Anothee great "hole in the wall" breakfast/lunch spot! Plenty of seating and both street and nearby parking ramp options. Friendly and prompt staff and a variety of menu options. I can't recommend the breakfast quesadilla enough!!

2 waffles w/ homemade cream cheese in the center, real maple syrup

Literally leaving this review as I've had my first bite of hands down the best waffles I've ever had. Hands down THE best breakfast place in TBay, don't miss out!

Definitely one of the better places in Thunder Bay I have been for breakfast. Ample seating for groups and clean surroundings. Menu has plenty of offerings. I think their specialty are "Benny's" which are basically Eggs Benedicts with different fillings/toppings. Otherwise you can get your omelete or Finn pancake fix here. Quality of food that comes out of the kitchen is pretty good. I would definitely return.

I love this place! I always order their fried egg grilled cheese and hollandaise sauce on the side. It's just the perfect day off breakfast for me!

Excellent food and service! I tend to have high standards, but I would recommend this place to anyone passing through in a heartbeat.

We asked for a table near the window, so we could look out and enjoy the view of the bay but it needed to be cleared. The waitress seamed irritated by this and told us to go sit in the lobby and wait until it was clear. A second waitress came to seat us was not as grumpy but still seamed a bit off. We ordered a burger and a salad, basic items. The burger was overcooked, we asked for a salad with mixed green garden lettuce, but it was served with just Romain lettuce, And finally, we found a hair in the salad. They took 20% off the bill but it was still gross. I heard the table behind us behind us complaining about their food as well and they got 20% knocked off their bill for something that went wrong. We were definitely disappointed with the high prices that this restaurant charges and the quality of food we were presented with With so many incredible restaurants within walking distance, being in this high-end neighborhood and associated with the Marriott hotels, this restaurant is way off brand.

Great space as well. They have a BBQ theme for the meats and this results in some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. And I am well travelled. The menu is reasonably priced which is a pleasant surprise. Besides one cranky server the service from the staff has been great.

We were there for a nice, relaxed meal and we were not rushed to order which was appreciated. We got cocktails to start - Amethyst Mine and Cucumber Basil Smash. I enjoyed the Amethyst Mine but my partner indicated he would not order the Cucumber Basil Smash again. My main course was the Novemburger with salad and my partner's was the rigatoni. The presentation was great; I really liked the dishes! I am not great at describing flavours, so I will just say this - the Novemburger was the BEST burger that I have ever had. It was SO flavourful. The beef patty was delicious. The rigatoni was good, but my partner said he wished he got the Novemburger, too. After our main courses, we got dessert and coffee. Cannot recall what exactly the dessert was called but it was some sort of matcha tart. It was creamy and delicious, but the best part was the pastry. So good!

I have had these items before and loved them. The Fritto Misto had more vegetables and shrimp than calamari and the Brussels sprouts in the dish were tough. The pizza seemed undercooked and the crust was not a thin pizza crust but seemed to be a tortilla. I know that restaurants are facing difficulty in this economy. But if the restaurant cannot maintain its reputation it is time to alter the menu.

Continuing our motorhome trip to escape the Texas heat, we are in Kakabeka Falls at Happy Land RV…read morePark. We always ask locals and consult Yelp when looking for places to eat and have local/craft beer. We decided on Madhouse. It was a great experience. At first we weren't sure about eating there, so we sat at the bar to have a beer and look at the menu. The bartender was immediately cordial and welcoming. As we enjoyed a hazy IPA we struck up a conversation with her and looked at the menu. Another guy was at the bar and we struck up a conversation with him. The bartender and waitstaff seemed to know him well, so I asked if he worked there. He was the head chef. By the time we ate and left it was like we were old friends. Really enjoyed talking with them and getting some ideas for an early dinner. We decided to start with the beer cheese, nothing like I have ever experienced. It was very good and the pretzels were hot and fresh. An excellent appetizer. Then we split and order of tacos. Since the chicken tacos were a special of the day, we split an order of two and a side of fries. Does Canada celebrate Taco Tuesday? The tacos were excellent and a delicious twist on the ones we are accustomed to in Texas. We enjoyed the entire visit...food, beer, and conversation. I gave them each an American two dollar bill and they had never seen one. Win Win. I highly recommend this place. The bar became busy and cheerful, but not loud and boisterous. I'm glad we went there.
