    Chai Latte

Jewel box cafe is a super cute option for anyone looking for something with a unique element from other cafes. They have specialty crepes here and many drinks to choose from. You order at the front and I got a chai and a veggie crepe. The crepe itself was super filling and have great quality veggies. I do wish that all of the vegetables were more spread out evenly and they put pepper on the top and it was a bit too much for me. The chai was warm and comforting and I really enjoyed. The workers were also nice and I spent a couple hours in there studying and no one complained. I am excited to come back for their paninis!

Drinks - the drink selection was good and I really liked the blended chai boba I got. My partner got the normal milk tea and liked it as well. The boba was well done here - not too squishy or chewy. The chai was really tasty! Service - very speedy and efficient! When I asked for a recommendation of boba or chai they recommended a blended chai with boba. That was perfect! Ambiance - it's kind of a cute and interesting little spot. Not a ton of seating but it has a fire place, books, and a few board games you can take over to the booths and tables.

Amazing Red Bull Italian soda and a comfortable, cozy vibe inside the cafe. A great place to spend a few hours reading.

Crepe was really great. My husband's bagel was small. Service was good. Small fun atmosphere.

Could this accomodate a party of 11 or is this too cramped?

Probably call ahead and see if management can accomodate. There's a room off to the left or if weather cooperates, you and your group could take all the outdoor seating.

The girls at the front were so friendly and nice - they made my experience great. Service was incredibly fast. The drink was ready before I even finished paying! I got the toffee milk tea with matcha jelly at 30% sugar and 70% ice. This was the IDEAL combination. Perfectly sweet with a hint of the bitterness from the tea. The matcha jelly was firm and earthy, I broke it up with the straw and it was the perfect topping. One of the best milk teas I've had in a while. I will definitely be back to try their other flavors. I'm a huge fan of the tea jelly toppings and it's so refreshing on a hot day.

The boba here is perfectly chewy and sweetened. I am not much of a jelly person, but they're pretty good too. I once got a drink with both boba and jelly and it didn't leave much room for the tea, so I have to limit myself to one topping now! The black tea is slightly muted with the milk there, so that there's no astringency. The buckwheat tea has a pretty strong toasty buckwheat flavor. Yum! Initially, when this business opened, parking was horrible with people jousting for street parking (with an already busy Goodwill down the street) and people parking at the plaza across the street (which will get you towed). Now that the hype has died down, you can use the Ember parking garage around the corner, although it's kind of annoying to park in.

The two times I was there, they gave me samples of tea to try. AMBIANCE 5/5 Very limited seatings but if you were lucky like me, you will enjoy sipping tea here. Bright, clean and very lively esp on weekends (meaning long line! lol). DRINKS 5/5 The first time I had the "Osmanthus Mango" (did not quite remember the name) and the 2nd time "Bee My Plum". Both drinks were excellent. Funnily, this ChiCha and a couple of other places would be something I miss in Bellevue.

While…read morethey serve some of the best boba, the tea flavor tastes a bit diluted compared to what I noted in my previous review. Because they brew each cup on order, I expected the tea to be more apparent, but in every drink I've tried it takes a backseat to other flavors. + DONG DING OOLONG TEA LATTE: I opted for light sugar and light ice. Despite being one of the most popular drinks, the tea flavor was weak and the cream dominated. It had a smooth consistency with subtle caramel notes, so it still tasted good, but I would have loved for the tea to shine more. At least the $1 addition of boba is pretty generous and I had enough for every sip! It was perfectly cooked with that nice chewy bounce. Since the boba itself is sweetened, going to 0% sweetness would probably be just sweet enough for me. + OSMANTHUS TEA w/ PASSIONFRUIT: Again, this leaned heavily toward the passionfruit rather than delivering a distinct tea flavor. (Side note: At the register, I received a sample of the High Mountain Pouchong Tea with Mango. This was sweet, super fruity and reminded me of mango nectar. It's really delicious, but only had a tiny hint of green tea.) + OSMANTHUS OOLONG HONEY TEA: I selected light sugar and light ice without toppings, hoping to taste the pure tea. I picked up the floral notes of the Osmanthus and the tea flavor came through a wee bit more than the other drinks, though still wasn't the dominant flavor. The amount of honey was on the verge of being too sweet, but the drink overall was refreshing and crisp. The new location in Bellevue Square is very clean with a few tables for two along the wall. It is consistently busy, so just be prepared for a wait. However, there are multiple employees preparing the drinks, so while the line appears long, they churn out orders pretty quickly without getting flustered. It's impressive! Given the steep pricing for the cup size and the weak tea flavor, Chicha San Chen wouldn't be my go-to spot considering all the other boba tea options in Bellevue.

The drink was yummy, I've had better rose milk tea but I was satisfied and it was tasty. I give a 3.5 stars but round up as the location is large, good menu options with food and drink, accessible to bus stops, and my drink was good so I will round up to 4 stars. The cons are a lot of flies, especially in the bathroom. Dead flies in the bathroom soap, flying in your face in the bathroom, lobby has clean tables but dusty floors and windows with many dead fruit flies, large flies, and insects. More than 20 dead flies. Luckily in the lobby they don't fly in your face like the bathroom. I notice the front door states to customer please keep it closed so maybe some it is the area and out of their control? I still sat inside for a while and finished my drink in lobby to stay out of the sun for a bit and so did other groups. Staff was hard working. Seemed a lot of online food orders they needed to complete and that they prioritized. Tea Addicts has good menu options and it's a good tea spot in the area near the buses and the Whole Foods.
