It was my first time going to Ocean Paradise Nails & Spa and it was truly a 100000/10. From the moment I walked in, Lena, Van, and Mai were so welcoming and kind. They made me feel right at home, and the whole visit felt like a luxury experience. I got a luxury deluxe pedicure and manicure, and they really took their time. The pedicure included a warm soak, detailed nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, a deep scrub, paraffin wax, lotion, and a long, relaxing leg and foot massage. I literally fell asleep. They finished with hot towels and perfect French tips. For my manicure, they were just as detailed; perfect shaping, clean cuticles, and a flawless French tip. The hand and arm massage was also amazing and not rushed at all. What I loved most is they all worked on me at the same time, so I could fully relax while still getting top-quality service. They kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and happy. You can tell they truly care about their work, everything felt high-end and done with intention. I didnt want to leave a low star review as I dont want to negatively affect anyone's business. I went in to get a pedicure. After I picked my color I went to sit down and she was filling the tub with water. I was looking at that tub of water and I just couldnt do it. Maybe it was clean but it didnt feel that way. I knew if I declined to proceed they would flip out. So, quietly as possible I put my nail polish back and went out the door. I made it to my car and was inside before they came out yelling. I said no thank you no thank you as they were right up against my passenger door repeatedly tapping on the glass. One left and the older lady swooped in and started tapping on the glass kind of yelling what happend?!. Like I said, I knew they would flip out if I declined to proceed, so I tried to avoid it. I wanted to try somewhere new and got a gel pedicure here two weeks ago, they weren't fully cured and the same day I got home the polish was smeared off on both of my big toes. I had a flight early the next day and my toes looked horrible my whole vacation. I haven't had time to come back and get them fixed so it's been $65 down the drain. I also asked the woman not to cut my nails and only to file because I get ingrowns, she agreed and then while trimming my cuticles she snuck in and cut both toe nails on the inside crease exactly where I didn't want her to. I thought it was extremely rude. Do not recommend this place read more

I'm not one to leave a review, but I just moved out here and have been looking for a new place to get my nails done. This shop had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. Honestly ladies are soo nice and welcoming, but they do not know what they are doing. I asked for a simple French tip and the lady was struggling to do it. Not very sanitary either.. she was using her nail to clean up the BUILDER GEL. Also, for my pedicure the lady missed a lot of steps and coated my nail 4 times. Not to mention I was here for 3 hours. This is the first time I have had a bad experience at any salon. No I was not satisfied. The lady kept asking me if it looked good the whole time that I was there, I just didn't say anything because it had to get done. I was just counting down the time to leave. And before I left they charged me $135! I said I was not going to pay that much for a horrible service I was not satisfied with, but I did any way. Just never coming back here again! read more

I was in Aptos for a holiday and broke a nail. I stopped by to get a fix and a fill. They did a great job, maybe a little too much glue for me. But they came out good I even got an extra design. Place it self is a little dark and a bit over run with fake flowers and greenery but that's just aesthetics. People were friendly. Over all a positive experience. read more

I called ahead and made an appointment for 1pm today. I showed up on time, and was told to pick a color as soon as I walked in the door. I picked my color and sat in the pedicure chair as instructed and that's about it. I sat there for 25 minutes and was completely ignored. I looked around at the other people getting serviced, and it was clear no one was going to be free to help me for at least another 15 minutes so I got up and left. It especially bothered me that same lady who told me to pick a color, started working on a manicure on someone who came in after me. She also kept saying "Sit down honey", as I gathered my things to get up and leave but if they really wanted my business they should of been honest and just told me to come at a later time. Never do these reviews, but was very frustrated with my experience. Went to ocean paradise with my daughter after my main salon was closed for the evening. They were pleasant, but took Advantage of me by charging nearly $100 for my 6 year old daughter's nails and toes! Not including mine. So random but I found a wallet while walking into the salon. I was distracted trying to figure out the owner of it. They asked if she wanted a sticker on her nail. I said sure not realizing they were putting one on every finger! While I was doing a good deed contacting and coordinating pick up of this guys wallet I was being taken advantage of and totally up-charged by something we didn't even want. I will never return and I advise you to be careful with services and pricing at this salon. What I was hoping would be a fun Saturday date night with my daughter turned out to be extremely annoying. I love this salon! I started coming here a few months ago when they re-opened under the new staff. It's clean, bright, and the staff is very welcoming. I typically make an appointment for my pedicure or wax but they accept walk-ins and the wait isn't very long. Ask for Lena and she will take care of you. :) I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried this nail salon yet- to go and pamper yourself there. Wanted to try this place because it's closer than Tracy's (which is my usual go-to). I was quickly disappointed... I got a basic pedicure. I was very clear when I told the lady to only file my nails, no clipping. She started to file and then went to use the clippers. On my big toes she cut them so short and then filed even more--it hurt so bad I was wincing and she just looked at me and didn't say anything. She also kept going back to my toe and scraping it even though it was obviously very red compared to the rest. Maybe she was trying to help... by making it worse? Throughout the service she also would file more and more on all toes. My nails do not look very good. I learned at the end that she is new and training, and didn't speak much English. This explains the bad job and the clipping despite me telling her not to clip them. The boss/owner kept apologizing to me. The painting job was subpar. It took a really long time and after she put paint on each toe, she'd have to wipe off a bunch of spots she got paint on my skin. This made it sooooo slow. It was painfully slow. Her own nails would dig into my skin when she was holding my toes. She didn't wear gloves. Usually this isn't super bothersome to me, but it was uncomfortable. When she was scrubbing my legs with the brush it was unpleasant. Leg massage was fine. Something else I notice was that all the towels they use look kinda gross--they are all stained. I assume they're clean, but they don't look nice. Ambiance is fine, but the music is a bit loud. The place smells of chemicals and incense. I started my service at the same time as my mom and she finished long before me. Mine was very slow... we waited about an extra 40 minutes for me to be done. For reference, we got there and started our services at 10:00 and didn't leave until 11:30 (and all I got was a basic pedicure). I ended up in tears by the end of my service. Overall, I do not recommend this place unless you get the owner as your nail tech. read more

Had a great experience here today! It's super bright and beautiful inside with cute decorations and there were lots of colors to choose from. There was only one other person while I was getting my services done. My pedicure and gel manicure took about an hour and ten minutes which was AMAZING for me. Both ladies did awesome prep work and my massages were good too! I did the #3 pedicure with regular polish for $40 and a #1 manicure with gel for $45. I received a wonderful pedicure today! No appointment, so I had to wait 15-20 minutes, but I did so with my feet in warm water and a massage chair on my back. Gentle but thorough treatment of my cuticles and around my nails, nice long massage. They didn't have the color I wanted on the shelf, so they found what I wanted and opened a new bottle. Polish looks perfect! My only note: please turn the music down just a bit, and maybe play something a bit less repetitive. The vibe there could definitely be improved. I had not been there before and walked in the door and almost tripped over these metal pipes or some sort of structure that was popping up through the floor. Typical place you walk into and they tell you to pick a color so OK I get all that. I had made a reservation earlier with someone who never mentioned to me that they want cash only for tips and when you walk in, there are signs all over the place that pretty much demand that. When I asked if they had any change, they told me I could go to the liquor store across the street. I thought OK I can do that but sadly it's like they didn't even trust me. They had to have the lady who did my pedicure actually walk with me like I'm going to takeoff or something. It was very bizarre. The lady who did my feet kept telling me how clean everything is there and all the precautions they take... just not a comfortable vibe. The actual pedicure was decent, however. She took her time in making sure that my toenails were not in grown and so for that reason I'm going to give them three stars but the whole vibe again I'll say it the third time was negative.
