Another good experience at Roosters. We were starving and happy Roosters stays open late. We ordered Parmesan garlic wings, pizza, dumpster wedges and fried mushrooms. Everything was fresh out kitchen. The mushrooms were good, it needs a dipping sauce. The staff was quick and friendly even though we came in somewhat late. The only negative was the fish sandwich. I had half salad with chicken In buffalo sauce. It was a large portion mostly lettuce. The topping were cut up a bit too small. The chicken was a large portion tossed in sauce. This large serving filled me up for lunch. read more

I was recommended by a friend to try the wings. He didn't tell me how big these were....they were delicious and 10 would've been enough for dinner! Only "compliant" was service was not that good. Assuming it was somebody new, but not attentive and the drink from the bar was not what I expected. Was told that the bartender made a whiskey crush which is on the menu! Went for the first time tonight. 79¢ wings on Monday so we decided to give it a shot. Nice environment inside, kind of gave a Texas Roadhouse vibe. Went during NFL playoffs and TV situation was great. Boneless wings were huge, and pretty good, probably better than BWW. Menu looked good although I only had the wings. A friend got the Caesar wrap and said it was "phenomenal." For what it is, from the service to the food, it deserves its 5 stars. read more

Low lighting on the inside, full of TVs, and plenty of booths. Food came out somewhat promptly, but it was worth it for how hot and fresh the chicken was. Wish their ketchup was corn syrup, free. Annoying having the chicken come out in baskets so you will cut through the parchment paper on top of the plastic bowl if you try to cut your chicken tenders. Hope they will have a garlic Parmesan sauce soon. Curly fries had absolutely no seasoning what so ever- I would definitely ask to have Cajun seasoning on your fries as well as your tenders. Staff was friendly. Chintzy on the cheese and bacon if you order a cheesy bacon fry. Water pressure in the bathroom was subpar. read more

We attended Roosters for lunch. Myself, my son and my mother. Our service was wonderful, and everything was absolutely delicious for our fried food and salad fix. Roosters has a menu that has just about anything and everything you could want! If everyone in your party feels like something different, Roosters probably has it all! The restaurant was clean and though it was some what busy our food came out quickly! I love this new location. We ate inside but they have a large beautiful patio as well! And I can't not mention how sweet the front staff were. My son saw the giant gum ball machine but we came up empty handed in our search for one and before we could get out the door, one of the staff had a quarter for him. The food was good however they up charged for every little thing. I ordered buffalo wings and the blue cheese dressing and celery plus getting two different flavors on a 10 piece. We're all $1.00 up charged each. l feel that's a bit pity. I mean don't wings come with dressing and celery. read more

This food is okay. The Chicken Wings aren't anything really special but they are not bad. They have breading on them that holds a lot of oil. Their sauces and Nashville Hot seasoning is not very hot at all. Most places I like mild or medium and here I had to go up to Donkey to get some heat. Nice atmosphere and great patio! Ordered 10 traditional wings with honey bbq sauce and deluxe nachos with chicken for an appetizer that I shared with my husband. The nachos were amazing. There was a variety of flavor in the number of different types of toppings and the chips were absolutely covered with toppings. We actually had extra toppings at the end, which I won't complain about because I hate when there's not enough toppings for the chips. The wings were much larger than I expected, so I barely finished half of them and took the rest home. The bbq sauce was very sweet and delicious on its own; I requested ranch as a side but ended up not really using it. For bar food, this place is always good and consistent. We went on a very very busy night and I dreaded it. I knew it would take forever to get seated let alone order. They told us the wait would be 20 minutes- but we sat in less than 8 minutes. Our waitress was hoping and our drinks came out promptly, appetizers and food were super fast despite the full house. We walked out less than 50 minutes later. Great experience when you want some wings! read more

My suggestion, as a chef with over 20 years experience is that you immediately slash your menu by 2/3 and stop buying frozen garbage. I find it astounding that this place has managed to stay open as there is no way people are coming there for the food. Horrific! read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!!!!!! My very great friend had just got to town from a 3 year voyage. I chose roosters for a beer after a long time apart... never again!!!! There were actual bugs in my glass when they set it in front of me at the bar. The bartender working was horribly rude, and I saw workers drinking on the job. I understand this is not a fine dining establishment or a place to hold any responsibility for their lack of training.. but I was SO embarrassed that this was the service received. Holy cow these wings are huge! We ordered wings, trash fries and a Buffalo pizza. The wings were awesome! They're big and well cooked. A lot of places give you wings that are fatty and rubbery or little crispy critters. Roosters cooked these wings perfectly! This is one of the best value casual American restaurants in Lexington. The atmosphere neat, with a lot of decor and signage to look at. The place feels clean and well taken care of. Most importantly, I am impressed with the pricing and abundance of tasty options. The breading on the chicken is different than other places, and may not be to everyones preference, but I like it. The food was somehow both greasy and oily, which, to their credit, is an amazing technical achievement. By the time I left I was filled, not with nutrition, but with despair. I usually don't give a restaurant 5 stars but this trip to roosters definitely deserves this rating. To start out I was with of group of 8 people and we were seated outside. We ordered 3 apps. Fried pickles, dumpster fries and the pretzel. I can honestly say that all 3 of them were delicious. After having such great apps I was worried that my entree would not be up to par. For my dinner I had a meat lover pizza. The crust was baked perfectly with just the right amount of crisp, the topping were evenly distributed across and it was smothered in cheese. I didn't have any complaints. Dinner for my wife and I was right at $20. I will definetly be going back. Next time I'm getting the wings!! Sorry, I didn't take any pics. read more

Quite possibly the worst boneless wings I've ever had in my life. It legit took me a good 5 min to eat part of one and swallow. So bad I couldn't finish the other 4 1/2. My fiancé ate 2 of his and that was it. I. Pretty sure they pre-cook the nuggets, then microwave them when someone orders and toss n the sauce. The service was the only saving grace. The dumpster fries were equally incredible...all of their sauces are very tasty. for what portions you get, their prices are good. I don't even want to give them a star. I was seated at 11:30, and was told immediately "we close in 30 minutes." Proceeds to take 15 minutes to get my food to me, and rushes us to eat and get out. Then, as we were leaving at 12:00, I was asked "have you guys worked in a restaurant?" after i said "yes" she said "interesting have a GREAT night." Got seated right away. 20 minutes after ordering our waitress stopped by the table to tell us that our food was given to another table and they were starting up our new food and the manager would be by. 15 minutes later the manager brings us our food and apologizes by giving us 50% off. We jokingly questioned if the table that got our food questioned getting the wrong food. The manager seemed surprised to hear that question and said "I'm not sure...I'm going to have to find out which table got it and give them 50% off as well." The food was ok...not great.
