He was very accommodating, listened to me explain what my goals were and he is HELLA knowledgeable about wellness in general. He also provides seminars and teachings. This is one doctor who loves WHAT HE DOES!!! He's got a tremendous personality and is very motivated to do his job properly and be one of my "Tools" in the toolbox. He examined my spine, manipulation to see what areas to work on, gave heat and let me lay for a bit and came back and manipulated, he stretched me out, turned me over and pushed on me and I IMMEDIATELY heard a CLICK - which was what he was looking for. He isn't a snap-crackle-and-pop agro chiro bro, and we have a good time musing about life while talking shop about body mechanics as he works on my musculoskeletal complications. My high level of fitness tends to be undermined at times by my overexertion. I first came to Dr Veech with a painful psoas muscle spasm that another chiropractor was unable to resolve. I'd had the problem treated successfully in the past by other practitioners, and knew what to expect. Dr Veech was able to resolve it in one visit. His treatments start with a variety of ART (Active Release Technique) muscle manipulations with active patient participation before any traditional chiropractic adjustments are discussed. The entirety of each long visit involves him working with you instead of slipping SOT blocks under you or adjusting your neck without warm up and running off to another patient. Dr Veech has also advised me about effective stretching and exercises, for which I'm grateful.

Especially that I ve been having some shoulder pain for a while along with both calfs being tight and my lower back. So, while in the movie theater, I booked an appointment after the movie. The movie ended earlier than expected, and I called to see if I could come in a half hour earlier than the appointment I previously booked. Dr. G had no problem with it and asked me my ailments along with documentation. The best experience I've ever had and walked out of there with less shoulder and no back pain at all. I found the Groupon and went in. Dr. Kavanaugh spent less than 5 minutes adjusting me and asking questions. His diagnosis was that it was a strained muscle. When my shoulder did not feel better after the adjustment, he said that was normal and to come in for another adjustment. I trusted him and regret it, as I experienced pain shooting down my arm afterwards. I researched and later came back in saying that I thought I had a pinched nerve upon my second visit. He agreed with my diagnosis but then gave me a full blown adjustment. In hindsight, this was incredibly dangerous. I complained that I still couldn't look right without pain after the visit was complete, but was again told to come back in for another visit. That weekend, I experienced excruciating pain and could not undress myself to get into bed. I thought I was going to puke while crying from the pain. Luckily I went to another clinic and they took an X-ray. The doctor was flabbergasted that Dr. Kavanaugh did not advise an X-ray after I presented with shooting arm pain. He displayed extremely poor medical judgement to give a full adjustment to a patient with a pinched nerve. Despite paying in advance for additional adjustments, I will never return to this clinic.

My last chiropractor, Dr Phil Wilner, who I was a patient of for more than 10 years and who is a fantastic chiropractor, decided to move his practice to Colorado. That was in 2009. Anyways for a few years I was in limbo, I tried a few chiropractors but didn't find anyone who's adjustments worked for me. At one point I gave up and bought an inversion table. Basically its machine that flips you upside down to stretch and straighten out your back. Unfortunately that only does so much and one day I saw Dr Benedikt on Amazon's local deals and decided to give him a try since it was close to where I work. The initial consultation was pretty standard stuff but the back adjustment was exactly what I was looking for (muscle stim, upper back adjustment, hip and neck). YMMV but I've been a patient of Dr. Benedikt's for a year and a half. I go for a back adjustment every month or two. The only thing I wish is, my previous chiropractor put heated towels or heat pads over the area where he did the muscle stims. Aside from that I've been a happy patient.

I had tried acupuncture before, so I wasn't…read morereally expecting much, but after seeing 8 different kinds of doctors (chiropractor, rheumatologist, orthopedic surgeons, spinal surgeon, physical therapist, etc, etc etc) for chronic neck pain, I was open to anything. I was beside myself in pain one day, so despite the pricing here being slightly higher than other places I had found, the fact that they had appointments available same day landed me at their office. The office itself is rather small, but feels very comfortable. The rooms aren't super private - the walls don't go to the ceiling, so you can kind of hear what's going on around you in the office, BUT that also meant I could hear that Johnny washed his hands after exiting every room with a patient so that's a plus and actually did stand out to me very much! Well, the FIRST day, I walked out of there with an improvement in pain. It's definitely not gone, but it was the first time after all the doctors, specialists, medications, etc that I had spent a year and a half investing in, this was the best money I could have spent. The relief I felt mentally to finally feel relief physically is one I cannot even explain! I also really appreciated that Johnny said to me a few times that his goal is that I DON'T have to keep coming back, which truly shows me he's not just treating me for the sake of getting me hooked, but really for making me feel better. I appreciate their positive attitude and the one visit is enough to keep me coming back and hopefully keep improving! I do wish they offered packages - this would make it more financially manageable and would honestly make me more likely to continue coming in every once in a while even if my pain is completely gone, but that is a suggestion I made in person so hopefully it's something they consider in the future!
