This company was absolutely horrible. We didn't see any bugs around our house but thought it would be a good preventative measure. Since they treated our house, we have had an ant infestation in our laundry room, bugs all over our house, at least 10 fire ant hills, and numerous other problems. Do not order their service - I'm 99% positive that they sprayed sugar water all over our house and yard. read more

They do a very thorough job the first time, clearing out anything on the outside of your home and really spraying everything down well with the treatment. Also spray everywhere on the inside. At first you may see some dead bugs because they are clearing them all out. After the first time you need to request the inside be done too. We have requested this every time and it works well, but think it should be automatic. They also apply a granular treatment on the lawn for ants and it works but gets washed away after raining and you need to request re-treatment. They have been good about coming out extra when needed and guarantee you will have no problems. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is you need to stay on it and make the requests for more to keep things good. read more

Every time Justin has come to our house he has been very professional. If I had any questions or concerns has addressed them all. One time he even had to come back to the house because he had to go back to the shop to get the correct chemicals for our backyard. We are on a maintenance program with them and couldn't be happier. read more

I have been using Romney Pest Control in Lewisville, TX for about 2 years. Their technicians are top notch! They are always very professional and when they come inside my home, they are always use the utmost care for our belongings and children. I would trust our usual technician, Paul, in our home even if we were not at home. Sometimes when the weather changes and more bugs come out, Romney will come back out for a "re-treatment" at no charge, class act. Only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the price of services, especially for mosquito service. read more

Worst pest control EVER!! Every time they come service my house I have to call and make them come back 1- they NEVER treat the ant beds 2- they are NOT pet friendly AT ALL! 3- They leave a total MESS on the porch and around the house - I have to sweep everything before I can let my animals out. 4- Unprofessional - the guy had the nerve to argue about the service, when I was in the house and watched him NOT do my whole yard- as expected! Nice an efficient technician who kept me well informed.

I have been using Romney for about 18 months now (quarterly treatments) - since I moved into my house. They have done a great job in ensuring that there are no wasp nests around my house (there were quite a few when I moved in, the house had been vacant), treats any ant mounds before they get out of control, and that the inside remains pest free. Anytime I've had an issue or concern they have been out within a couple days to treat. My only complaint is that they automatically schedule my next visit without letting me know until the night before. If I am not/can not be home for the inside to be treated then they are more than willing to come back though. The only improvement I could request right now is that I would like to be notified in advance, or have a specific time frame/day for my appointment to be scheduled so I know will be home. Especially since I am on a recurring treatment plan. This wouldn't keep me from using their service or referring someone though. read more

John Hairel did an excellent job explaining what he saw regarding termite activity. He knows more about termites and their habits than I thought was possible to know (The Termite Whisperer...). He explained our options to rectify the situation. He was thorough and presented options that were not "high pressure" or "scare tactics" to get us to buy the Sentricon protection. Attention make sure that you read this. The salesman that was working our neighborhood came to my door and asked us to do Pest Control. I told him specifically that we did not want to do contract Pest Control. He said as a part of the special door to door program he would waive the typical contract as long as we signed up for the first treatment and we could cancel at anytime. Now that I'm trying to cancel the company's telling me that we have a 12 month contract and if we cancel they are going to bill us 80% of the contract price. Apparently Romney pest control does not stand by the word of their salesmen and are trying to extort money from us as customers. I have contacted Tammy at the company and told her repeatedly that this is what the salesman told us and they are still trying to extort money from us. Please make sure you do not use this company for service because they are very dishonest. read more

I have been with Romney for several years and have dealt with many issues from their service. I finally had to cut the cord. I have had to follow each person through my house to make sure they didn't take anything, had a guy on my front porch telling me he is ill and won't allow me to call an ambulance or romney to tell them he was ill, he was worried about getting fired, had a guy do the inside of my house then he went and sat in his truck for 30 minutes, yes its on video, then he sent me the bill on their new app. Now instead of leading the industry they have joined the other half azz companies in just sending you a message saying they are coming out and will do the outside but if you want the inside done you need to call. So from a guy doing half the job and it being wrong they now make it a standard operation. Wow what a concept, full pay for half a job. This is so sad to see companies doing such a poor job. read more

I had an interesting experience with Romney this morning. I heard my door knock while I was eating lunch with my family, and a young gentleman was at the door with his Romney attire - flat-bill hat and polo. He started to describe what he does and who else uses them in my area. He talked about their service and showed me some reviews. He went on talking about their ratings and how well they have done and what types of chemicals they use. I knew it was a sales pitch, which I'm fine with being in sales myself, so I expected the "today only, door-to-door" special. I also expected some push back when I told him I would need to talk to my wife since we are on a budget and are trying to figure out the right pest control to use for our family since we just ended a contract with our previous pest control company. What I didn't expect was that he was riding a scooter throughout our neighborhood and trying to makes sales - seemed a little odd to me. The kicker was that when I asked him for a business card and some more information (like a pamphlet or brochure), he said "No." As in he didn't have any business cards to give more or brochures to hand out. What salesman doesn't have business cards so people can follow up with you if they have questions or would like to start a contract?!? I was actually interested in using them, until I got a smug look from him when I asked that question like I was an incompetent person. He started strong, but definitely left an impression of distaste. So, after he left I did some research of Romney and called their local office. I really just wanted to know if this guy was even an employee of theirs since he couldn't have been more shady at the end of his sales pitch. Come to find out this guy is their top salesman in the area and a very close relative to the owner. It didn't speak well of the rest of their sales team and not a great representative of the company. This seemed to reflect poor customer service for the company. The offer seemed sweet but left a bitter aftertaste. read more

Contacted them about an ant problem in my office. They were in my office 5 times during a period of 2 months and I still have ants. Each time a different tech. I called and told them that I was sorry but if they could not help me exterminate them, I would have to call somebody else. They gave me a story about a warm winter and sent me a final demand for payment. Was that a good service? read more
