Beware!! I am paying top dollar for the Sound Tech by Shaq. I originally received a sofa with a very messed up arm that i unfortunately do not have a picture of because i assumed they would bring me a replacement that was acceptable. After two attempts and trying to deliver damaged and questionably new replacements I finally accepted the set that i am posting pictures of. The lumbar doesn't work on one side of the sofa and the "leather" is so thin and cheap that the love seat already has a couple of noticeable scratches from installation. I was told by customer care that they only allow 3 replacements and that I wasn't allowed to replace my damaged furniture because of the arms. I also purchase the service agreement. I am paying around $7000 and have yet to receive new condition and fully functioning furniture. I was also told I could exchange it for store credit but absolutely no refund of any kind. After questioning the refund policy I was told I could receive a refund minus a 20% restock fee, $1400. I have taken off work three days to receive replacements. Two months have passed and I still have unacceptable furniture. Not only is this frustrating and inconvenient, customer service treats me like I am at fault. Is one star the lowest I can give? Their delivery company is just awful. And to think we paid for delivery! We were given a delivery windows of 9-12 on sept 9. After 1200 came and went I called only to find out they changed the delivery time to 2-6 pm. And we were not notified. That's our entire Saturday wasted as we wait for this delivery. Be sure NOT to have Savannah as your sales person. She'll judge you, with clear facial expressions and then not correct herself on the price she tells you AFTER you processed the payment. She has zero social skills to be a sales person. Had to go back to do an exchange or exchange on a mattress and made no intention to ask us if we needed help. Instead had someone else come up to us. Recently received our bedroom set. We were not aware we needed to order 2 bunkie boards for the bed so we had to wait an additional week before we could use our bed. Mesquite location rectified this, it went smoothly. Manager at that location was awesome. Problem 2: Our mirror arrived damaged. The moving guys told us they submitted a claim and a new one would be delivered in 4 days (delivery date sept 29). When I called to get a status update we were told that the delivery guys are not authorized to do this And it is a common complaint. Ariel told is to be on the lookout for an email so we could get our replacement. This was back on Oct. 3. It is now the 15th, we have yet to receive the email we need in order to start the process of replacing our mirror. Frustrated. read more

Our problem was with the delivery of our sofa and love seat. It's a lot to pay for them to take the plastic off and screw on the legs but we agreed so that's on us. The problem was when they screwed the legs on, I told them they should all point in the correct direction since they are angular legs. You don't want one pointing to the left, one to the right and one towards the under side of the sofa. When I pointed that out, they "fixed" it by unscrewing the legs until they matched. You couldn't screw them in any tighter and still match so they unscrewed them to match then left, in a hurry I might add. I was suspicious about their "fix" so my husband and I decided to check. We paid for set up and we had to turn both sofas upside down, work with the legs to the correct positions then saw there were slots prepared for inserting a screw to secure the legs once positioned correctly which they certainly did not do. We should be reimbursed the setup cost. I really like the end result but definitely not happy with the delivery and set up, plus they couldn't speak English well enough to understand the problem. Regarding earlier comments about receiving a credit card..... I also did not understand we would be issued a rooms to go credit card. We don't need or want that. read more

And Rachel in the office was as helpful as a gnat. This store sells couches that squeak, and don't recline the way they should then want to make you pay 600$ plus another delivery fee to exchange. On 7/15/23 we paid nearly $5,000 cash for a loveseat, table, end table, and desk. The loveseat works great (heated and massaging). The table and end tables were scratched. They came out here and touched them up with a dark marker. Not a big deal. The desk. A $1300 desk, did not have all the parts shipped with it. A short phone call and they were coming out on Tuesday the next week to fix it. Tuesday comes and no show, you call and they deny everything and say they'll be out Saturday. On Saturday, they came out and only had half of the desk. Fast forward to the following Saturday (15 days later) they show up again, without the correct parts. Bottom line, they will take your money, tell you stories, yet not deliver on their promises. Stay away...stay far away. read more

They are absolutely the worst!! They do not care about their customers. We thought we purchased a 'lift' chair from them. Since they only make deliveries to Greenville on Tuesday, we agreed to go pick the chair up at their Warehouse in Arlington. 2 1/2 hours away from us. My husband had a complete shoulder replacement on Wednesday & we needed the chair for him so he could get up & down. Well, our son drive the 2 1/2 hours to pick the chair up. Not only did they load up boo the WRONG chair (just a recliner -- not a lift) but when he got home & realized their error we called. SO SORRY -- can't do anything till next week!! We needed it now!! They are going to pick it up next week & we are canceling the order & will go someplace that cares about their customers! There was plenty of drive as well as an empty garage for them to back up to so they had plenty of room to unpackage whatever was needed. While getting everything out the delivery guys realized they brought the wrong bedroom set. Then I asked them to take it back with them and they told me they needed to leave it until the correct pieces arrived. My living room furniture that again was taken out on the gravel road had scratched under the pieces. My family and I are recently relocated to Rockwall, and needed new furniture. About 80% of the furniture we bought was either damaged upon delivery, or was missing pieces and unable to be put together. Getting service for replacement pieces is lengthy and too time consuming. Customer service is not terrible, but definitely not notable either. I don't know that it's so much an issue with this particular location, or just an issue with the quality of furniture they sell. My wife and I stopped by after dinner. She just wanted to look at a bedroom set real quick before they closed. She had seen it online and wanted to see it in person. We walked in 10 minutes before they close (8:50). We were greeted by a sales person named Robert with a "You've got 10 minutes. What are you looking for?" His tone and body language showed that he was extremely annoyed that we there. We told him what we were looking for and he couldn't help us. He suggested that we "take a lap" of the store but before we walked away he made sure to let us know that all of the employees were ready to leave. We turned around and walked out. I have over a decade of customer service experience and have never or would never treat anyone in this way. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS WILLING TO SPEND GOOD MONEY ON YOUR PRODUCT. This was the worst furniture buying experience I've had. I am not a fan of superlative literature, but I have to be honest. The purchasing side of the experience was not too bad. The salesman was kind, not too pushy, and patient; however, he is a salesman. The true test of a company's service is in the execution and delivery. I purchased a sectional sofa and ottoman on Saturday, March 16th with a promised delivery date of Wednesday, March 20. We contacted the city to dispose of the old sofa to make room for the new one on Monday, March 18th. So, we have a few days without a couch -- no biggie. I gave the salesman my wife's phone number as the contact, since she would be at home and I would be at work. So, my wife received a call that Saturday to verify a delivery for Wednesday. She received another phone call on Monday, March 18th to clarify a window between 12pm & 4pm on Wednesday. So, Wednesday arrives... They call my wife & 10:42am to let her know that they will be arriving earlier than expected - approximately 11:30am. She waits...waits...waits some more...nothing. We have our pit-lab mix who barks whenever someone walks in our yard, let alone knocks or rings the doorbell. My wife was in the living room, the dog never barked, the door had no knock, and the doorbell never rung. I received a phone call @ 1:30pm to let me know that we missed our delivery b/c no one was home. My wife and I were both shocked and confused. I contacted the Brookshire, Texas Call Center that called me and was told that they attempted a delivery but no one answered the phone and the drivers were already in Arlington. We NEVER saw the drivers, the truck, or anyone. So, the customer service rep tells us that the delivery req was closed and wouldn't be opened for 24-48 hours to reschedule another delivery. :-/ My wife was supposed to receive a phone call today, Thursday, March 21, but it's 8:09pm CST, and I don't see that happening. Look, the couch was affordable, and the salesman was kind. The delivery and execution of receiving the merchandise was atrocious, and I swear that I don't want to go through this again. We purchased the couch last Saturday, and it looks like a 3-business day delivery is turning into a potential 12 - 14 day delay. Update: 04/2021 Has been a on-going issue since 11/2020. Loss of volume on sofa sit cushions NOT covered. Kids paint stain NOT covered. Dust Cover under the sofas NOT covered. I've been a Rooms To Go customer for 8 years now. All my furniture has been purchase from here. I have had 4 problems with the extended warranty. Seems Fortegra does not want to cover anything and the Rooms to go Tech Jason Thompson seems to do most of the inspections and for some reason is never a warranty issue, more like my fault. Lets start with my very first purchase 2013 my leather seats from a dining set were tearing, springs on seats went through and pealing. I paid $1200. The report stated it was not cover, this set was less than 10 months old. I was furious with the representative that called, I immediately responded do you realize my set is less than 10 moths old. If I wanted to buy cheap furniture I should of gone to this non brand furniture places nearby. I needed a second opinion. The second tech agree with my concerns. Surely, he agree this was no suppose to happen. Also, marble chipped off at about 2 months. That was not covered and I wouldn't get it replace. Next, I had a leather sectional at about a year of having it I had stains did not come off, tearing and pealing. Not sure what he reported but it was denied. After, this he has been noted to never to step foot in my home. I sold my home, and moved to Rockwall. Maybe, since this was a new address he was no longer a message that he was prohibited to inspect my furniture. My 4 bedroom home is furnished from Rooms to Go. I always bought the warranty for each piece. I bought a wood dining set the table one end was peeling off. With a few scratches. I really was not really happy of him inspecting my dining set. Since he would most likely document something where it would not apply to warranty concerns. He clearly stated that there was heat damage that cause the dining top to peel off. That I would hear from R2GO with a replacement. A week later passes by finally received a call stating "you guest it" no coverage. WHY? He stated I had scratches on my tabletop but did not mentioned the peel off. At this point I was upset, I was not rude to the representative but did wanted someone else to stop by check my table. I could tell by the sound of her voice she really didn't care about my concerns and basically noting can be done. He is really on a mission on reporting reports where it seems is not a warranty issue more like our fault. 2 days later the chair seat came off. The piece that supports the bum was glued on instead of drilled in or stitched in.( less than a year old) I called the following day to make a new claim. It was scheduled for 2 weeks. I also added a new claim my couches are no longer fullness one side when you sit it will suck you in. Will see what they say. I will keep you guys posted. This are the Cindy Crawford collection cloth and suede material $2800. My point of this review when you call with a warranty issue if you live in Garland or Rockwall area please tell them you do not want Mr. Thompson going in to inspect your furniture, most likely he will document it where it will not be in warranty. Not sure If he gets commission in saving the company money. And if he has done it to you please ask for a second opinion from a different tech. He has also denied my friend couch set. Not sure what was his issue. But, he decided not to purchase from R2GO again. I honestly like there furniture but dislike the warranty concerns. Some of our things were delivered, and that went perfectly. Our movers went to the store to pick up some of our things and the store was ready and waiting! Noticed a slight blemish on one of the recliner sections. Stopped into order some leather dye or conditioner to fix the blemish. Was informed that since I didn't purchase the warranty they couldn't provide the dye. I told them I was willing to purchase it and they still refused to provide it. Very poor customer satisfaction. I wanted to pick them up at the store. Major issue. Sales man went to check with manager and came back and said they needed to be delivered to my home (additional $30). I live 2 blocks away. I should have known better than to order from RTG. It's taken me 11 years to order anything from them and just like last time piss poor customer service after you spend money in there. They talk big and promise but they do not deliver what they say to their customers. There is absolutely no customer service. I will NEVER spend another dime with this company again. So far the customer service in store is great! However the delivery part sucks! Not impressed at all! A little over a year a go, I purchased a sectional. I specifically remember the salesman tell me the setup at time of delivery was included in the price, yet.... the dropped everything in my living room with the wrapping still! Rug and all. I had to set everything up myself. I went back last weekend to purchase a console. It arrived Wednesday with a hole in the back. I was told customer service would be contacting me the same day to set up a repair visit. Today is Friday and nobody has called me. I had to call myself. The nice representative who helped me set it up for me. In conclusion, if I don't call them myself, nothing would have been done. This will be my last purchase! Buyer Beware!!!! If you shop at rooms to go in spite of my warning you think back to this review and tell yourself I've been warned. We recently spent 6k at a rooms to go store. About 60 percent of our furniture was delivered just fine. We chose a king size bed that cost 1600 and it was on back order and we agreed that we would wait the 3 months until it came in. On delivery day we were like finally we can stop sleeping with our mattress on the ground. The guys came in and assembled the bed and stop when they realized they had the wrong legs for the slats. We were still pretty understanding and said that's fine we'll talk to customer service and we spoke to customer service and they said that they will order them. Cool. We're still patient understanding. Three weeks and multiple calls later that each take 30min a piece due to waiting on hold, they finally say they can't order the legs and that they would send someone over to cut the original ones. Laughable. We just told them that they can come pick the bed up. Oh no they replied you have to talk to the store for that. Fine. We call the store and after haggling they agreed to pick up the bed. They have a date that they can come pick it up about a week later. The folks show up at 930 At night on a school night to come pick up the bed. They bring the wrong tools. The next day they come and pick it up. For real this time. Now we are sitting 9 days since bed pick up and they still haven't sent us our refund. STAY CLEAR OF ROOMS TO GO. read more

The store is fine and we had nice sales people. My issue is the delivery service. Dear Rooms to GO. We had furniture delivered here on Sunday February 22, 2019 at around 1PM. The furniture is fine however when the delivery semi that was parked in front of our house pulled away it was noticed when we went outside at 3 pm our brick mailbox was knocked over into the neighbors. We called the police and filed a report. Because there was no audible crash or tire marks the police stated that the semi must have nicked it as that is the only thing strong enough to topple the brick enclosed mailbox without having other reported issues. We called customer service who put us in touch with the claims people. Here it April 17, 2019 and nothing has been done. We submitted photos and bids and no one will follow up. I have talked to the customer service department several times as well as my husband Chris Baucom who have been very nice with the last call being April 9, 2019. Emily stated he supervisor sent the issue to the claims area supervisor and said they would be contacting us as they were escalating the issue. She apologized as she herself could not believe this was going unresolved for so long. Unfortunately we have yet to hear from anyone. Lissette Galvez is the Claims administrator assigned to us. The last time she contacted my husband Chris Baucom was back in March. She does not respond to emails and the phone number listed to contact her is bogus. Its shameful. Our claim number is 8366729. We have been patient and fair but this is not right. What is sad is your customer service agents agree but cannot help. We are unable to get mail delivered to our home as well. Rooms to Go I'm still shocked. Didn't think I would get what I got from a furniture store. First, I shopped all over town for a new mattress. Mattress Firm, Sleep Experts, etc. Checked out Rooms to Go to gain bargaining power at a mattress store. Ended up buying a top of the line TemperPedic for two thousand less than best price I could get on a lesser bed at the other stores. But that's not even the best part. The salesman, Johnnie Knight, was great throughout the process. Patient and explained everything while asking lots of questions to get us the best deal on exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend asking for him by name. But the real exception came after the sale. The Sat delivery had a problem. Bed platform didn't work. I was mad. Called the store. 30 minutes later Johnnie and the Manager, Victor, knocked on my door and fixed the bed. Synced the remote, set the level, and boom, I'm fixed. Perfect bed, great price, unbelievable customer service. I'm shocked. I have no vested interest in writing this review other than knowing had I read this review, I would have "started" at Rooms to Go and not have been inches away from buying somewhere else and missing out on the best deal. I still can't believe they came to my house to make sure I was good to go. AFTER the sale. Yes, I highly recommend Rooms to Go. read more

Called Rooms to Go to file a claim. They sent out a technician and all he did was come in and put stain on the furniture and the dresser that I was wanting to get fixed all he did was take a few pics and tell me that someone else was going to call me because he could not fix it. My daughter has spilled something on the top and we could not get it off. So a month went by and had not heard back so I called to follow up. Turns out that it's not covered. Keep in mind I have been a customer for many years and have at least 5 rooms with furniture from Rooms to Go with the protection plan from Fortegra. Well they are not going to fix anything and I'm SOL. It's a waist of money. Because all they did was something I could have done on my own with a bottle of stain. The sales person had said that they covered everything. Turns out they didn't. So don't waist your money on it. It's not worth it. I'm very disappointed at the service I had gotten from them. And will be taking my money else where going forward. This is unacceptable and they should educate the sales people on what is and what is not covered in the protection plan. read more
