Today, not so good. The coffee is great, don't get me wrong, and the prices are more than fair. But Lauren, my barista today (1/5/2026), seemed joyless, almost pissed that I showed up. Not a hint of a smile, and I like a smile with my coffee. Harley, Cathy, Darius, the other baristas, are always glad to see me, and I don't get up this way but once or twice a month. But Lauren--I don't know. Maybe she doesn't like me for some reason, I am perfectly polite, maybe she hates her job, but today she was like, robotic. Put a damper on the rest of my day. To Lauren--I hope things go better for you. Tomorrow will be a brighter day. And don't forget that smile that I have seen in you before. read more

Have to agree with other reviewers, good coffee, cheap prices, but absolutely atrocious customer service 50% of the time.

I come here often. One of my fav spots, the coffee is so good. I love whatever bean it is they be using. The top banana produce is also top tier. Staff is also amazing!! The environment is very chill and welcoming. read more

I didn't pay attention to this place. But a couple of days ago I decided to stop by. Very cheap prices, I haven't seen 16 oz coffee for 1.80 in a long time. I've already tried muffins, coffee and latte here twice. Very tasty muffins, although I'm not a fan. I recommend that the latte take a doable shot. Everything else is delicious. The coffee here is great and the prices can't be beat. The people who work here are so friendly and wonderful, and I really appreciate that I can walk up with my dog (who they always give a biscuit) or drive through. They're also very fast. Drive by here all the time and for whatever reason I never went thru the drive thru to get coffee, which I drink a lot of. Stopped by today and found the service to be great and quick. Also I found their prices to be lower that anyone Elise's in Seattle!! Brand of coffee was very good. I will be making my daily coffee commute to this place. One heads up is they only take cash. The people that work there are JERKS. Not friendly at all, I don't plan on going back. The food and drinks are okay but the costumer service is so bad that I can't even enjoy it. I was just trying to have a good day and they ruined it forever. First night in Seattle from out of town. Walked to this coffee shop at 5:30am from my friends house and ordered a 12 oz latte. Went to pay and the lady says they don't take card. I told her im sorry im from out of town and didn't bring cash. So there i went no coffee. I hope the rest of seattle is more welcoming than Jumping Jimmy's. Took a Lyft to Starbucks. Super nice staff, affordable and great coffee. Baked goods are awesome too! It's cash only and lattes tend to be on the sweeter side. This is just a block from my apartment so I've enjoyed a lot of the menu so far, there's plenty of flavors and a few specialty drinks. I used to go here all the time, the Italian sodas are great, and I love their muffins but recently nearly every single time I go, they are always closed or don't have any employees inside, despite claiming they're open on the sign that lists their hours and having the open sign on. Jumping Jimmy's, located next to the fabulous Top Banana produce super store, is the hub for caffeine deficient high school students and workers of the world heading to their jobs. I used to love "the stand" as I call it, good service, good coffee, good vibe. It has fallen from the high perch it sat on in my heart. Let's begin with the blond dragon. She is a barista with more attitude than Sid Vicious. A friend of mine ordered a latte with hazelnut syrup one morning and the barista snapped at her with the comment that syrup rots your teeth. I ordered my quad shot vanilla latte and the other spacey and always PMS-ing brunette barista "accidentally" gave me 6 shots and raised the price of the drink because of her mistake. All in all a sad loss. If you are forced to go there I recommend sticking with drip coffee and ducking when the dragon spits fire. read more

Jumpin' Jimmy's is where I start every weekday morning. Whether they are slammed or slow, the service is great and the drip coffee I order is always hot and fresh. They get their grounds from Cafe Umbria (I'm pretty sure this is still true) which is a dark enough roast to get me through the morning, but wouldn't be my first choice if I am brewing at home. They only accept cash or checks, which helps the line move fast, and because they don't have new baristas every two weeks, the ladies who serve your beverage will get to know your usual drink pretty quickly - this also helps the line move fast. They'll often have drinks ready by the time you reach the window. Jumpin' Jimmy's offers great service (I do miss Sarah, though), good coffee, and a nice way to start the day! read more

So yeah, I'm not even sure who their roaster is, but it'll do whoever it is. My high marks for Jumpin' Jimmy's are based on location, price, signage, and speeeeeeed. It's right by my bus stop, and the girls are so fast that even if I can see my bus cresting the top of the hill a few blocks away, I am still safe to order my latte because it'll be in my paw in under 30 seconds. A double tall flavored latte is under three bucks. It's pushing five at Starbucks. And although the mermaid is sort of cool (or used to be before it came to symbolize corporate domination), Starbucks can't compare to Jumpin' Jimmy's grinning donkey signage. read more

I used to come here daily when my schedule permitted it. It was a love wall from my house and the baristas are always welcoming and offer my dog a treat. Good coffee, and I met the owner once who was just a local guy trying to make a living on his produce store and coffee stand. Very friendly and down to earth atmosphere. My boyfriend and I love this spot. It's walking distance from his place so on a nice day it's fun to walk over and get a drink. They have really good italian sodas as well as a great selection of flavors. Truly the only complaint is they close early, 3pm/4pm depending on the day. I'm sorry to have to say this as a long time customer... but for the first time I walked up to get a coffee really early while walking my dog. Usually I go in the afternoon and one of the girls who works there is very nice. There are a couple of others who are okay but seem like they would rather not be there. But today I walked and brought my credit card forgetting that they do not take cards. So as I approached the walk up window realizing I had no cash the owner was working, I know this because I have been going there for well over 5 years. She was helping someone and I told here that I had walked up there with only a credit card. She didnt say much which is fine because I do not expect anything for free and I am only 4 blocks away. I walked an extra six blocks to try the coffee here dated being ignored at Blue Dog. Well worth it! The two women in the shack were efficiently working, and my drink was done in a flash, with no skimping on the courtesy. Well, since there are reviews for literally every coffee place in town, I thought we really should have Jimmy's in there. Jumpin' Jimmy's is the drive through/walk up espresso/coffee stand on the Southeast corner of the Top Banana lot. It's owned by Jimmy Wild and run by some pretty doggone competent baristas. The coffee here is always good, the snacks always fresh. Its a great way to start out the day. And man oh man, you gotta go by there and see how fast those girls crank out the espressos. You can just tell they've made a million of them! My girls love the hot chocolate, and they always have a treat for the dog, so it's a real family affair! read more

My wife, me, and my dog love this place and we go there almost every day. Everyone is friendly, they serve great coffee (half the price of Starbucks ) and they like my dog. He knows when we pull in, he'll get a biscuit. Plus, you're right next to Top Banana, so go in get some fresh produce and say hi. It's a one stop corner that we need to keep in business. I don't know why on earth it's taken me so long to walk across the street and try this place. I finally stopped by this week, and I was pretty impressed with the prices. $2.55 for a double tall latte is about a buck cheaper than the standard. It's Umbria coffee, which is good, but my favorite latte still lives at Equal Exchange down the street. Nice to know I can quickly get my morning coffee right at my bus stop -- location, location, location. I'll keep swinging by as long as I live in the neighborhood. It'd be super cool if they offered a few more food items (can I get a witness on a breakfast sand?), but it's awesome as-is. Super fast and nice service, too. read more

I have been going to this drive through coffee shop for 10 years. it is awesome. there is great coffee, the staff is friendly, and the staff NEVER LEAVES to work elsewhere and they say positive things about their employer. The prices are honestly so reasonable that I "tip extra" at Jumpin' Jimmy's. The gals that work here are so damn cool it's ridiculous. I have forgotten my wallet before and they've given me "store credit account" to pay later just like at the Olsen's General Store in the TV show Little House on the Prairie.
