Shawn the owner is professional, friendly and does a great business. The shop is kinda surf-themed, since that's what Shawn's passion is outside of haircutting. A little hard to find unless you know exactly where it is. While there I've heard stylists take appts for walk-ins as well as future appts. The phone does ring a lot so be patient and leave a message, someone will always call you back. I highly recommend A Cut Above, especially Alice, she makes me look so much better than I ever should!!!

I'm guessing that's because, as a one-man shop, David's personality seems to infiltrate the whole place. Absolutely professional, but with music, decor, color, and even tool storage that I suspect reflect David's personality. In any event, it works. None of that would matter without a great cut, and I'm happy to report that that's exactly what I got. David asked questions, made suggestions, and got right to work. It had been sent 45 minutes before my appointment. Still have not received a call but I did get another email asking me if I wanted to buy some beauty package. So frustrated that they didn't at least call me. I pay my caregiver $45 an hour and gas is expensive. If I no-showed them I'm sure I would have been charged. Super disappointing.
