Made the mistake of switching companies a yr ago to a "snake oil" company. Their products DID NOT work, I was constantly calling them to come back for re-treatment. I am almost positive they water down the product! But, after signing a 12 month contract what can you do but wait it out? As soon as that contract was done I was on the phone with Romney! I've been very pleased with their Sentricon Termite product and monitoring. I had an inspection in July 2017. Almost 2 years later, the bait trap showed activity. I was given a written report and an email showing a photo of what was found. I'm so glad I called Romney for Termite service. I've also used them for quarterly pest control services. Our experience with Romney Pest Control has been a total disaster. We previously used another company, but were interested in seeing whether Romney could provide more responsive service and better results than our previous pest control company, so we agreed to switch to Romney after a visit from a sales representative. Our issue has been, primarily, wasps. The first person that came out to treat our property was unprofessional in his appearance and demeanor, showed up with a cigarette in his mouth, and left that used cigarette on our property after the service. The treatment did not improve our wasp situation. The second person (different employee) that came out to readdress the wasp issue treated the property and then assured me that he had verified there were no wasp nests on the property, and therefore if we saw any more wasps then it must be because the neighbors have them (we have verified with both of our neighbors that they do not have problems with wasps). Later that day, I went around the side of the house for something, and happened to look up to see a huge wasp nest under the second floor window. We called the previous employee back out who then came and knocked down the nest. I can only conclude that if he missed such an obvious and active wasp nest when he was called to my home specifically to treat wasps, that he was simply not doing his job with any kind of effort or attention to detail. In the days since that last treatment, our wasp problem has gotten worse and expanded form the side and back of the home to right by our front door. There is absolutely no indication that Romney's treatments are effective at all against them, even though they repeatedly assure us that it should keep them away for 90 days. It could be that their employees are showing up and not doing what they tell us they're doing. I don't know--either way, we're paying money and getting bad customer service and no results. We intend to switch to a new pest control company ASAP and, based on our experience, highly discourage anyone else from using this company. read more

I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone in the past week from Romney Pest Control. After a few unanswered calls during regular office hours, someone answered and apologized that the phones weren't operating to par, before the line was cut. Since then the same outgoing recording has been playing. I've tried a variety of numbers, and just recently completed the online form. Does anyone happen to know a way to contact them for service? If not, perhaps the company would be able to post a response re: their phone lines or post a note on their website? Look forward to working with this company based on reviews and a family referral, but just need to be able to contact them first! Thanks for any help. Appreciate it! read more

While I unfortunately decided to discontinue service with Romney, I was pleased by their understanding of my reasoning and professionalism in closing my account and cancelling my contract. They did make an offer to come back out but it was not something I was personally interested in. They took the time to calmly speak to me and handle my concerns. I assume my bad service came from an oversight on the tech who came out, and I would not say it is a reflection of their company as a whole. They are a safe company to deal with and if you have an honest concern, they will handle it politely and professionally. 5 stars for communication, -1 Star for the service rendered. read more

We are new to the area and a friend recommended Romney Pest Control. When I called to set up the service, I spoke with Reba. She was very friendly and helped me get my account set up easily with an online service agreement that I could sign electronically. She also explained the service plans they offer. I was very happy that they were able to service my home quickly because I had some insect issues to address. Louis, the technician, was also friendly and very knowledgeable. I felt like he went out of his way to ensure that I understood what my service entailed and how it would work. I have had a pest control contract in EVERY house I've lived in and I would say, Romney has exceeded my expectations at this point. read more

Service is fine, but there's no out on their contract or ability to cancel. We ended up getting billed, completely unauthorized, for $782 left on the "contract" without services rendered after putting the account on hold due to a local move. It was refunded and we ended up having to use them for the completion of a two year contract. My fault for not reading the fine print and assuming the guy who signed us up was telling the truth at the door (I asked "so can we cancel if we need to?" "Yes, just need a 30 day notice..."). Billing my card without my permission was incredibly unprofessional and shady. read more

We accepted their "program" for paying $40 a month for quarterly spraying and on-demand service. Total waste of $40 a month - called t with them with complaints on little flying fruit flies all over the house. ThE guy showed up, sAid rhere was reallyy nothing he could do, left a bunch of stinky cups around my house, and left a mess on my porch. Super annoyed. read more
