was typical of Embassy Suites, I like the made to order omelette which makes it much better. Lots of fresh fruit and even some miso soup and other Japanese/Hawaiian offerings. The Staff was awesome and super friendly. I Used valet every day. Great service, fast and practical IMO but hard to swallow the daily fee. The hotel was attacked to the Waikiki beach walk. Island vintage coffee was a regular stop for coffee and sometimes breakfast. Order coffee or food to go online after 8am to save a ton of time standing in line. Hotel was Very close to all ththe shops. Awesome location. Much better location than Hilton Hawaiian village location!!! Our fav restaurant close by the hotel was Kana Pilla and Monkey Pod, which were across the street. Make sure to make Open Table reservations for both way ahead of time. I did mine 2 months out. Housekeeping willing to clean and supply new towels daily however linens are not cleaned but every 5 day, unless you request it, which they are happy to do! Views from 21st floor were awesome and all 21st floor rooms had extensive balconies. 3 sliding doors. Keep in mind Ac doesn't work, yes the fan blows, when the doors are open!! It's too humid at night to sleep with them open so we had them open for select times, mostly am. There's a Washer/dryer laundry room on site, 3rd floor only. It was Very convenient especially packing 4 days of clothes for a 10 day trip so our suitcases weren't stuffed . Use laundry room on sundays/mon or late evenings when people are too busy arriving and leaving. $5.25 to each wash load and I think $4.75 to dry. Washers only wash with cold which I like. Perm press on dryer seemed to dry all our shirts and socks well. We hung our nice Aloha shirts on the hangers in the room and they dried within a day. Washer and dryers take credit cards. Yes they're is a soap machine that also takes credit cards. I didn't use and just bought soap from ABC. ABC stores are EVERYWHERE so don't lug around suntan lotion or waters in your suitcase. Just buY at ABC which is only 20 steps away. FYI ABC doesn't no GIVE out bags for items unless you spend over a certain amount. ANC bags cost like .50 cents. ABC has Awesome poke and alcohol (spirit and beer) choices. Yes single purchase tall beers too. Don't forget the free brief fireworks show in front of the Hilton Hawaii Village on Friday nights only. We saw them set off at 7:45p by the lagoon. It's amazing how many people attend so be prepared for the crowds to and from. Big tip: make open table reservations for all your restaurants months ahead! All places are super busy until about 8:45 pm on most nights. Hope I helped.

Halepuna Hotel This…read moreis a review of my experience staying at the Halepuna Hotel, located in Waikiki. I booked my stay via Costco Travel recommendations. WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. The services and amenities provided were excellent. I can't wait to visit again soon! Mahalo Halepuna Hotel!

We're not high-maintenance travelers--we simply appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time together, and every stay here creates lasting memories. One of our favorite conveniences is the ABC Stores on the property. They're reasonably priced and have surprisingly good sushi and poke bowls for a quick meal. This summer visit was noticeably busier than our fall stays. The pools were definitely crowded, and the village was packed with tourists. While people say tourism is down, that certainly wasn't our experience--it felt very lively throughout our stay. Instead of driving, we used Lyft to visit the Waikīkī International Market Place, which ended up being much cheaper than paying for parking and was well worth it. During this trip, we stayed in the Kalia Tower and loved our room's view overlooking the ocean, lagoon, harbor, and even the marketplace below. My husband also enjoyed using the fitness center. He mentioned it was busiest in the mornings and mid-afternoons, so evenings seemed like the best time to work out. One of the highlights of our stay was our daily feathered visitor--a pigeon that stopped by to greet us every day, which became a fun little tradition. One of the important standards I look for in a hotel stay, is a focus on supporting locals. For me, if there's a Starbucks in the lobby, then I'm already disappointed. This hotel has one of my favorite local chain cafes, Honolulu Coffee Company. The only local café that has consistently made perfect crema foe decades. Starbucks baristas are not trained for this. The hotel also has restaurants with lots of local flavor. The sushi buffet is amazing but difficult to get a reservation on the weekends. 100 Sails also has a buffet though ordering ala cart seemed like the best choice for us. We booked the Club Premier package, and we felt it was worth it because breakfast at 100 Sails Restaurant on the 3rd floor was excellent every morning. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is not included with your stay and must be paid for separately, which is something to factor into the overall cost. One big concern was the snacks on the 5th floor. We came across moldy bread, which was definitely concerning. I would think the staff would check the food before putting it out, especially considering this is not a cheap hotel. I loved that we could grab coffee every morning from Honolulu Coffee without having to leave the hotel. The lines can get long, but the service is fairly quick. The staff, overall, were not very welcoming and often seemed serious. However, on Monday, June 29, there was an older woman who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She really stood out and made us feel appreciated. One other issue was that the body wash in our room was never refilled, so we ended up not having any during our stay. We also requested a later check out and our key cards aren't working. The front desk never mentioned anything about need to change keys cards if we had a later check out and now we're outside our rooms having to go back downstairs and change our key cards. And they were making it complicated because they wanted my drivers license even though it's in the room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the beautiful views, great amenities, and delicious breakfast made it a memorable family vacation.

Instead of calling housekeeping I went directly downstairs to the front desk. Front desk personnel were busy as there were only 2 people assisting the long line of quests. I decided I'll just deal with the room uncleanliness later. Please be advised that I did take pictures. Once I checked out on Sunday, March 8th, I advised the front desk personnel my concerns. The manager Ira listened to my concerns as I showed her my pictures. She immediately apologized and ask that I email the pictures to their corporate office. Which I did once I arrived back to the mainland. In the room there's a finger or toenail clipping on the carpet between the console and couch. Also you can also see that portion of the carpet has not been vacuumed. The clothed bench in front of bed was extremely stained and filthy. So filthy that I covered the bench with a bath towel if I needed to sit down. Also the refrigerator was very dirty. I chose not to put any food items in the fridge because of this. Also the bottom of the toilet is stained with either fecal matter, urine or maybe it's rust. If so, clean it then use caulking. These are the concerns I have with room 403. Hopefully I'll be hearing from upper management in regards to my unpleasant stay in room 403. The best part of staying at this hotel was the show Auana which is located at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, Grace went above and beyond to make sure our check-in experience was seamless and welcoming. Traveling with elderly parents can sometimes be challenging, but she handled everything with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. She was incredibly attentive to our needs, thoughtfully ensuring that our rooms were convenient and comfortable for everyone in our group. I slept like a baby in the king sized bed! I also liked how there was a small kitchen with cookware and a microwave. We were celebrating a minimoon and were gifted a bottle of champagne, a bar of chocolate, and a lovely fruit platter. Service was impeccable, from check-in to dining to pool service. Breakfast was included in our stay and the food was quite impressive. Not only do you get the breakfast buffet, but you get to order as many small plates as you'd like (mind you, they're already quite filling), and one large plate. You can also take your leftovers to go. Honestly, I would eat breakfast and be set until dinner most days. At the pool, they also brought around ice cream or smoothies to keep guests refreshed. They did so pretty frequently. The pool was also never super busy, which was nice as we just came from another hotel where the pool was constantly packed. You do get a small view, but it's mostly blocked by other buildings. There's a decent gym that also was never super busy. It's on the same floor as the spa. We contemplated treatments, but ultimately never went.

Great location, very accessible to stores and the beach, and also secluded in a sense you're not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. We came as a family of three. Not only did they gave us a warm welcome, but they provided plenty of accommodations for our baby. A baby robe which was the cutest, but also a diaper genie baby bath tub and toiletries. We were so impressed! The room views were amazing and our room was upgraded which was a super plus! Breakfast was amazing! Our favorites were their mochi pancakes. They did have construction during our stay, but nothing to really get in our way. The service and accommodation were amazing! Thank you for our great stay Ka La'i! See you hopefully soon!

The service from the front desk to the cleanliness of the rooms was just amazing! I also enjoyed how there were plenty of elevators to go to the hotel rooms and it was in one section. Super easy to find everything and overall I enjoyed my stay. The room itself was clean and modern, and the view was spectacular. I went to the pools which even have an adult-only pool area as well. I tried paddleboarding yoga one morning. Overall if you wanted to relax and chill in the hotel you could do it and it is walkable to all the shopping and food places in Waikiki. Would totally reccomend people to come to this hotel. A very centralized location and awesome spot.

There is no room in the adult pool area, people put towels on chairs and walk away and there's no chairs left for anyone else to use. It's fine to sleep here but it's a hassle to not have anywhere to sit down or lay out because it's so crowded or people just leave their dirty towels everywhere and hotel staff doesn't monitor to remove them until end of day. also we found a used tooth brush in our room! gross! Hawaii is beautiful, the hotel is not.
