Some years later, and still 5 stars... I was recently the victim of a hit-and-run. I called State Farm customer service thinking it might be covered by my policy because it was similar to another accident from many years ago which was covered. I was mistaken. (I must have changed my coverage since then!) Mark called and emailed me a few days later to make sure I was not hurt, to explain why my current policy did not cover the accident, and to give me some advice on making a claim against the other party, as well as to remind me to file the required SR-1 form with the DMV. (Though I had filed the form in the past, I had completely forgotten the requirement and would have failed to file it this time without Mark's reminder.) Mark had no real obligation to provide assistance with this non-covered accident, but he did so anyway because he is the rare agent who truly cares about the people to whom he sells insurance. If not for Mark, I would have left State Farm some years ago. I have stayed because of him and I've even recommended him to friends who I knew would appreciate the kind of agent he is. I wouldn't like to leave a review without mentioning Leah and the office staff, each of whom is always kind and helpful in their particular capacity whenever I contact the office. read more

We went with Mark Hill well over a year ago and can't say enough good things about him and his team. We've been insured with State Farm for well over 30 years and our previous agent was okay but when he was going to retire, we went looking for someone who would be a bit more responsive and proactive. (We have our home, autos, RV, and umbrella policy - so we pay a good sum for insurance and wanted someone who did more than just collect the commissions.) We did a bit of Yelp searching for local agents with five star ratings and had friends offer some personal recommendations for Mark and his team. We figured he might just be the guy for us. One of the first things we did was to meet with Mark to get an overview of our policy - in part to see if we were paying for more than we needed or if we weren't covered as completely as we thought we were. He patiently went over our coverages (in plain English!) - making sure we understood what we had and what our options were. (He wouldn't let us leave until all our questions were answered to our satisfaction.) We ended up tweaking our policy to cover us better at a slightly lower cost. Since that time, we're called his office for various things - new car and RV questions and coverage, claims assistance, queries on if we're covered for certain specific things - and a bit more. And that's where his team (including Leah and two other equally nice and knowledgeable staff members) have been super helpful. They all definitely know their business - and if I ask a question that needs an answer from State Farm itself, they get back to me quickly with the response! Where do I begin! I have been with Mark and Leah Hill for over 3 years now and they have by far been the best insurance agents I have ever had. I originally had Mercury Insurance, which was the worst decision I have ever made. Once my driving record mostly cleared up, I was referred to Mark and Leah Hill/State Farm. I went into their office, which was down the street from my house, and immediately knew that they were the right choice. Within minutes, I had a quote for auto, renters and earthquake insurance. It was a few dollars higher compared to any leading auto insurance company at first, but Leah let me know that the rates would go down with every renewal - the longer you are with State Farm, the cheaper your rates get. Within 6 months, my rates had already dropped more than $10.00/month. After three years of being with them, my insurance rates are lower than most other companies, which is excellent! **Knock on wood**, I have not had to file any claims since I have been with them... But judging by the amazing customer service I have received over the past three years, I know and trust that they will be there to help me every step of the way.
