Nothing beats the burger and corn nuggets on those lazy days where you just don't want to cook.

A classic country grill where what they lack in flare, they make up in soulful down own Southern cooking. A joy!

Classic family diner that apparently has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations now which is great to see. We came at an irregular lunch hour so it wasn't too busy which is lucky because I've heard this place can bring a crowd. It's not hard to see why! The two workers were super friendly and sweet and we enjoyed chatting with them. I elected to go with a cheeseburger and a chili cheese hot dog. Both were exactly what I needed especially the hot dog, I'm still thinking about that chili. Our meal was incomplete though. It still needed desert. I haven't had a milkshake in a long time but being in here made me nostalgic so I had to grab one to go! I got a Reese's shake just like I used to get as a kid and boy did I not realize how much I missed them. That's the kind of place this is. It has a wholesome and timeless quality to it that takes you back to a simpler time. It's not fancy or dressed up, just quality food made by quality people. I wish I lived closer but I know I will make it back.

I use Benedict's as my gold standard for breakfast service. I like my poached eggs runny but these were almost completely cooked, the English muffin I requested toasted 'hard' meaning I want it well toasted but it came out hardly toasted. The hollandaise sauce was a little weak and thin and sparse. The potatoes were over salted for my taste even though our server tried to fix them by bringing me a new side order, the potatoes were still too salty. So the Benedict didn't meet expectations but my husband enjoyed his sandwich. My dogs enjoyed the remains of the eggs Benedict - too expensive to throw out! But not the potatoes. I might be persuaded to try this place again in the future, but it would be because nothing else was available.

The grits paired with hollandaise made the dish too rich for my tastes. My mistake. Next time hashbrowns for me. Overall, the meal was tasty and well prepared. I discovered Eggs Up Grill years ago at Surfside Beach, SC when they were beginning their expansion. I've been a fan ever since. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter ordering eggs sunny side up. Go here.

The seafood was cooked to perfection and was delivered promptly. Three things I would recommend to improve on: paper towels instead of napkins; make the fried calamari starter a larger portion; and make sure people eating crabs have the necessary tools when the meal is served. Overall this place was pretty awesome for an in-land seafood restaurant. Better than most at the seashore!! Highly recommend trying Shake Shake Seafood in Monroe. I know we will be!!

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would, but unfortunately, the lowest option is one…read more I came in on Saturday and ordered a lobster combo to go. When I got home, I noticed there was a foreign object in my food that absolutely should not have been there. I wasn't able to call Saturday because it was too late, and I had to work all day Sunday. I called Monday to report the issue and give the restaurant an opportunity to address it. I spoke with the general manager, Tan, and his response was extremely disappointing. He was very defensive, aggressive, and downright rude. Instead of listening to my concern, he questioned me by saying, "Why are you just now calling me?" and "Why are you calling me out of the blue?" The fact remains that regardless of when I called, there was a foreign object in my food that should not have been there. The timing of my call does not change what happened or make the issue any less concerning. I called when I was able to, and I should have been able to report my experience without being treated disrespectfully. I was calmly explaining what happened, yet he repeatedly told me to "calm down," as if I were the one being aggressive or unreasonable. I was not calling to argue or cause a problem. I was simply trying to make the restaurant aware of a serious issue with my order. What made the situation even worse was the attitude I received from management. Rather than taking the complaint seriously and addressing the food-safety concern, I felt like I was being treated as though I had done something wrong by calling. I did not ask for the foreign object or the additional ingredient that was found in my food, and it should not have been there in the first place. After this experience, I will not be spending my money at this restaurant again. I am also considering contacting the local health department regarding what I found in my food because this is a concern that should be taken seriously. Customers should be able to report legitimate concerns without being met with defensiveness, aggression, or disrespect. The facts remain the same regardless of when I called: there was something in my food that should not have been there, and the way management handled my complaint was completely unacceptable.
