We got a ( Ashley ) modular sectional, a (coaster furniture) queen bed frame, and a night stand. Looked at all stores around, and rooms decor gallery offered us the best deal. Will quoted us a combined price for all, and after the price was finalized, he realized that he'd forgotten to add his profit for a piece, but since he'd promised us a price, he stuck to his guns and offered it at the promised price. We also had a time constraint and needed stuff pretty soon -- Ashley's is notorious for late delivery, but Will made sure that we got our consignment in time. When we visited first time, it was weekend and may be that guy thought I was not going to buy, so he didn't give good price. Luckily, we went again during weekdays , and everything went good . Very professional. They told me to deliver Furniture in 3 weeks. They had some delivery guys trouble, but Mark personally came to deliver . It was as expected and everything was good. Bought a beautiful wooden bookcase from here. Their prices are extremely reasonable and much lower than most of the furniture stores near Fremont. The salesman I dealt with, Bao, was very friendly and informative. The piece was in stock and they delivered it the day after I ordered it (they can only deliver on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays though). I'm giving them 4 stars since they don't have too many items in the showroom, but Bao was quite patient about letting me browse through all their catalogs to find the item that I wanted. And he called up the furniture company to answer a few questions I had about the piece, since they didn't have one in the showroom. He'll truly give you his opinion and not to upsell either. And I appreciated that. He was so patient with me especially with me being so indecisive. Their package deals are great. But I ended up mixing and matching mine so it would work with the layout of my home. All in all, I bought a cal-king bed set which included the bed frame, a dresser with mirror, two night stands, and I also bought a sectional couch with ottoman and a rocking recliner chair all for $2000. I shopped around extensively for this set made by Coaster all around the Bay area and their price is simply unbeatable, period. If you're willing to do an all-cash purchase, they'll give you more price break. To cut to the chase, here are the facts: 1) Their all-cash price offer on the 4-pc (bed, nightstand, dresser with mirror) was by far the lowest in the bay. I know this because they price matched the lowest offer I found after a month of searching! 2) Their delivery charge was only $20 for gas (Free labor for delivery & set-up) to W. San Jose - try beating that! 3) They delivered this bed set within 36 hours of my paying 50% deposit (very conveniently over bank $ transfer too) AND close to the promised 2 hour delivery window -- compare that with other competitor furniture stores that quoted 7 - 10 business days AND Ashley Furniture who missed the delivery window by 7 HOURS that same day for other furniture items (boy, was I so pissed at them)! 4) Above all, the furnture items themselves were delivered in flawless condition. Even 2 small scratches (manufacturer defect) on the side of the bed and nightstand was touched up nicely right at set-up time. 5) Will, their sales manager, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was straight to the point, got right down to closing the deal over the phone, and gave me an assurance that they'd deliver against their promise which was kept. He responded to my email inquiries within minutes too! So, tell me ONE good reason why you'd go elsewhere to shop for furniture items that you know Room Decor sells. Most independent/small furniture stores sell the same stuff - furniture made by Coasters, Home Elegance, or Ashley Furniture so if you see something from these manufacturers I would forget shopping around and just go straight to Rooms Decor Gallery. Rooms Decor Gallery's prices are unbeatable. I did a ton of research comparing stores in San Francisco and looking online and they had the lowest prices for the same items. I ended up buying a 3 piece sofa set, 4 piece dining, a larger 7 piece dining, and a 5 piece bedroom set for about $2600. +Extremely Low Prices +Friendly and helpful salespeople. I told them I needed the furniture in less than 2 weeks and they narrowed down my options for me. It took at least several hours for me to decide/make my purchases (I think I even held them up from closing for the day) but they were still very courteous. +cheap delivery fee -the place is small with few floor models so if you like to test the furniture before buying, go to another store first. (I'm not a picky guy so pictures were fine by me) -my delivery guys were pretty horrible. They were an hour late, the guys weren't all that big but I was shocked when they started dragging/pushing boxes across the floor. It left scuff marks from my dining room into my bedroom. So I had to go through only catalog they have. They can order from many brands so if you know what you looking for, it is just damn easy. Half of the items I originally wanted were not available. But they had such a big selection (from magazines) and very good prices that I was able to find similar items to choose from instead. I was actually able to furnish my home with some very fancy furniture thanks to their great prices. We practically furnished our entire house with furniture from them. They gave us a great deal and delivered it themselves. They even put everything together in our house at no extra charge (tips are appreciated). They did not give off the "salesman" vibe at all. Since you need to browse their magazines, they weren't hovering around you hoping to make a sale like they do at other furniture stores. Rating: 3.5* Came here with my mom a few weeks ago to buy a dining table and sectional couch. Will was very nice helping us decide on what furniture to get and we were even able to customize it. It ended up being $1700+. Got a discount for paying in cash. My mother and I weren't sure if we were getting a good deal or not because none of the catalogs had prices of the furniture and he never told us how much each item was. Due to the positive yelp reviews, we just went along with the price he has gave us. It took 2 weeks to get everything ready since we customized our furniture. After exactly 2 weeks, we never received a call saying when it would be delivered. I had to call them asking when it would be delivered. They said it would deliver on a Thursday around 5-7. I called back the same day to change the date because of a busy schedule, he said to call back anytime to know when is a good time to be delivered. I called on Monday morning to get it delivered by Tuesday. When I called they already had it scheduled for us on Tuesday between 5-7. Later that day, while I was working, they called my mom asking when we want the furniture to be delivered. My mom decided to have the time to be around 2:30-3:30. I got home telling my mom what the arrangement was, but she ended up telling me they called her while I was away and told me about the time she picked. I assumed that they decided to deliver at her time because she was the last one they spoke to. On Tuesday, between 2:30-3:30, no one showed up. I called asking them when will my furniture be coming and they told me that they were picking up from San Jose and that it would take a while since it was rush hour. We got annoyed because no one notified us of the actual time the delivery would be. Later, they finally arrived. We got excited for it since we were living without a couch and table for a week. The furniture looks a lot bigger when it's in your house, so don't forget to measure! The delivery guys seemed nice. They were talking in a different language a lot, so I'm not sure if they were complaining about the delivery or they were talking about something else (I think they were probably just complaining about how heavy the stuff was, I would complain too). After everything was set up, they looked really tired and just wanted to leave. So, I signed the paper and gave them the rest of the money I owed. Just recently, we started to feel around the new marble dining table. We noticed that there was some small chips and it wasn't smooth everywhere. Most of the damage was on one side of the table, so we assume they dropped it along the way. I wanted to complain about the situation, but I went back to look at the receipt and it says that they won't do anything about it unless we notify them the same day of delivery. I wish the delivery guys helped us inspect everything instead of just handing us the paper to leave. Overall, I can't really say that I got a great deal for everything, because I don't even know the prices of things individually. I think the customer service is great, but the delivery process was slightly difficult to deal with. read more

We finally got a hold of someone who then told us that the items were out of stock. Our refund took over three weeks to get. We recently visited this place and bought office furniture. We got good deal on the furniture and the wood is really good and has a wonderful look and finish. Their deliver is good too. Just that in our case the delivery guy kept pressing us to pay cash in fact claimed that we had promised to do so. A few phone calls and the issue got resolved soon enough. Over all the experience was good. I am very content so is my husband. My only gripe and reason for not giving them five stars is that the delivery date keeps moving back and forth. My family moved into our own place last June and we needed all kinds of furniture. My sister recommended this place since she actually purchased furniture there not too long before we did. I liked the quality of the couch and other pieces she purcahsed, so we decided to drive out from San Jose to check it out. We went with the package deal since it seemed to make sense since we needed bedroom furniture, dining room funiture and a couch. The headboard and bedroom furniture we purchased was really nice and the dining room table was definitely decent (we upgraded the dining room furniture); however, the couch... the couch is so uncomfortable! They didnt have the couch in their showroom so we werent able to test it out, but we liked the look and the sales guy assured us that its the same quality as the similar one they had on display. Wrong! We thought, ok, maybe we just need to break it in a little bit to soften it up. Wrong! One year later, the springs are starting to come up and i can feel it when i sit. Looking at the couch, you can see where there are areas where there is still cushion and the areas where the springs are starting to protrude. Definitely not of quality... pretty sad because we really liked the couch. I just cant believe that we've only had the couch for one year and we are already in need of a new one. read more
