Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was dirty from the moment we sat down. Tables around us were left unbused for our entire meal, trash covered the floors, and the area beneath our table was especially disgusting -- I took photos to document it. What made it worse was watching employees walk right past the mess without doing anything about it. On top of that, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. We used to order carry out from this location all the time but for the last year it's gotten steadily worse. Tonight's experience was the worst yet. Two of the 3 steaks we ordered were so overcooked they were not edible. The 3rd was half well done half medium Well. We asked for all 3 to be Medium Rare. No pink at all. All 3 steaks were totally ruined. Missing sides, missing silverware (that was requested). The salad dressing had a piece of paper or something inside it so we had to throw it out. Tried to call to see about getting this corrected and the staff member that answered the phone just said "uh, hey" like I was calling someone's house, then handed me off to another person before she told me their manager left a while ago and would have to call me tomorrow then she just hung up. I won't be expecting that call.... We won't be ordering from this location any more. read more

My family and I went to Texas Roadhouse on Richmond Road in Lexington, KY last night and were seated at a booth. The filth under and around our table should have been our sign to leave immediately. There was food debris and trash all over the floor, which was extremely off-putting. Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. The bathroom was also unkempt and poorly maintained. We then waited over 50 minutes for our food, and by the time it finally arrived, we had lost our appetite altogether. Overall, the service was poor, but the lack of cleanliness throughout the restaurant--including the dining area and bathroom--was unacceptable. This was by far the worst $100 we've spent on a meal. Completely dissatisfied with our lunch today. As usual, we were on the road and thought we'd stop in here since we liked it so much last time. We arrived at 1100, right as they opened. As I've previously mentioned, I'm a big bread person. Unfortunately, all of their rolls were burnt so we asked for some that were not burnt but had to wait for more to be made. Once we were seated, we unwrapped our utensils and one of the forks still had food on it from a previous diner. We were literally their first customers of the day. We ordered the Cactus Blossom and hardly touched it. It tasted like the oil was old and dirty and hadn't been changed in a while. Our salads were good, except I was given 1.5 croutons in mine. We ordered a steak, mid-rare and it was just below a well done. The difference between this steak and the last one we ordered are like night and day (see photos.) We also ordered the chicken critters but by this point we were so disappointed in the food that I didn't take a picture of them. I guess this place is "hit or miss" so we will most likely not risk wasting a lunch stop the next time we pass through here. read more

If you want dead bugs in your food, Texas Roadhouse is the place to go! If you look closely you can see there is a dead bug in the broccoli. I was just casually eating my broccoli until I go for another bite, and spot this critter in my food. I've eaten here many times before, and never had this problem. read more

Sever Donovan was overly sarcastic when he arrived to the table saying "Sorry for the wait you were hiding from me". I was sitting directly across from the bar. Food came out as messy as I've ever seen in my years of eating at TXRH. Served slop without mushrooms. Donovan informed they were out of mushrooms. If known, it should've been communicated. Asked to remove it from the ticket. Manager Paige never returned to our table. Disappointed. Sever apologized, but it doesn't count if service is careless. Avoid this location. My husband and l went on October 9 for lunch. First thing: the peanuts are gone! Not a big deal, but l was surprised. Hostesses were great, our server was excellent. The rolls and cinnamon margarine were delicious. The foods were disappointing! The website still states the lunch menu is $10.99. No, it is not. It's $12.99. My husband ordered the 6 oz. sirloin, medium, with green beans and a baked potato. The sirloin was rare overall, and VERY rare in the center. It was also pretty chewy The green beans were flavorful, but waxy or stringy... l'm not sure exactly what the problem was, but their texture was unpleasant. We both tried them and ended up leaving them. I ordered chicken- fried steak, with gravy. When the food arrived, that piece of meat took up the entire plate! Or, actually, not. The breading was half of the plate. And the gravy was extremely generous, but not very good. It covered the entire plate, but was really sweet. Not a good accompaniment with the meal. One of my sides was mashed potatoes with gravy. I received a small bowl of potato chunks with a blob of potato skin clumped up on one side. Again, the chef was extremely generous with the gravy, which was really sweet. My other side was a small salad which was fine. The service was the best part of the experience read more

The buns here are the best things ever. The butter melts in your mouth and it's just so flavorful, so is the steak. The service is outstanding and that is one thing that will make me come back. The atmosphere in this restaurant is a bit too loud but other than that, I have no complaints. read more

Celebrated my dad's birthday at Texas Roadhouse, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! We used the mobile check-in on their website for the waitlist, which was super easy and saved us time--definitely recommend, but keep in mind everyone has to be there to be seated. We ordered steaks, salads, and a Cactus Blossom (basically their version of the "blooming onion" from the folks down under) and everything was spot-on. The steaks were cooked perfectly, salads fresh, and the Cactus Blossom was as delicious as ever. Service was awesome, too; our server made sure we had everything we needed without missing a beat and they did their birthday song. We also used the table kiosk to check out, which was simple and a cool option. It's different but easy to use--no complaints at all! I always tend to have good food/service here, and the facilities are nice, so no complaints, and the Texas ambiance is definitely there. The reason I'm writing this review though is because of what happened a few days ago. The kitchen inadvertently misplaced our ticket and our food took forever...our wonderful server (named Hailee) apologized multiple times, checked on our food often, and the manager even came and talked to us. As if this weren't enough already they also comped our meal. Huge shout out to how well they handled an issue that could happen anywhere. read more

Food service or quality of food is never the issue but the service of the front of house staff is less than desirable. I cannot remember a time (in years) that I have approached the front staff help that they have been genuinely welcoming. I have worked in the food industry and it can feel stressful (I get it, I do)- however when the hostess doesn't even make eye contact with you and you feel like more of a bother than anything else, that is an issue. I think it's only right to give feedback on this because this isn't fair to your hardworking serving staff or the kitchen staff to have this experience be the "regular" at your Richmond Road location. Tonight, we came to celebrate my son's 10th birthday per his request but we ended up leaving before being seated due to this experience. Service was good and friendly, but I wasn't satisfied at all with my steak. I don't like to leave bad reviews, I typically use this app to leave positive ones, but I wasn't satisfied frustrated leaving last night. For 2 ppl that had 2 6-8oz steaks, I had a beer, she had a cocktail, I spent 80$. Now I did leave like a 25% tip to the guy bartender just because he was nice and I'm a former bartender, I always tip well for good service. But to spend 80$ and I left 4 bites of my steak because it was just too tough with little flavor. Now, in fairness, I did order an 8oz NY strip, and that is a leaner cut. However it was almost too tough to chew and just wasn't worth the effort towards the end. I don't mind paying whatever price for food, as long as it's good, but mine wasn't. I also didn't tell my server because although one side was pretty charred, it was cooked medium rare like I ordered, so I didn't see a point. I don't know what can be changed from the employees POV, like I said it was cooked how I ordered and the service was good. I think the price was 22$ so idk if TR can get a better cut at that price point(I doubt it). I guess I just wanted someone to know. I love TR, and I typically have a great meal there, but I also go to the Georgetown one more often. But it's a good place for a decent steak at a good price, last night just wasn't my night I guess. I do usually get a sirloin or ribeye, so maybe me I'll just stick with those next time. I've had strips before, but this one was the toughest I've had. Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite places to eat ever. Hubby and I went to eat about 2pm, a much later lunch than normal; but that doesn't take away the experience of this great restaurant. We were seated quickly and the rolls were piping hot and the cinnamon butter is very hard to duplicate. Our server, Trevor, knew where we were sitting and on my way to the bathroom, asked what I wanted to drink; because he said that he wanted me to have it there when I got back to my seat. When I came back to my seat, drinks were there and he was back within 5 minutes and got our orders. I ordered Prime Rib with green beans and baked potato with melted butter and melted cheese. My husband ordered Fried Chicken w/gravy. Our food was later than it has ever taken before, not sure if there were just a lot of people eating around the same time as us or what the deal was. As our waiter, Trevor, came back with our food, he stated to me that he sent the baked potato back because the cheese and butter were not melted. In almost every Texas Roadhouse that we've been to, every server has to send it back. But what I will compliment Trevor on was that he sent the baked potato back before it even made it to our table; and most servers aren't that attentive to notice that, so that was very much appreciated. Servers don't ask what size draft beer you want so they can charge you for the larger size. Also, steak was abysmally thin cut.

Texas Roadhouse has typically always had really consistently solid food and service at a fair price. Which is why is is always packed night in and night out. I think the service and value are still there but the food quality/temperature has taken a distinct step back. The chain has probably 100's of locations but where I used to get a "meh" meal their one our 10 visits it is now 3-4 out of 10 visits it happens. I just hope they don't go the way of Logan's or Outback but that seems to be the pattern with all of these chains unfortunately. As the chain gets bigger and financially fatter quality seems to almost ALWAYS go down significantly. Rated 3 but more toward 3 and a half. read more

This is once again another Texas Roadhouse location. The managing partner is amazing and very pro special Olympics. The staff is always great and works super hard. I really love all the options that Texas Roadhouse has makes it the perfect option for everyone. They also have a new item called herb crusted chicken and it's freaking amazing. Try it. Went here on a Saturday afternoon around 330. Party of 3 waited about 20 mins to be seated. Took about 15 mins for our server to get our drink order. The server was pretty decent after that, I had a steak , fried, salad and we had a blooming onion app. The food was pretty good. Found what appears to be a mealworm, a cabbage worm, or some sort of other worm/caterpillar in the mixed veggie side. Will be a while until we return. Management was accommodating and provided a refund, but sounded like they didn't believe me. Photos do not show how gross and slimy and disgusting this was. Not much to say here. Wife and I decided to go out and get a decent steak. I got the strip steak (medium) and some fried pickles. They were out of fried pickles so I never got them. My steak was cooked well done and when I flipped it over it was burnt on the bottom side. My waiter was excellent. I didn't complain about the steak but I'm attaching a picture of the middles 3 cuts. Placed a to go order online. Received a text my order was ready pull into a to go spot and someone will be out. Nobody ever came and when I called they never answered. I went in to get my food and everyone in the To go area is just standing around looking at each other, even though the to go spaces are full. I get to my destination and don't have 1 sauce I've ordered and the way this food is dry and flavorless it needs some sauce. And I didn't get butter for my rolls. Ok so I'll start by saying I was tipped a $50 gift card from an event I bartended for the big bosses introducing the new "Texas Roadhouse canned Margarita". This is why I even went. 45 minute standing room only on a 12 degree Saturday night. After taking 20 minutes to drive around for parking in their lot. I watched as 2 booths beside me sat open and clean for 30 minutes of my wait. We were finallly say and I asked if we could have a booth (more comfortable seating for my bony butt) over that was still open and we're we're told "no you'd have to get back on the wait list. " We're starving by now so no. No rolls just seated and nothing about where thee menus were or anything about a server. Someone stops by and introduces herself and we got waters to start why wee chose a drink to try. Well amidst all the sugary margaritas I went with a $5 LIT and he got a rum and coke. Mine had more than a splash of coke but whatever $5. I ordered a combo app platter with sour cream and ranch. After asking I got sour cream and sugar butter. This reminded me, "I never got any of the famous bread and butter?" So we order it and correctly ask for the intentional sauces. My salad came out almost immediately after app. I put it to the side so I could focus 1 at a time. And after 2 bites of very mediocre tater skins, jalapeño bites, and overcooked boneless chicken bites, I stopped with that bad feeling. Austin s food came out and I waited for mine, along with 3 different people told me mine was on within 5 minutes. The salmon was so delicious but again mediocre cheese fries. I ask for 2 boxes and our check please and got 2 boxes of rolls and butter. Our server came back around and we got squared away. Only to come out and see someone hit my car because they over-parked over their line and hit me and left it. You can't files reports on par ruing lots so I left them a written "*$@k you" and left vowing to never return to this place ever again. The 1 star is for my salmon and the nice folks for giving me the gift card next time just add a $50 cash tip in the jar! read more
