It started with walking into a restaurant at noon in a very busy mall and it was about 85% empty. Shortly after being seated the server came by with menus and took our drink orders. They came fairly quickly , but we weren't ready to order. Once we ordered, our food took quite a while to arrive. When it did, it was very disappointing. Our server Alysha really made our visit. She was bubbly, knowledgeable about the menu, and did a great job checking up on us even though she was the only server there. We stopped in for a late birthday lunch for my daughter, and she really made her feel special. The interior is modern and bright, and there is outdoor seating as well. Romers is a solid choice for burgers in the area. Plenty of TV screens showing a variety of sports which is fun. The bonus here is kids meals are only $5 all day!! Can't beat that anywhere. Chicken strips and fries are a staple, there's also a spaghetti Bolognese which didn't go down so well with our child due to all the "bits"! But they offer quite a few things and some good brunch specials. $10 Benedict's anyone? Its family friendly so we'll be back for sure. We stopped by for their $10 early bird door crasher special. Drink was included with the eggs benedict, potatoes and fruit. The special was available from 10-11 am. I was surprised the restaurant was not busy as this was a great value. Food tasted delicious. Egg was pouched soft as requested. There was a good amount of hollandaise sauce and ham. Potatoes were nicely seasoned. Cantaloupe slices were sweet. I had orange juice as my drink of choice. Lastly, service was excellent. Staff checked up on us regularly. It was our first time and it will not be the last. The service offered by Casidy was very diligent, courteous and professional. The menu and culinary are excellent . I took my family here on February 1, 2025 for a birthday celebration. our group was a group of nine. All of us enjoyed the amazing menu which was their 2026 Dine Out Vancouver offerings. I enjoyed the chicken Bellagio that Connor a server had highly recommended, and I was not disappointed at all. Jaden was our server and she did a fantastic job with all our various needs and requests. There were no complaints and everyone left happy and full. I thoroughly enjoyed the starter I had as well, which was a ahi tuna tataki and finished the dinner off with a delicious chocolate mousse!!! I love supporting my local restaurants. Went to this place to try a nice local place that still had a decent happy hour that ended at 6!! The server was nice, and the restaurant was beautiful so great ambience. The food was a let down though Nachos that I was told would be spicy had a sweet flavour to them (must have been the Romero Sauce I was told), and the sour cream That came with it was flavoured with dill - not a great flavour combination. The guacamole (which you pay extra for) was very bland. The chicken wings did not taste fresh And we didn't even finish them. The mini burger and fries were good From the kids menu. I was disappointed as I told the server my thoughts and nothing was adjusted. I would have expected maybe to be given a Discount of a free guacamole side but nothing. My husband & I always enjoy our Romer visits. The front half of the place has an almost a pub-like social feel to it (especially when sitting at the bar), while the back half looks better suited for more intimate meals. LOVE the mushroom burgers and the great benny breakfasts. We like sitting at the bar, enjoying the welcoming ambience offered (Nicole's, for one!) and listening to and joining in with the chat and banter between staff and guests. read more

Wow, what happened to your award winning burgers? We went for lunch. One salmon burger with Old Bay seasoning? There was a sliver of salmon completely void of any seasoning along with a white condiment that we couldn't identify, due to the lack of flavour. The standard burger was the same, no seasoning on the meat, no flavour in the sauce. Too much lettuce, tomatoes, onions and stale bun. With all of the fixings you could barely find the hockey puck (but thinner)sized burger. Top that off with the chipped plates and two inch crack in the beer glass. We had to request a shot in lieu of drinking the 3/4 of a 16 oz beer. Lunch was $100 and the only reason we tipped and gave one star was that our server was ok. Sad to say I will never taste a Romer's burger again. read more

well, it has been a year or so since the last disastrous meal at Romers so we thought things would have gotten better, but no. The waitress was pleasant but didn't know her menu at all. we waited 45 minutes for our meal and then one was missing and that took another 20 or so minutes and it was just a kids waffle. Then it came covered in whipping cream and he is allergic to dairy. most restaurants ask if anyone is allergic to something. They offered to get him another but we didn't have the time to wait another 20 minutes. There was no butter on the toast and they don't even have any jam at all. 2 of the 6 of us have stomach aches and one has diarrhea. I could say more but...Guess we will never go back. read more

Paid my bill with cash, told her a certain amount which included her tip and she brought back the amount I said to make the total bill instead and then kept a 57% tip.....when I brought this to her attention and I wanted my money, she got all snippy with me so I told her to just bring me my entire amount of change ... I really wanted to like this place, as Lynn Valley desperately needs more dine-in restaurant options. Service was friendly but slow. It took half an hour to get our drinks, so long that the manager came over to apologize and comp'd one of them because after the long wait we found out it wasn't available. Appreciated, but didn't really solve the issue. The place was less than 1/3 full so it's not like they were slammed. The food was averagely priced and averagely good. Decor was averagely nice. The menu is huge - not sure how they could excel at any one dish with so many offered. My advice to them would be to train their staff better, slim down the menu by half, and perfect a few good dishes you can't find anywhere else. Overall not a bad meal, but I probably won't be back any time soon. read more

Noticed this restaurant only has 2-3 star review average and thought I should add our experience to help "up" it a bit! When it first opened we went there to check it out and it wasn't great. Service wasn't good, food wasn't good, etc. We gave it a couple of months to sort out the teething problems and then went back to try it again. We have now dined there on several occasions and each time the food has been perfectly good, the service has been great, and the ambiance is good. If you've had one bad experience there, give them another chance - things have improved from when they first opened. read more

Went for lunch with a few friends. Seating was comfortable, nice skylights and wonderful service. The manager was going around checking on everyone to make sure they had a good experience--which was a nice touch and make the visit feel special. There were lots of delicious looking vegetarian/vegan options too. However, our meals were quite lackluster. My friends burger was good, bit I felt like eating something simpler and opted for the margarita pizza. The crust (generally my favorite part) was quite burnt, which made me hesitant to even eat it. The pizza lacked any and all flavor and the cheese was kind of grainy?? With a few adjustments im sure it could be delicious. Since my friends orders seemed well enough, I settled for that and enjoyed our experience anyways. If you go here eat the man's man burger! Seemed to be a hit. Absolutely terrible! We waited over an hour for our food and it came out wrong and missing a ton of ingredients. I didn't even get the burger I ordered and they did nothing about it. The server came over and asked if the manager came to speak to me and I said no... and no one ever did come to see me lol. My dad's burger had no mayo or sauce on it. I ordered the deadly cheeseburger and I got a double patty with pickled onions and cilantro.... And no cheese.... Drinks took 30 minutes to come to the table. The place was almost empty, service incredibly slow. We ordered Mac and cheese to go and when we opened it the next day there was no cheese ...... will never go back. Worst Romer's ever. I was excited to try a new restaurant in our community. In the end, the experience was less than desirable. The reservation booked through the Roamers website was not connected with the restaurant, and the hostess was quick to point out that others had a shared experience. Fortunately (or unfortunately) they had a table to accommodate our group of three. It continued downhill from there. We arrived at 7:00pm and our meals arrived at 8:30pm. Both the server and Manager were very apologetic, and in the end our meal was complementary. The food quality was about a 4 out of 10. In my opinion, the menu is too large; which might be the reason why it was hard to send out food in a timely manner. I agree with a previous review that it is too loud. I was equally surprised Roamers has other locations. Other than staffing challenges, bugs should have been ironed out before they opened. I feel sorry for our service. Of the other two dishes that we received only one (the burger) was enjoyable. The manager removed the unsatisfactory items from our bill so that was positive. Unfortunately by then the damage was done. We felt sorry for our server. One might think this was just "growing pains" except with other Romers already established that doesn't make sense.
