This towing company caused extensive damage to my brand new truck while towing it. They damaged my ABS system, braking system and traction control. Three separate service lights were on when I picked it up. I am now forced to pursue legal options to compel them to pay for the damage they caused, despite showing clear paperwork and metadata from my auto computer proving their culpability for the damage. I could not more emphatically recommend you avoid this company. They are, to put it nicely, tremendous pieces of shit. read more

My father was in a car accident this morning. Two tow truck driver's showed up from Ron's auto and truck towing, without being called. They were listening to the fire station's radio and decided that they should get paid for the job. The cops were not even there yet and usually the cops call the tow trucks. This company just claimed jobs that were not theirs. A skinny man, in the white truck, decided he was going to play the cops and try to control the entire situation. He wanted to leave and not wait for the cops because the kid, that hit my father, did not have license or insurance. The tow truck driver brought over the kid's fathers license and insurance information and told us to drive to the police station. I told him, no. We weren't putting his father down on the police report when his father was not responsible for the accident. He got angry and started calling me names. He told me if they cops were not coming, he would hit me. Real classy. I had to call the cops back and let them know the tow truck was threatening violence and getting the other parties all angry. The cops showed up and told me the tow trucks should not have arrived at the scene. I called, Ron's auto and truck towing and let them know I wanted the driver gone. They did not take me seriously and allowed the driver to stay. They are obviously ok if their driver's threaten women as long as they get paid. Don't use this company. If they show up to a scene of an accident BEFORE the police, tell them to leave!!!!!! Don't give them money! Don't encourage their bad behavior! read more

After an accident that was only a few miles from the auto body shop Ron's charged me for two day storage fees after being directed to take directly to body shop. This is straight gauging. A $60 bill turned into $230!!! Never again will I use their service.. read more

I just called the highway patrol on a tow truck from this company. The driver was operating very erratically and nearly caused two accidents on I-70 over the course of only about 20 seconds before he sped out of view. Not sure if he's the owner or an employee but he has no business on the road. read more

Soo my husband was in a terrible and scary Roll over accident and Ron's Tow came out to retrieve his truck. Our initial interaction with Ron's Tow was very rocky... however, all expectations, communication and AMAZING customer service was exceeded after speaking with Jen! She was extremely professional, understanding, and compassionate! She helped us sort out our situation and worked professionally with our insurance company! They are a towing company and probably know they have crappy job dealing with angry people. My four stars come in because my husbands truck was towed on a Saturday and we came by to pick it up on Monday. The truck wasn't ready to be picked up so they said they'd call us when it was ready and we could come back. Mind you we live and work a hour away. We decide to waste some time and eat breakfast, two hours later no call. We decide to go ahead and go to work, and around 1 we call to get an ETA. Yeah, the truck had been ready for hours but they forgot to call and let us know. More or less just annoying, but they have dogs there to love up on so not all was lost. read more

My rental car was hit by a motorist and I needed a tow. I sat on hold with the rental car companies roadside assistance number for over 7 minutes, before hanging up. Ron's Towing Service showed up and was professional, explained that they work with rental agencies frequently, and said they would handle getting the car returned. Over the next 1 1/2 days and five additional lengthy phone calls to Thrifty, I was annoyed and angry. Thrifty wanted to charge me for the tow, and Ron went to bat on my behalf. He got the tow fee refunded, and called to let me know an update after the car had been delivered. Top-notch service from a top-notch guy! Jennifer in the office is pretty amazing as well! The tow truck driver said he would be there "shortly". To me and most everyone else that means 5 or 10 minutes. Nope. But I can forgive the wait time. He acted pissed or at least disgruntled that we interrupted his lunch. We should have broke down at the proper time and location I guess. But what I can't forgive is dropping me and my 75 year old mother at the mechanics and leaving us there. We lived on the next highway exit over and he abandoned us at the mechanics. Never heard of a tow truck driver doing that before, ever. And I've known tow truck drivers for 40 years. What a total scum bag. He said he was driving the other way. This company towed my car May 2018 after a sheriff speeding blew through a red light and hit me in my car. My car sat in their lot on hold for investigation for quite a while until one day I got a call from a friend who seen my car was gone! After some looking for it I was told they had lost their lease to the lot. They moved my vehicle which was part of an investigation to another tow lot without prior knowledge. I demanded my vehicle released and was able to pick it up from Jim's tow. I picked the car up and it was still tarped, tied up, and evident it hadn't been touched since it was tarped originally. After cleaning the car out I realized my very expensive kenwood indash Cd/DVD player, my dash wiring harness, as well as my audio equalizer are all gone! Just very dishonest to steal from someone who lost so much. read more

Our daughter was in an accident near Lone Jack, Ron's Tow were driving by and stopped. The driver told us they were the only company that would come out to the area. Had them tow it to their lot that was about 4 miles away...The bill was $510.00, absolutely ridiculous!!! They are taking advantage of people, when they most need help!!! Wish I could give negative stars. My son was in an automobile accident a few miles away from where it was towed. Due to the stress of the situation, i asked the police office for a recommendation (I didn't know whom to call to tow the vehicle). I was charged $180 of 'storage' fees (which ended up being less than 9 hours, but yes, spanned a Midnight), and charged in excess of $200 for two tows EACH (yes, one to wherever they 'kept' it, and then one to the requested location early the next morning). Total bill was $570 for a simple tow. DO NOT use them! read more
