Went there for dinner tonight since we have always loved the food and they have gluten free options but we were greatly disappointed. Service was slow, my husbands pizza was burned to the point of cardboard texture and the promise of a 30% comp for the burned pizza was not given. It was so busy the server never checked in on us and our water glasses were never refilled. In all fairness the restaurant servers were understaffed and the kitchen was over staffed. The food was behind. Part of my meal didn't come until we were half way done. We also waited an hour for food due to the kitchen being backed up because the servers couldn't get the food out fast enough. read more

Quite nice, casual, personally I prefer it to the "Leading national competitor Larger Chain Restaurants". Review basted off earlier today lunch, Fettuccine Alfredo, house salad,Daily squash onion soup, Garlic bread half plate etc... Prices are quite reasonable. Waitress was helpful and attentive! Nice place I need to remember that its worth the trip from Woodinville and or when I am in and around the Kirkland Totem lake area! Honestly also my favorite part of the Restaurant is the interior decorations and classic art paintings of the walls and more etc... If one sits in the booths in the back, they have Large to giant windows, to look at the totem lake mall area etc... Conclusion what I have known for years Deceptively quite good for price and convenience, especially by comparison to the national competitor chains in reality, Example: "Why wait an extra 40 min on top having already made a reservation translation overpriced: disappointed and hungry", when one can go to Romio's Instead and have a nice experience instead! I left pretty stuffed with leftovers. -Ultimately I prefer Romio's to national chain for the most part. read more

The food was very good. My husband had a calzone sandwich and could only eat a 1/4 of it. I had fettuccine alfredo with a side salad and garlic bread. Took home a slice of tiramisu, but it was gone before I even got home. With diet sodas and tip, we spent just over $60. Our new to go to restaurant in Kirkland. read more

They take phone orders and have you park, call, and deliver the order to your car. Romio's take-out was almost as good as dining-in which says a lot; given pasta and other foods that ordinarily don't travel well (in my opinion). Food was delicious and the packaging kept it hot. An extremely uncomfortable two minutes. We came in to try it - after two years of living in the area and struggling to find decent pizza we caved, despite warnings from friends, and went to Romio's. Immediately we were ambushed by a very aggressive server, who told us to take a seat. We had wanted to order carry-out, but were never given the option. After a minute, we stood up to go look at the menu board despite the strange forcefulness of the server, and she stood next to us, hands clasped, and STARED. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. When the staring turned into a legitimately dirty look, we left. Found this place one rainy day recently, and needing lunch. It was 11:15 Wednesday. I was greeted by a lovely lady who said she was from Bulgaria. Well as an Englishman in America, and with a brother in Varna (Bulgaria), I ordered lunch. The salads are as fresh as they are in the Mediterranean. Italy, Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria and even Hungary. The pasta was incredible for a lunch portion. Cooked perfectly, as was the sauce. Fresh bread and Lemon water. And so, I took my girlfriend here on a Friday night - wine, salad and more. She loved it. This place is better than many restaurants that charge three times or more. If you are looking for a light lunch or hot pasta in the evening , you must try this family run restaurant. read more

Romio's pizza is pretty good. If I get a large pepperoni and red onion pizza, it's about $20, which I think is a little pricey. The delivery takes a while (they quote you 45 minutes on average), but it's always hot and the delivery person is friendly. When I've dined in, the service has been really good. I think it's a little more on the expensive side for what it is, but it's a decent spot to get your Italian fix on. There certainly are many better Italian spots in the area, but I choose Romio's often for convenience. The parking lot can get pretty crowded, but there's ample parking on the lower level. Go online and look for deals they are offering, and if you intend on being a regular, get a punch card. Not a bad place, but could be a lot better and not as expensive. read more

Our family was very disappointed with our meal tonight. In the past, we have enjoyed the pizza and wings. The last couple times we have ordered have been disappointing. Romios has been very inconsistent lately. In the past, the wings are usually full of meat and have lots of sauce on them. As soon as we looked at our order we knew the wings were different. They were very breaded and had no sauce. They gave us 2 small ranch containers for 20 wings. I understand things change but when you pay so much for quality, it is disappointing. I love this place. It has a homey feeling and the food never really disappoints. I think that a good pizza needs a good crust, and I love the crust of their pizzas. It resembles the floppy New York style but in a more proportional size, not too doughy or the kind that is too hard and cuts up the roof of your mouth. The food has that home cooked feel and taste. The price is higher than your typical delivery chain, but the quality is what you get and I think it's a fair deal. Pros: Good pizza with good dough- A nice place to sit in and eat- the price is worth the food quality. The cons- the parking lot can be a challenge at busy times- the service can be a little slow so don't eat here if you are in a rush or on a time crunch. read more

The Chop Chop Salad is my favorite! I think I eat this at least once month. Their homemade creamy italian dressing and the fresh basil are the perfect finishing touches on this salad. I usually order this salad with some pesto or cheese bread which is also good. Their pizza is also good, which I've ordered when entertaining guests. Their service has always been great and they remember my order when I call them directly for takeout. One little note: The calzones I've tried and hate to admit wasn't too impressed, I just wish their were heartier, not as hollow when cutting into them. I'm pretty sure they just served my friend and I some rotten chicken in our pasta. It tastes awful and looks like it may have been cooked with motor oil. There's literally black stuff on the underside of it; extremely unappetizing and something about it tastes very off. I didn't eat it because I felt this was a recipe for food illness. *Edit* I tentatively tried a few bites of various gluten free items since this review, and had no reaction. So I'm updating this. I still think to tread carefully, idk why I had those first reactions. However, it seems to be a fluke. Yay! 5 stars for non gluten free otherwise.... I want to love this place, I really really do. Their food is delicious. Twice I have ordered for delivery, and both times have had severe Gluten reactions from "gluten-free" items. I have Celiacs and it doesn't lie when I'm up all night long never leaving the restroom. I thought the first time was a fluke, and here I am a month later with the same horrible reaction to a completely different gluten free menu item. For the non-gluten free, this is a 5 star place; great food, great delivery, ok prices. If you're medically sensitive to gluten, I recommend proceeding with caution. If I brave it again and it changes, I will update this review. read more

I ordered a meal from Romio's through GrubHub tonight. The food was delivered 20 min early, and it was hot. I ordered a chicken, goat cheese, pesto, sun-dried tomato and walnut pizza and a caprese salad. Everything was just okay... The pizza was a bit imbalanced with too much gorgonzola cheese, too little Parmesan, too much oil over pesto and too little chicken, but the crust edges were delicious. A piece of garlic bread came with my meal, but it was nothing more than a glorified, elongated, buttery crouton. The caprese salad was fresh; the tomatoes and basil were tasty, but the dressing needed a balsamic kick or something to bring the dish beyond one bland note. I might order from here again, but I'd likely get a more traditional pizza with red sauce, cheese and meat. PS- I love GrubHub read more

We have been dining at or getting delivery from this Romios for 7 ish years. I have given them nothing but positive tips and reviews. Tonight was such a colossal f*** up that I am changing my review. To meet order minimum, I ordered 2 sets of cheese garlic bread & meat sauce. So paid the minimum, paid extra for meat sauce and then tip. I might as well have ordered a regular pizza from ANY pizza joint in 3 zip codes. At least half the bread on each order had no cheese. This is a quite common occurrence over the years there. But it always seemed like such a petty thing that we never called, commented, complained, etc. But having never ordered meat sauce I didn't know what to expect. But I sure didn't expect around 5 pieces of ground beef in a small container of marinara. It wasn't even enough sauce for the bread. When you order just the bread sticks you get 2 containers. Again, I would have let it go but the more than competent delivery driver noticed it wasn't enough sauce. So he drove back for more. I got a rude phone call from one of their employees saying I had to pay extra for more sauce. And when I commented on the lack of meat she got even more rude. Bla, bla, bla. I have never had such a bad experience - bad food and even more bad customer service. All the little negative things we have overlooked for years plus tonight add up to - never going back or getting delivery from this establishment again.
