Unfortunately Mr. Esparza was unwilling to work with me and my family when I purchased a home in 2012, despite many years of loyalty to State Farm and Mr. Esparza as my insurance agent. Mr. Esparza personally conducted an inspection of the home and decided that, despite the home being in the same or better condition than homes in the same neighborhood, despite being less than 20 years old, and despite the fact that other homes were insured by State Farm in the same neighborhood, I needed to make more than $10,000 in improvements to the property in order to have the privilege of State Farm's insurance coverage. He unilaterally presented this information to underwriting so my policy was instantly denied, rather than discuss the information with me, and relevant laws that applied to the home, which was adjacent to a water tower and state park. Mr. Esparza also made sure to remind me that I had only been his customer for seven years, not "nearly a decade" as I expressed in an earlier conversation as well. Nice touch, buddy! Needless to say, I promptly found another insurance company that was willing to insure my home for a more competitive price without the ludicrous "improvements" identified by Mr. Esparza. As a result of his actions and attitude, I also canceled my other policies with State Farm, which included auto insurance. You can do much better than Mr. Esparza as an insurance agent, especially when there are many other agents who will work with you to make sure that your insurance needs are covered. read more

I unfortunately found myself in a horrible Stage 3 evacuation due to a raw sewage explosion. Being a single mom, moving myself and 2 kids out of our home in less than 24 hours during the 2014 holidays was far from joyful. Cut to AUGUST 2015 and I still was not receiving proper assistance regarding my reimbursement for this evacuation, so I called Ron and asked him what could be done? BUYER BEWARE!!! I wish I could give negative stars and here is why. Ron Esparza and his staff of cronies have given me nothing but grief the moment I became a State Farm Customer. He gave me the run around about how he can save me money on auto and rental insurance. I received a quote for a lower rate and as soon as I received my policy in the mail, my rate immediately shot up. I had to call back and forth repeatedly to fix this issue. Finally after a month of phone tag and repeat visits to the branch, they finally cut me a check for their mistake. Now a year later, I purchase a new vehicle which should have reduced my premium btw, (from SUV to sedan) Ron tries to manipulate me into adding a group policy to which I had no interest in. I ultimately decided to cancel my policy and what do I get in the mail!??? An unauthorized renewed policy with my new vehicle information along with a bill!! WTF!???? I called immediately to clear this up and to confirm cancellation...not once, not twice but THRICE! They even went as far as charging my CC after pulling it from the auto-pay site. Either one of two things happened, it was a honest mistake on their part or they are just so petty and spiteful as to purposely do the opposite of what I asked of them. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY.
