    Western omelet and hash browns
    TL S.

Ron's is definitely a dive 100% no frills. They have a 2.99 breakfast special eggs, meat, hash browns, buciut which is a great price. I got the western omelet it was good the grits were a little too watery for me. I haven't had anything else other than breakfast so I can't review them, but I hear The burgers are amazing. And all their prices are great!

People were nice but this place is so dirty. Even the blinds are dirty. I couldn't eat my food.

This burger-and-beer joint (with a sister spot in Plaza Midwood) opened in early 2024 in a renovated space in the Depot Shopping Center, and it brings a casual, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the area. The place has a laid-back, neighborhood feel with indoor seating and a nice patio/beer garden area great for warmer days. It's dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch for locals. Service is consistently praised as friendly and attentive, even during busier times. They specialize in juicy, handmade-style burgers cooked to order, along with a solid selection of beers. Standouts from reviews and the menu include: * Classic burgers with creative toppings (like the Moo & Brew Burger with brew-braised onions, chili, and cheese). * The Hot Chick (fried chicken with buffalo sauce, pepper jack, bacon, and ranch). * Other options like turkey, chicken, or a really well-reviewed salmon burger. * Appetizers such as cheese curds and crispy fries that come out hot every time. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, and prices feel fair for the quality. The beer selection hits the spot for a casual hang, with options ranging from light lagers to more robust brews. Pros: * Excellent, consistent burgers and sides. * Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. * Good for groups, families, or a chill date night. * Outdoor seating and pet-friendly Cons: * Can get busy, especially on weekends. * Like many burger spots, it's not the most health-conscious menu, though there are some lighter options. Overall, Moo & Brew Matthews delivers exactly what it promises: great burgers, cold beers, and good times in a welcoming space. It's become a go-to spot for many locals in Matthews, and I'll definitely be back especially for a burger and a beer on the patio. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

The grits paired with hollandaise made the dish too rich for my tastes. My mistake. Next time hashbrowns for me. Overall, the meal was tasty and well prepared. I discovered Eggs Up Grill years ago at Surfside Beach, SC when they were beginning their expansion. I've been a fan ever since. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter ordering eggs sunny side up. Go here.

I use Benedict's as my gold standard for breakfast service. I like my poached eggs runny but these were almost completely cooked, the English muffin I requested toasted 'hard' meaning I want it well toasted but it came out hardly toasted. The hollandaise sauce was a little weak and thin and sparse. The potatoes were over salted for my taste even though our server tried to fix them by bringing me a new side order, the potatoes were still too salty. So the Benedict didn't meet expectations but my husband enjoyed his sandwich. My dogs enjoyed the remains of the eggs Benedict - too expensive to throw out! But not the potatoes. I might be persuaded to try this place again in the future, but it would be because nothing else was available.
