5/23/2026 I used to frequent this place semi- regularly for wing night. It was great to go back and glad they finally saw the light and opted to start accepting credit cards. My son, his wife and two daughters and I went for an early dinner. The service was attentive and quick! I ordered the standby I've always loved there- the wings! As delicious as I remember and oh that homemade blue cheese!! So great!! I ordered a beef sandwich that came on a toasted bun with the requested creamy horseradish sauce. It also came with au jus to dip. I think it was top round? The au jus was extremely salty and I could not use it at all- the creamy horseradish spread saved the day! It was a delicious sandwich with lots of meat. We appreciated the quick service and I really enjoyed the food. It was really good! Our server was friendly and efficient and checked up on us numerous times. Why 4 stars? Well there was no toilet paper in the ladies room- that's a big drawback. I brought it to the servers attention and it was immediately fixed. I would definitely come here more often, but I have since moved away. They feature a pasta night which sounds great! My son and his family will return to try it out. I look forward to going back to Ron's when I'm in the area. read more

Great affordable food. I prefer sitting on their outdoor deck area when I visit this restaurant. The outside is very peaceful and decorated in flowers and collectible posters/wall mountings. I'm not sure how the seating/service is when indoors, but this place is definitely worth a visit! read more

A great, local little hole in the wall kind of place. Can be as casual as you want it to be. We love the outdoor seating area. The food is good; we love the burgers & the wings & if you like chunky blue cheese dressing, order the fries & dip them in the dressing. Years ago this place was really a hidden gem. Now it's pretty much like every other place. Unimaginative food. Not terrible, just unimaginative. I think in years past the chef was Culinary Institute of America trained. At least that was the rumor. Sure doesn't seem like that's the case any more. On a busy night they really need an additional server outside. Our server last night was an expert at avoiding eye contact. Wings and turkey bacon ranch wrap was good as well as Fish n Chips - I called in for take out but culture shock ensued when I went inside to pay the bill - each meal was $4 lower on website than what I was billed for???? How can that be? Am I the only one that got stung? read more

Holy cow! Went here on Super Bowl Sunday because everything else was closed. The Hollandaise and Bacon fires were AMAZING! I had the ribs with a salad. Salad was very fresh. A group of us stopped in here on a Sunday night after a show. The service was extremely slow. When we finally put our order in the food came out only 2 dishes at a time. By the time the last 2 dishes came out the people first served were finished eating. We were not happy with that. On top of that one person ordered 12 wings but only got 10. When asked for the additional 2 they never came. Finally had to find our server because we were done and wanted the check. Now let me say this. It was a Sunday night. There were 2 tables with 2 people and besides our group there was another group around the same size as ours. At the bar there were 4 people. So it wasn't overly busy. And there was another 2 servers. When I went to look for our server she was working behind the bar. Now I get it. Multitasking. However she only came back once to check on our drinks and that again took a long time for the second round to come. When I finally got the check we deducted for the 2 wings missing. Not for nothing they were &1.50 a piece. She got a tip. Would've been much better on an almost $200 tab had she paid a little more attention to us. And trust me I tip big. Especially these days with the way the world is. But we really felt like a burden to her with our presence. On the flip side the food was really really good. That's the only reason there's 3 stars. Whoever said looks can be deceiving was never at this bar. Food was The cuisine matched the appearance of this establishment, food was extremely disappointing, how can you mess up an Italian hoagie. This place is okay for a dive bar with a restaurant in the back. Foods not bad even though there was only one waitress she did her best to take care of every patron in there. She was very friendly . what really sucked, is that they do not take any type of cards for payment. You have to go to a ATM within the bar, pay their outrageous fee, to get cash to pay for your food. My girlfriend and I were looking for a new place close by and stumbled upon Ron's Crooked Hill Tavern - and we were very glad we did! From the outside it's a rather unassuming place, and we were exciting to find an outside deck which was perfect for our evening out. We shared the beef tips/fries appetizer; my girlfriend enjoyed the shrimp salad, and i had the Yuengling dipped fish sandwich. Everything was extremely well prepared and tasted great. The outside seating was very casual but clean. The place was fairly crowded for 5pm but we were hungry after shopping the outlets for the last 4 hours. We sat ourselves and waited 15 minutes before someone acknowledged us. We then ordered soft drinks and waited more. We then ordered our two meals, the half rack of ribs special and a dinner salad with steak. 35 minutes later the dinners were served. The steak on the salad was almost luke warm and the ribs were just warm. We asked for ketchup and never got it. The ribs were tasty even though they weren't hot. All in all, our quick dinner was complete in 2 hours. We won't be going back. read more

Food is all prepared from scratch. Wings are always solid, garlic parmesan, cajun, mild, and old bay rock! Fresh cut fries are always perfect. Their house made blue cheese is absolutely out of bounds. Fish and chips is fresh made, and only $7 on Thursday. Buck-a-schuck Virginia oysters on Wednesday are just a crazy deal. I'm an oyster lover and have had them all over the country, these stack up as good as I've had. No complaints whatsoever here. We will most certainly be regulars at Ron's!! read more

So, I was really wanted to write an awesome review of this place. My husband is a local bartender and he actually heard about this place from another patron. We were excited bc we like to look into local "great" places. So, we drove over here on a Sunday with 2 of our 3 kids around 4 o'clock. It definitely wasn't busy at this time. Perhaps two full tables inside and we made the second table outside. The waitress (Swift) was so super friendly. Great with us and our kids. Our alcoholic beverages and our appetizers came right out. Things were great. But after that, things just went down hill. Tables began to fill around us. We watched the other tables get their food. When we reminded Swift about our food, she assured us it was on its way. Finally, it was so long of a wait, our kids were so restless, and everyone was eating around us, I finally sent my husband to the bar to ask for our check. Swift seen him and said our food was on the way. At this point, we had to take it home. Well, unfortunately, I would have never ordered a wedge salad for home, so I feel as if I wasted my money. This is a cozy little bar - nothing fancy - with a pretty straightforward menu. Not a lot to look at and cash only but we stumbled in and were treated like old friends. We arrived more than a half hour after their kitchen had closed but they took our food order anyway like it was no big deal. Our food was delicious and inexpensive and the bartender was a class act. I stopped here for a beer today. I generally like these type of places; local bars that aren't part of a chain. The bar is a little off the beaten path..but not far off. Not quite an old man bar/dive (those places are close to extinct) but a nice atmosphere, a bit dark -which is a plus for me! Beers on tap are the usual ones: Bud, Miller, Yuengling, plus some craft beers on tap. The food menu looks good, even though i didnt have anything. Bar food. OK. Sat down for a beer, 4:30 pm, a little before happy hour rush, not too many people, but still got slow service. Second beer I asked for never showed up, the bartender was busy chatting with locals. Found this place while looking for a lunch spot before we hit the premium outlets. Looks like a roomy but typical bar/restaurant- mostly mature adults seated at the bar and some of the tables. We sat inside because it was a cool day, but outside seating looked nice, too. Waitress was busy but very nice and helpful. Fish & Chips was very good; Wife had a pork sandwich special.
