I ordered the three buffalo chicken sliders with tater tots on the side. The chicken sliders were very good -- flavorful and satisfying -- though I do wish the bread had been toasted a bit more. The tater tots were solid; you really can't go wrong with those. One downside was the service. For the number of people dining at the time, I was surprised by how slow it was. Nothing terrible, just noticeably slower than expected. Overall, it's still always worth a shot. The food is pretty good, but the prices have definitely gone up, which makes the experience feel a little less of a value than it used to. read more

When we arrived, we were told to seat ourselves via the sign. Clean and nice indoor area with a bar. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. We had the buffalo chicken quesadilla with ranch and sour cream (very thick) as well as chives, beautifully sprinkled on top for our "starter". It was rich and full of flavor. For our main course, we had the three buffalo chicken sliders. They had a bit more spice to them than the quesadilla did, but still delicious and well cooked, however could have been a bit more crisp. On the side was mac & cheese with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on top. This was rich and creamy, but a bit of salt and pepper would've accentuated the flavor even more. Another side that we had french fries, these french fries were crinkle fries and well, seasoned with salt and pepper. They were well crispy. If I were to come again, I would just get the buffalo chicken quesadilla over the three buffalo chicken sliders. I enjoyed the fact that the toilet paper was set up in the bathroom. I can't really explain it but once he go go, you will see ha ha however, the tapwater pressure was substantially weak. read more

Stopped in yesterday for lunch and met a friend. We sat at the main bar. I ordered the Sriracha wings which are one of my favorites. The wings came out hot and crispy. I had a side of celery, which was fresh and crisp and ranch for dipping. Everything was delicious. I had a Kona Big Wave beer which was ice cold. A good pairing with my wings. Our food came out quick and for the most part the service was good. We did have a little trouble getting our bartenders attention when we were ready to cash out. I had the club, it was fine. The cole slaw in the place needs to be changed, I never liked it from day 1. It is very roughly chopped, hard to eat and has hardly any dressing making it very dry, they also put too much vinegar in it. See pics below, one piece of cabbage in the slaw was as big as a potato chip. One of the waiters named Janillson had sooo much cologne on, every time he walked pass me I wanted to gag. Went here as looked like a clean safe place to grab a late dinner. Turns out this is a very interesting hot spot with a huge local beer collection and some very interesting mocktails. To top this off, in addition to having fancy dressed burgers there was a selection of sushi. As a rule, I don't recommend raw fish at places that are not special: I will stick with that for this Kentucky-based chain restaraunt. That Saud, there is a huge selection of cooked fish rolls that are interesting. The surf and turf we tried was quite tasty and memorable, as was the shrimp tempura small plate. Today was the first time I have ever eaten at Drake's--it was a recommendation from my boyfriend (who loves it). Sam, the server, was kind, but the service was so terrible that it was quite honestly the worst experience I've had at a sit down restaurant. We were greeted by someone in training (after sitting there looking around for almost 20 minutes) who brought us waters, then Sam came to take our orders--another 15 minutes later, even though we were obviously not seated in his section (Thank you Sam). Our drinks from the bar took forever to get to us and only arrived about 10 minutes before our food, and when I unwrapped my silverware to eat said food, my silver was dirty. As I was eating, I overheard the bartender ask a server, "You're still here?" to which the server replied, "Everyone is." If none of your servers were cut for the night, why in the world was the service so terrible? For this to be a newer location, the management needs to do better. I am sorely disappointed in this location and I don't think I'll be returning, at least not to this specific location. read more

Been to this Drakes location at least 5 times since it has opened and we are excited to have this establishment on our side of town. Service has been great each time we have gone! Can't go wrong with any of the minis on the menu - Buffalo chicken are my favorites, but the burgers are a close second. LOVE that we now have a sushi option close by. Midori roll is amazing and such a great price. Great rotating beer list and monthly specials. Drakes is a well oiled operation and we are so happy to have it open on our side of town! That being said - turn on the audio for sports games....especially NFL on Sunday's. I mean, aren't y'all a sports bar?! Also, invest in additional, better quality high chairs. Nice place. Waitress very nice and helpful. Ordered twin medallions medium. They were undercooked. Waitress took them back and got us another plate. We were asked to cut into the steak; the waitress said, before I did, oh gosh, that's like rare and offers to take it back again. I said no because everyone else was almost done eating by this time. They did take my meal off the check which was nice. Others in our party had the burgers. Burgers were average. The funniest thing is that we got an order of fried pickles. They were the best thing we had. And that would have been great except for the mystery items in the basket. We got three things in the basket that were fried that weren't pickles. One was chicken, and honestly, we aren't sure what the other two bites were but they were extremely spicy. It kinda became a joke at the table that it was the mystery basket of appetizers!
