Delicious and speedy coffee at its best. This drive through is extremely efficient which is exactly what I need first thing in the morning. They don't mess around. I was the second car in line and an employee came outside to ask me what she could get started. When I pulled up to the window my mocha was ready and I had just a few moment to read my daily horoscope and comic strip (nice touch) before zooming onto I5. I've skipped over them in the past when I've seen three cars waiting but next time I'll hop in line knowing they'll blast through them and help us working stiffs punch that clock with the caffeine we need. Drove by this stand all the time, there was always a huge line. Now I know why. Great coffee at an amazing price and so fast! My favorite drink is $1 cheaper than at any other stand or coffee shop in Seattle (which may not seem like a lot but that 30%)! I think they have the biggest Latte in the area...Great quad shot drinks, which revs me up. I love the drive through, its right before you get in line to sit on the freeway for an hour. Snacks are so so, but the coffee is great. My girlfriend likes the hot chocolate as well. read more

I MISS THIS PLACE SO MUCH! ::deep breath:: Having said that, they rock. To the guy who said their coffee is mild, well yes... it doesn't taste burnt or bitter. It is smooth, almost fruity and mellow in the very best way. Plus they don't go overboard with the syrups (thank you!!!) Their baristas are wonderfully trained and SUPER friendly/genuinely nice. I've never caught one having a bad day. It was the highlight of my morning before going into work. Great location, right before the freeway entrance. I noticed the line wasn't long one morning so I stopped by one day when I had some extra time. The barista's are efficient; I was in and out in minutes. My latte was good, would come back again. read more

Hooray! Seriously one of the BEST things about moving to Seattle is that I can drive thru for awesome hot beverages. I love the Americano- I heart it very very much. This is the local shack near me that serves up some yummy drinks. I have tried other drive thrus and this is the best I have found. On a side note- a few years ago when I lived in the Chicago 'burbs, they put in a "fancy" Lavazza coffee drive thru and no one knew how to use it- people were seriously confused about why/how to use a coffee drive thru- Just like my 2 yr old, Seattle is sooooo advanced! I heart you Rooster and your roasters. Plus, my lovely Rooster, you don't feel the need to put a HUGE ad on your cups- they are sweet white ad-free cups- nice job Rooster. Also Rooster, I love that you put a sticker over the hole on the coffee cup so that it dosen't spill when I drive onto the on ramp of I-5. Try Rooster- you will not be sorry. The address on this is wrong- I tried to change it but it hasn't gone thru so far. This place is a white and red shack on the corner of 12th and Lake City Way- right as you can get on the express or the reg. on ramp to I-5. Very friendly ladies. Croissant breakfast sandwich likely prefrozen...definitely need to try the burrito, but otherwise mocha was standard fare, not bad at all. Would definitely come back and try the burrito. read more

Very good, but the coffee is rather MILD. Don;t get me wrong I stop here whenever I drive by, truly a great place for a decent price.

It's so convenient (unless there is a line) to just pull off before jumping on the freeway on the way to work all day. The coffee is always great and the service is always friendly. For the same drink I get at a "local famous chain" for 6.25, I get here for almost $2 cheaper. The only drawbacks are; the line can move slow and when I'm in a rush it's not possible to stop. I also would like to see them invest in some new cleaner shot glasses, I know they're clean but after a while the stains make it look really dirty. But those are minor and only one can prob be changed, a line is a line. read more

I have been to a couple coffee shops and this one is def. one of the best. Coffee is very good for the price. I work downtown and live of Lake City Way. So it is perfect location to grab a quick coffee before going to work. Staff is very nice and know their way around a coffee cup! read more

A bit pricey for a tall latte ($3) but love the drive thru.... we need more of these in North Seattle. I'd rate the latte as 3 stars.

So I really like the place. Amazing coffee, consistently. Really good prices, nice staff. But I do have one gripe. It says they open at 5:30 AM. I leave my apartment (about a mile up the road) at 5:30 AM. Most of the time, they are not open yet while I'm on my way to work. I don't know if they had an employee with transportation issues or what. The last few days it's been open on time. But often they aren't. Which is sad because I work 12 hour shifts that start at 6 am. I NEED coffee at that ungodly hour of the morning and there are no other convenient coffee places between home and work. So when they're open, they're great! read more

I used to love this coffee stand and would come every single day but had to stop. My coffee started tasting gross and something was wrong with the shots every single time I went. I stopped going for a few months and then started going again to give it another chance and still same thing. I gave it about three more tries... All three times the same guy was working. The shots tasted gross and my drink was undrinkable. Also, when I ordered my drink the guy working there acted confused. I just wanted a blended mocha with soy. He wasn't very friendly and I was super disappointed. Maybe he was annoyed because I was getting a blended drink but either way he has horrible customer service. I will not be returning now. It makes me sad because the two girls (one of them the owner or manager) helped me in the mornings for the longest time and they were awesome and their drinks were fabulous. read more
